The lads also award their regular season MVP, Defender of the Year, and Kirk Urso Heart Awards. They answer YOUR questions of the week, including what Crew player would be their lawn boy. (HINT: It isn't Josh Williams, but also it is.) A new CONTINUING CHAMPION is crowned, and the previous one is dead. #Rest. Playoff predictions galore... it's ACES Radio!

But they held an interesting press conference that was full of "accountability" and then didn't signal any significant changes headed your way. On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman and Eric Vieira discuss many different topics, but it's not exactly going to be rainbows and unicorns. The guys will start with announcing the Galaxy Team Awards and put Cristian Pavon's season into perspective. Later in the show, there's some more transfer talk surrounding Pavon, and it's important to note that there seems to have been a sizeable shift in position from both the Galaxy and Boca Juniors. Does that mean Pavon could be staying with the Galaxy? Josh and Eric will then dive into the postseason press conference that had Galaxy President Chris Klein discuss the many ways that the club got it all wrong. But are there any suggestions on how they're going to fix it? Does the tone seem different than after the failures of the 2017 and 2018 seasons? And have the Galaxy, at any time since Bruce Arena left, kept pace with the rest of the league? We'll admit it! It's a pessimistic view of the Galaxy's future, but what are there reasons to be optimistic when the same things keep happening? The guys will also get you updated on the state of contracts on the Galaxy before bringing you the offseason dates that are just around the corner. The bottom line is that the Galaxy are already having to make decisions about their future, and they don't have a head coach to help with that. We've got a packed show, and we're thrilled that you could join us this season. We're looking forward to keeping you updated in the offseason. Keep us close! Changes are coming for this club! But will they be the right changes?

Smith Hunter (USYNT & Harvard) and Mikey Lopez (Birmingham Legion) are running for seats on the USSF Athlete Council and joined us on the show to talk about their campaign! Also we announce our selections for the MLS End of Year Awards. Yes, you read that correctly. The Cooligans are officially voters for the MLS End of Year Awards like MLS MVP, and Coach of the Year! Alexi and Mosse sift through Decision Day’s fallout (07:26) and preview the early playoff rounds (17:00). Then, the guys dive in on everything in Europe, including the midway point of the Champions League group stage (33:30) and the EPL standings (40:30). Also, the USMNT’s upcoming friendlies, Alex Morgan, Gareth Bale and the biggest floppers Alexi has encountered are looked at in #AskAlexi (55:05). Finally, Alexi caps the show with a shoutout to young athletes aiming to change U.S. Soccer (1:15:12) in another remote edition of the State of the Union Podcast. Learn more about your ad choices. COG LA GALAXY DISCORD: https://discord.gg/9g8FcfU COG MERCHANDISE (SCARVES, T-SHIRTS, BUTTONS, COASTERS): http://www.cornerofthegalaxy.com/SHOP COG STUDIOS, Calif. -- The 2020 season if over for the LA Galaxy. And the 3-0 loss to the Vancouver Whitecaps put the perfect "bow" on a horrific season. On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter breakdown what happened after the game and why Galaxy players may have tipped their hands on what it was like to play under Guillermo Barros Schelotto. Can the guys connect some dots and add some insight into who was being held accountable and who wasn't? And should Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez be trusted with any say in the club's next coaching choice? This episode will dive into the Galaxy's thoughts on Dominic Kinnear, why he might be the perfect answer for the wayward club, and how David Bingham thinks the Galaxy made themselves good last time. Does it all come down to keeping things simple to make players good? And what seems like a reasonable timeline for the Galaxy to pick their next head coach? Finally, the guys give you some stats on Designated Players, on win percentage, and on a whole bunch of other things that you don't want to hear -- but you need to! We've got over 70 mins of Galaxy-talk heading your way, and we're glad you could join us through the entire 2020 season. We're not going anywhere, but we'd still like to say thank you!

Rog and Davo break down a rain-soaked draw between City and Liverpool, Everton's predictable loss to resurgent (again) United, and the USMNT's return to camp. See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

This week, Brad and Steve welcome in guest-host Kasey Keller to talk through the Sounders last 6 games, what to expect for Decision Day, and how they are built for the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs. Then, the chat with the USMNT legend about his time abroad, who starstruck him the most, and a pitch invasion or three at Millwall.
Well well well. If it isn't another Crew win-that-looked-like-a-loss followed by a loss-that-should-have-been-a-win. The lads check in... Bront talks about working the polls (not the poles), John talks about good beer, Drabby talks about playing Among Us. The lads recap games vs. DOOP and Orlando, the death of Crew defense, being winless on the road, and Caleb Porter's empty trophy case. They answer YOUR questions of the week, award man balls, and predict the season finale vs. Atlanta. #JoshWilliamsForPresident
