Their pressure finally told late on when Jack Payne struck an 86th-minute winner, completing the turnaround and sealing a valuable three points for the U’s.For Edwards, the assist adds to a steadily growing contribution this season, with the 25-year-old now on 1 goal and 4 assists in 33 League Two appearances in 2025/26. His direct running and creativity from the flank once again gave Colchester a constant outlet in attack.
