And then we talk with Travis Grimes (@who_dey_tgrimes) about MLS, Spurs, USMNT, and a fun little story about Gareth Bale (among other things). It's a long one. Travis' interview isn't until approximately 52 minutes in.

Cool guy with a bright future.

France are out of Europe, after PSG's capitulation against Manchester United is followed by Barcelona beating Lyon 5-1 and Arsenal overturning Rennes' first-leg lead with a 3-0 home win. The gang's all here to discuss that, and the Classique which saw PSG beating OM 3-1 in a game that saw Steve Mandanda sent off, banjaxing OM's chances. Kris, Jez, Phil and Rich cover all that, the relegation fight, various fan protests, the latest on Adrien Rabiot, and the France squad for the upcoming Euro qualifiers against Moldova and Iceland, as well as any other business.

Alexi and Mosse react to FC Cincinnati's storybook home debut in the State of the Union (2:28). Also, Cristiano Ronaldo and the Champions League draw are unpacked in Mosse Makes the Case (17:02). Then, MLS surprises, the FIFA Club World Cup and Chris Wondolowski's legacy are looked at in Ask Alexi (26:44). The good times continue for Man United as they make history in Europe by enjoyably mugging off PSG while their largely injured squad watched on from the sidelines (and internet). And, as well as looking back, we look forward to their trip to the Emirates, Crystal Palace and Brighton locking beaks in what may now become known as The Delayed Derby, while Neil Warnock tries to get in Southampton heads. Off the pitch, Robert Snodgrass has a lot of explaining to do, we learn that as well as a David Beckham statue there’s a David Beckham temple, and Ramble Baker Steve Hobbs makes a welcome return, with news of an opportunity. Scheduling conflicts forced the boys into an unconventional episode that split them up a little bit. First, Brad and Mike discuss Tottenham, Champions League, and some Premier League and then, Mike and Jimmy talk about Manchester United, Ajax, and a tiny bit of MLS. But the treat of the episode is an interview (@31:50) with long time Wolverhampton Wanderers fan, and co-founder of Wolves USA (@WWFCUSA), Chris Wood (@WWFCOHIO). He joins us to tell us what it's like to be a Wolves fan in America.

Alexi and Mosse discuss the frustrating nature of the hand-ball rule and other rule changes in the State of the Union (2:28). Also, a study revealing Cristiano Ronaldo's calm under pressure is unpacked in Mosse Makes the Case (20:27). Then, Josh Sargent's recent time at Werder Bremen, the USMNT's progression and Man United's managerial future are looked at in Ask Alexi (33:30). Finally, concerns for the USWNT heading into the summer, the return of MLS and Champions League favorites all headline The Back Three (44:52). Learn more about your ad choices. Robbie Mustoe and Robbie Earle reflect on a Derby Weekend having a big impact on 'The Race to the Finish'. Liverpool failed to score against their local rivals (01:00), Tottenham and Arsenal shared the spoils in a game that really did have everything (23:00), Manchester United scored a late winner in a game with 5 excellent goals (53:00), Man City went top by grinding out a win against West Ham (57:00), Maurizio Sarri finally closed the book on the Kepa saga and Brendan Rodgers started his reign as Leicester City boss with a loss at Watford.

After a busy midweek run of matches, the Robbies regroup to break down some of the key stories. First they chat about whether Maurizio Sarri made the right choice in starting Caballero over Kepa. Then, they talk the newest developments in the title race ahead of the Merseyside Derby (22:00), the race for 4th place (34:00), and Rafa's resurgence with Newcastle (46:00). Finally, the Robbies talk the return of Brendan Rodgers, and the exiting of Claudio Ranieri (48:30.)

The boys needed three attempts to record this episode. Our first take was probably best so you are left with our scraps; of which you WILL enjoy. Or else. We still manage to cover Tottenham, ManU, Newcastle, Almiron, Arsenal, and Champions League in this abbreviated episode. Please drop us a line on Twitter if you are getting any enjoyment out of this at all.

A mixed week for English clubs in Europe so far as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s party suffers its first real setback, in fact the party too such a turn he chucked out Alexis Sanchez and Paul Pogba takes himself home. Spurs, on the other hand, are having such a lovely time that if they’re not careful they won’t get their deposit back before they move into the new place. Looking ahead to an FA Cup weekend we’re keeping an eye out for a cupset as Man City visit the mighty Newport County, and there’s the usual mixture of DNA tests, goal machine Shane Duffy and Luke’s live remixing.
