Paul Stalteri goes Under The Cosh

On Saturday, April 18 Under The Cosh travelled to the Ontario Soccer Centre in Vaughan to meet Paul Stalteri. Stalteri, who retired in 2013, is Canada's most-capped player, captained his country on 30 occasions, and was in the Canadian team that won the Gold Cup in 2000. In terms of his club career, he started locally with the Toronto Lynx before moving on to Werder Bremen, Tottenham Hotspur, Fulham and Borussia Mönchengladbach. Having been greeted and shown around by Paul's affable wife, Christina, we set up our equipment, did our own hair and make-up and waited for Paul's arrival. Let us tell you, the man has a handshake firmer than Sky's grip on Premier League television rights

Away to Swansea with the Arsenal FC Supporters in Toronto

Alexander and Mohaned go to the Fox and Fiddle on Yonge and St Clair to watch Arsenal away at Swansea. Although the result was not a desired one for the Gooners of Toronto it was still lots of fun. The fan base is definitely vibrant up here in Canada

Manchester Derby at O'Grady's with MUSCC

Bernie and Mohaned went to O'Grady's on Toronto's famous College street to watch the Manchester derby. The bar opened up early to host the Manchester United Supporters Club of Canada. With such a lively atmosphere it was a shame that Sergio Aguero had to win the game for the Citzens. Chris Smalling was sent off for a two moments of absolute senselessness but the fans at the bar were proud of the spirited performance from their team. We can't wait to see your club and its fans in action here in Toronto.
