Bayern Munich has reportedly given up on persuading Alphonso Davies, a target for Real Madrid, to extend his stay with the club. The Bundesliga team has made occasional attempts to communicate with Davies' representatives over the past few months but has achieved no progress towards a contract renewal. The Canadian player had proposed lowering his salary request from €20 million per year to €17 million, which is close to Bayern's previous offer. However, there has been no significant movement since then, while Real Madrid remains poised to act. With Davies' current contract set to expire in 2025, he's at a critical juncture at the age of 23, and Real Madrid is not inclined to pursue him in January. According to Relevo, the Spanish club is determined to avoid taking Davies' potential signing lightly, as they have with previous transfers. Their goal is to secure him on a free transfer next summer as part of their defensive restructuring efforts.

Lisa Carlin and Sandra Herrera went live on YouTube for an "A3 One Shot" reacting to the news that NWSL side Seattle Reign have loaned defender Sofia Huerta to Olympique Lyonnais through June of 2025. The loan takes effect immediately, so Huerta will miss the upcoming home match against Gotham FC on Monday. An interesting move by Seattle as they are only three points below the playoff line and on a 5-game unbeaten stretch. Additionally, Huerta had just signed a three-year contract extension with Seattle earlier this season.
