Totally Gold 95-96: Keegan's Newcastle and the best Premier League game ever

Back in the summer of 2020, Jimbo and co passed the time reviewing classic Premier League campaigns. For the last time this summer, we bring you the thoughts of Michael Cox, Daniel Storey and Matt Davies-Adams on the 1995/96 season, when Keegan's entertainers nearly went all the way. Newcastle were the neutrals' favourites and Man United were in transition with their kids. But a 12 point lead in January evaporated for the Magpies via Cantona, a legendary Keegan outburst and the greatest game in Premier League history. Elsewhere, English clubs were terrible in Europe, Alan Hansen was embarrassed by the Class of 92 and Man City were relegated due to a lack of technology. Produced by Charlie Jones. RUNNING ORDER: • PART 1a: Blackburn stink up the joint (04.00) • PART 1b: Man City relegated (06.30) • PART 1c: Keegan's Newcastle examined (08.00) • PART 1d: Man United usher in the Class of 92 (13.00) • PART 2a: Liverpool 4-3 Newcastle (19.00) • PART 2b: Keegan and Big Ron's outbursts (22.00) • PART 2c: United's grey kit (26.00) • PART 2d: Did Newcastle bottle it? Totally Gold 98/99: More than just Man United’s treble

Back in the summer of 2020, Jimbo and co passed the time reviewing classic Premier League campaigns. Here from the vault, we bring you the thoughts of Michael Cox, Daniel Storey and Matt Davies-Adams on the 1998/99 season, when there were many twists and turns but one team won it all. It was the best season ever to be a Man United fan with Sir Alex Ferguson's side taken right down to the wire but winning the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League. But what else about 98/99 have you forgotten? Di Canio shoving a referee? Liverpool having joint managers? West Ham finishing 5th? Relive one of the most dramatic seasons in Premier League history. Produced by Charlie Jones. RUNNING ORDER: • PART 1a: Gullit joins Newcastle (04.00) • PART 1b: John Gregory’s Aston Villa (06.30) • PART 1c: West Ham finish 5th (09.00) • PART 1d: Paolo Di Canio versus Paul Alcock (10.30) • PART 2a: A three-way title race (15.00) • PART 2b: Forest relegated, Van Hooijdonk on strike (25.00) • PART 2c: Houllier/Evans at Liverpool (28.00) Hosted on Acast. Totally Gold 2013/14: When Liverpool let it slip

Back in the summer of 2020, Jimbo and co passed the time reviewing classic Premier League campaigns. Here from the vault, we bring you the thoughts of Michael Cox, James Horncastle and Tom Williams on the 2013/14 season, when there were 4 teams in the title race! It was Manuel Pellegrini's Man City that won it but this will always be remembered as the championship Liverpool lost, after Gerrard's slip and Crystanbul. Imagine if Luis Suarez had gone to Arsenal. The Gunners led for most of the season while Mourinho was back at Chelsea and threatening to lead them to glory once again. Plus we had Di Canio at Sunderland, Pardew head-butting a player, and Anelka sacked for a goal celebration. Produced by Charlie Jones. RUNNING ORDER: • PART 1a: Arsenal fail to sign Suarez (02.30) • PART 1b: Paolo Di Canio at Sunderland (07.00) • PART 1c: Liverpool 5-1 Arsenal (10.00) • PART 1d: Liverpool 3-2 Man City (12.30) • PART 2a: Liverpool 0-2 Chelsea (17.00) • PART 2b: Crystanbul (21.00) • PART 2c: Anelka and the quenelle (25.00) Hosted on Acast. Totally Gold 1994/95: Blackburn's title, Cantona's kick and Klinsmann's quality

Back in the summer of 2020, Jimbo and co passed the time reviewing classic Premier League campaigns. Here from the vault, we bring you the thoughts of Michael Cox, Daniel Storey and Matt Davies-Adams on the 1994/95 season - the first time the title race went to the final day. This was the season where Blackburn won their first title in 81 years and Alan Shearer was snubbed for the Ballon d’Or. Man United’s season was defined by Eric Cantona’s kung-fu kick at Selhurst Park and the shock mid-season swoop for Andy Cole. Plus four teams going down, Arsenal’s disastrous year and the impact of Jurgen Klinsmann on the Premier League. Produced by Charlie Jones. RUNNING ORDER: • PART 1a: Forest finishing 3rd! (03.00) • PART 1b: Klinsmann’s impact on the PL (07.00) • PART 1c: Dalglish’s Blackburn bidding for the title (11.00) • PART 1d: Andy Cole moves to Man United (16.00) • PART 1e: Cantona’s kung-fu kick(18.00) • PART 2a: The final day of the season (24.00) • PART 2b: An extra club goes down (30.00) • PART 2c: Magic Matt Le Tissier (32.00) Hosted on Acast.
