Rodriguez played for his country earlier this as Colombia were beaten 3-1 by France in a friendly game ahead of the summer's World Cup, and was rushed to hospital soon after.

On Thursday, the Colombian Football Federation released a statement confirming the former Real Madrid star had spent 72 in the hospital.
