As a Chelsea fan, who was around for Gyan's Sunderland win at the bridge and Borini's it was all too obvious from the start of the game that Chelsea were losing to Sunderland Even Garnachos 4th 4th-minute goal did little to calm that unsettling feeling.

Well, that was a match week with excitement all over. Chelsea, Spurs, and City raked in the goals, and Arsenal, and Liverpool trudged along professionally without a fuss. On the flip side Palace, Everton, and Wolves look like they are treading water already.

The premier league is back!!!! What an exhilarating round of fixtures filled with tension and jeopardy akin to that of a final this is why we love the beautiful game. As report cards go for the first installment of which 37 more will follow, I have 3 broad strokes that paint the entire league. Moved: Newcastle are the real deal. Man City are sleepwalking to a fourth title Arsenal - same solid Machine. Wolves can play Solid : Bournemouth will be alright Liverpool and Chelsea are nearly there but not quite. Palace, Brentford, Fulham, West Ham, Brighton (that's it nothing more nothing less) Burnley, Spurs - Kompany and Ange need to learn quick Scary hours : Villa's injuries to key players worry me. Sheffield are rivaling Derby's record of 10 points in the league. Luton. Everton needs to spawn a striker ASAP.

As with most things in life, progress is not linear, making it difficult to quantify.
