A deep dive into the pool of players born in 2001 or later, and thus eligible for the 2021 U20 World Cup. Joey Anthone (@USAprospects) and Matt Hartman (@MattSHartman) join me to give an early look at the players who have a chance of playing in the next U20 World Cup. Disclaimers apply (the kids are young and the tournament is two years away) and the show notes are detailed. Use them! We talk about who we think is already a lock, who’s in the next tier down, and who has an outside chance of breaking in, position by position, answering listener questions as we go.

The U17 World Cup starts in three months! Wicky kicks off a camp in California this week as he and the boys prepare for the tournament in Brazil. He discussed how the team improved at the Concacaf Championship, his impressions of the DA playoffs, his thoughts on where on the field Kobe Hernandez-Foster will likely play at the World Cup and outlined some of the roster decisions he faces in the next three months.

Our guest today is Julian Araujo, the young, pacey, aggressive right back for the Los Angeles Galaxy, the U.S. U20s, the U.S. U23s and hopefully, soon, the USMNT. He’s a top right back prospect who’s attracted attention from El Tri and youth call-ups from the USA. He assisted Zlatan Ibrahimovic's first goal in the Galaxy's El Trafico on Friday. We talked about that, his upbringing, his decision to play for the Barca Academy, where he wants to improve his game and his national team future.

Tom is here with all the news and rumours surrounding Liverpool FC for Friday 19th July including links to Kai Havertz, USA tour news and some other wingers! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

After Inter Milan and Manchester United hold talks over Romelu Lukaku, the panel explain why he will not be sold cheaply and would be difficult to replace (06:23). Sky Italia’s Valentina Fass joins the show to discuss whether Inter can actually afford Lukaku, as well as providing updates on Toby Alderweireld, Matthijs De Ligt and James Rodriguez. With West Ham’s pursuit of Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gomez ending, the Hammers’ move for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Sebastien Haller is discussed (10:16), including whether he would be a good fit in the Premier League. As Aston Villa prepare to take their spending past £100m, Rob Dorsett phones in to assess whether it is money well spent (15:29). The panel assess how Antoine Griezmann will fit at the Nou Camp and whether there is also room for Neymar (34:50). Laurent Koscielny’s refusal to travel on Arsenal’s preseason tour of the USA is also on the agenda (38:58). As is the future of Dani Ceballos, with North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham going head to head to land the rising Spanish star on loan from Real Madrid. Transfer Talk is a Sky Sports podcast. Seriously, if you love learning about the US Men's National Team and its player pool, make sure you subscribe to the One Goal newsletter: https://www.onegoal.us/ Felix and Rohan from OneGoal give us an honest opinion of the US's Gold Cup campaign. We then get hoodwinked by a secret Arsenal fan (Rohan) and he gives us his opinions on a bunch of Arse topics. We finish out the episode by getting hot and bothered over Tottenham's signings and Jimmy leaves us cliffhung (not a word) with the Wan-Bissaka signing for Man United. Although every single Rooster and the Devil episode ends with a mostly original song, I'm particularly happy with this one about Tottenham and the Premier League coming back soon. Hugs and Kisses XOXO

Easily the most pleasing to the eye performance from the USMNT in the Berhalter era. We break it down and look ahead to Mexico on Sunday.

Our guy @nicodegallo runs us through his live viewing experience of the USA vs. Curaçao. Then we talk about Michael Bradley and his terribleness. Finally, he does his best to explain away the riches of Man City and tells what they need to be ridiculously good again next year. Rooster and the Devil Summer marches on.
