Over the last week there have been several attempts to interrupt Premier League games with members of the group Just Stop Oil trying to tie themselves to the goalposts. At Goodison Park last Thursday one member of the group was successful in tying himself to a post. Why are these protests happening? Football is vulnerable to climate change, just as much as it was to Covid-19 which caused seasons to be suspended with no matches played for months. The dangers are different, but just as stark if not more so.
