Episode 369 - The AFTN Soccer Show (Rules Are Made To Be Broken)

That was the week that was, it's over, let it go. So went the opening lyrics to the 1960s satirical BBC show That Was The Week That Was, or TW3 as it was more succinctly known. And it's been a quiet week in the North American footballing landscape. That gives us the chance to trial a new format I've been keen to try, combining two shows I love - TW3 and AIOTM on AFTN. What could go wrong?! We'll be breaking down the week's Whitecaps, MLS, and CPL news as the days played out, and throw in a few fun bits as well. Let us know if you like it. But we also continue our new section to pick our Whitecaps of the decade, looking at the defence and picking our starting right back, left back, and two centre backs. Let us know if you agree. Plus The Cockney Rejects are back in Wavelength, The New Royal Family begin their residency as our artists of the month for December, and there's BC Soccerweb headlines. The year is fast coming to a close and so is the decade. So far it's all players on their way out at the Whitecaps, but could that change in the coming week as the MLS end of season draft mechanisms get into full swing? We take a look at some of the players available and the Whitecaps news of the week, plus we hear from former 'Cap David Norman Jr about his departure from Vancouver and the new challenge awaiting him in Miami. But it's also the time of year for reflection and we kick off a new section to pick our Whitecaps of the decade, starting with selecting the manager and goalkeeper for the team. There's also some Canadian Premier League chat as we look at the award nominees for this week's trophy presentations and hear from Forge FC owner Bob Young. Plus does Derek Cornelius fancy a chocolate digestive? And there's a song about George Best in this week's Wavelength, Goldie Lookin' Chain finish up their residency as our artists of the month for November, and there's BC Soccerweb headlines.
