And look what they made Jim do. He’s only gone and smashed all his precious Ming vases in his living room. Marcus and Jim review a difficult night for Arsenal in Europe, as they were beaten by a canny Inter side 1-0 and did a peak impersonation of David Moyes’ Man United. Jim explains why he’s concerned about Arsenal’s inflexibility. Plus, our man on the continent – and for once we don’t mean Andy Brassell – brings us an excited voicenote from the Parc des Princes after a winner with the last kick of the game. Oh, and Tyrone Mings concedes a truly bizarre penalty for Aston Villa. Believe us… VOTE FOR US TO WIN AN FSA AWARD! CLICK HERE. The weekend’s football looked like it was going to be full of surprises until it wasn’t, as Man City and Liverpool kept up their intriguing ding dong, followed by some mind games from Pep, while plucky Man United tried their best against Bournemouth but continued to struggle at this level. Andy Carroll got onto the pitch though, and in a Newcastle win! So that was nice. Aside from this Jim unfairly slanders Tyrone Mings, we hear about Rafael van der Vaart’s change of career and for some reason Liz Taylor makes her Ramble debut. On what should have been a night for analysing England’s impressive performance in Bulgaria, racist abuse from the stands is, rightly, the main focus on today’s episode of Jules & Andy. We discuss the dignified response of the England players and staff, the unprecedented actions taken by UEFA and how this abuse can be stamped out at future matches. There’s also time for deserved praise for the likes of Raheem Sterling and Tyrone Mings, the latter hugely impressive on his international debut, who are sought out for comment by the media spotlight on occasions like this. We do manage to talk about England’s hugely impressive display on the pitch and take stock of where this England team are, eight months out from Euro 2020. We're currently on tour! Join us at venues across England, Europe, USA and Canada for Football Ramble Live - expect all your old favourites (including Pete Donaldson), brand new games and a load of laughs. It’s the first international break of the season and we have a look at the most important contest of the week, which is of course Michael Owen vs Alan Shearer. Where the hell did that come from? Let’s see how this fascinating story develops. As well as minor things such as the Euro 2020 qualifiers we learn how to keep tabs on various Peters, flying footwear and the spotting of a Ramble favourite in the wild… Meanwhile, Luke inexplicably forgets about the very existence of Alan Hutton.
