Man City’s NEXT Superstar? Nico O’Reilly Proves the HYPE 🔥

Manchester City came within minutes of a massive win at the Emirates before Gabriel Martinelli’s late goal made it 1-1 — but the big story wasn’t the scoreline, it was the rise of Nico O’Reilly. Thrown in at left-back against Bukayo Saka and Noni Madueke, the 20-year-old midfielder turned defender delivered a performance that had City fans buzzing. He wasn’t dribbled past once, won 4 of his 6 duels, made 6 clearances, and looked like he’d been playing the position for years. In this episode of the Blue Moon Botcast, we break down: 🔵 City’s performance vs Arsenal — why Pep’s tactics nearly stole all 3 points 🌟 Nico O’Reilly’s standout game and why fans are calling him “unreal” and “generational” 📊 The stats that back up his incredible display 👀 Whether O’Reilly could become a starter — and even push for an England call-up ⚽ Comparisons with Phil Foden and City’s next generation of homegrown stars City fans online couldn’t stop raving about him: 👉 “Nico O’Reilly was absolutely unreal.” 👉 “Underrated is an understatement…” 👉 “Nico O’Reilly, I’m so unbelievably moved.” Is this the start of something special? A Ballon d'Or for Dembele and goals galore for Kane

Jimbo’s got James Horncastle, Seb Stafford-Bloor, Pol Ballús and Julien Laurens for company as the Euro gang dive into another busy weekend of action from across the continent. In La Liga, Real Madrid continued their sensational run of form to begin the season with their latest victory, a 2-0 win over Espanyol featuring two absolute golazo’s from Éder Militão and Kylian Mbappé. They maintained their two-point lead over Barcelona - who beat Getafe 3-0 - with Marcus Rashford starting on the bench due to his poor timekeeping… Over in France, we were made to wait for Le Classique with dramatic storms sweeping over the Cote d'Azur… don’t worry, Jules will give his reaction to *that* result next week! Thankfully, we were able to talk about a fiery Brittany derby and Monaco’s resurgent Ansu Fati. In Serie A, Juve were perhaps suffering from a UCL hangover as they were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw at Hellas Verona, while Lorenzo Pellegrini’s remarkable redemption arc at Roma continued as he scored the only goal in Roma’s first win ‘away’ to Lazio since 2016. And in the Bundesliga, you’ll never guess… Harry Kane is scoring goals! Three of them to be precise - taking his tally to 70 goals in 67 league matches. But he wasn’t the only British export bagging a dreierpack - with Oliver Burke getting three of his own in Union Berlin’s 4-3 victory at Frankfurt! Plus - we’ve got plenty of Ballon d’Or chat, loud helicopters and particularly cheeky Nandos… Produced by Lucy Oliva. RUNNING ORDER: • PART 1: Moments of the week & Ballon d’Or chat (00.40) • PART 2: La Liga review - Real keep winning with Madrid derby round the corner (20.55) • PART 3: Ligue 1 review - Emegha shows his commitment to Strasbourg (35.40) • PART 4: Serie A review - worrying times for Fiorentina, Lazio & Torino (44.35) • PART 5: Bundesliga review - goal machine Kane - and Burke! Martinelli rescues Arsenal against Man City but Liverpool go 5 points clear

Jimbo has Daniel Storey, Jay Harris and Adrian Clarke for company, reacting to an enthralling Matchday 5 in the Premier League. Man City were seconds away from a victory at the Emirates in a distinctly un-Pep performance before Gabriel Martinelli struck to make it 1-1. But champions Liverpool go 5 points clear after their Merseyside derby win on Saturday. Is Ryan Gravenberch the player of the season so far? Elsewhere Wolves are rock bottom with no points, Villa scored but couldn't beat 10-man Sunderland and Chelsea's bad run at Old Trafford continued. And we pay tribute to Oliver Glasner’s Eagles who beat hapless West Ham to make it 17 games unbeaten. Produced by Charlie Jones RUNNING ORDER: • PART 1a: Arsenal 1-1 Man City (04.00) • PART 1b: The rest of Sunday’s action (14.30) • PART 2a: Liverpool 2-1 Everton (22.00) • PART 2b: Man United 2-1 Chelsea (26.30) • PART 2c: Brighton 2-2 Spurs (32.00) • PART 3a: West Ham 1-2 Crystal Palace (39.00) • PART 3b: Wolves 1-3 Leeds (47.00) • PART 3c: Burnley 1-1 Forest (50.00) • PART 3d: Fulham 3-1 Brentford (54.00) Hosted on Acast.
