We’re back with another AFTN Soccer Show packed full of Vancouver Whitecaps, Major League Soccer, Canadian national team, and general football chat and interviews. We've two guests to cover everything on this week's show and first up is Global TV and Whitecaps radio play-by-play man Asa Rehman. Asa returns to the show to look at the Whitecaps season so far, what's gone well, what needs improving, and what may lie in store for the rest of the season to come and beyond. Next up is Vancouver author Murray Mollard to chat about his new book Winning Pitch about the history and the highs and lows of the Canadian men's national team these past 40-odd years and we chat about what needs to happen in the country to make Canada a true soccer nation. All of this plus we chat with Whitecaps FC 2 head coach Rich Fagan and before we move onto the letter N in our Canadian Soccer A to Z series, we bring you a couple of omissions from the last two letters. Music-wise, Scottish band Bis wrap up their residency as our Artists of the Month, Miaow are the latest band to feature in our 40th anniversary tribute year to the C86 movement, and Football Violence Awareness Month continues in Wavelength with Cork band Easy Company.
