Nathan Ake is back on the Official Man City Podcast as our latest guest... The Netherlands international returns for our latest episode as he sits down with host Liam Loftus for a fascinating chat. Since his last appearance on the Official Man City Podcast, Ake has collected a fourth winners’ medal in his fourth season since joining the Club. But he has not lost any of his desire, discussing his frustrations at missing early parts of the campaign. He also discusses watching the Treble documentary Together and how it reminded him that every season has it’s difficult moments. Nathan Ake is the latest guest on the Official Man City Podcast. The Dutch international joined the Club in 2020 from Bournemouth and, over the following three years, has become a key figure in Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering side. His versatility, consistency and intelligence have been of immense value to a City side consistently challenging on multiple fronts, with Ake often called upon to play in a number of defensive roles. It hasn’t always been smooth sailing for the Dutch international though, and he discusses the important words of encouragement he received from Pep Guardiola after an injury-hit first season at the Etihad in 2020/21. The defender has more than repaid the manager’s faith during his time at the Club and played the full 90 minutes in our historic Champions League triumph over Inter in June.
