What a fun weekend of international football we’ve had, and what a fun weekend of Premier League football we’re about to have! We chat about Scotland’s promotion, Ireland’s bound-to-be-entertaining search for a new manager, the retirement of flag-punching legend Tim Cahill and Gianni Infantino’s novel approach to what should probably be private discussions. Back in domestic football we welcome Claudio Ranieri back to England, rub thighs in anticipation of Spurs vs Chelsea and rub chins ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Bournemouth. And if you’re worried that we missed it, we absolutely talk about Patrice Evra sucking a raw chicken. If you already have episode 307, this is just a repeat *** Ah, the offseason. A quiet time for reflection and fun and games on the show. Or so we hoped. But nothing could have prepared us for the Vancouver Whitecaps bloodletting that took place at the club's end of season media day last Tuesday. We look back at all the big talking points from the Whitecaps' very own red wedding. Is there a locker room divide? Is there a culture problem at the club? Who's to blame? Plus we play you the thoughts of veteran Mexican midfielder Efrain Juarez on it all. What's next for the club? There's a new manager coming in but do the changes need to go much deeper? Also what will he make of what happened and what he's coming in to and will he even have much of a squad to inherit? With a number of player's futures very much up in the air, we look over a few and sit down with goalkeeper Spencer Richey after his return from a season long loan with FC Cincinnati. Will he be heading back there? Plus we talk fan abuse and struggling to settle in with Felipe, look the weekend's action around MLS, and much more.
