France top the dreaded Group F, followed closely by Germany (who now face England in the Round of 16)! Portugal sneak through in third, and Hungary exit as expected. Plus, Spain finally unleash the goals, and Sweden impress against Poland. The Tifo team administers the final group stage round up before a couple of days off! Hosted on Acast. Matt Davies Adams, Daniel Storey and Adam Crafton are here on the day of goals and destiny in the Euros. In Group F, F stood for fun as each team at some stage were bottom of the table or facing England in the next round. In Group E, we weren't expecting too much but Spain came to have a fiesta, with a hand from Martin Dubravka, whilst Sweden and Poland put on a five goal thriller. So have Spain finally arrived? And now all eyes turn to the Round of 16 which kicks off on Saturday with Wales v Denmark with the former left asking "are we the badies?" And we try to work out if there's any way past Italy for Austria. All that plus a dive into UEFA's "politics", some Euro 2004 action, and our updated predictions. Matt Davies Adams, Tom Williams, and Daniel Storey are here as England top Group D and as Scotland bid farewell to their first tournament in 23 years. So Scotland are out but what does it mean? We ask The Athletic's Jordan Campbell who's live at Hampden for his reflections on a heartbreaking night for the Tartan Army. More positive scenes over at Wembley though, well for 12 minutes anyway, as Sterling netted again and England top the group and look at facing, erm, France/Germany/Portugal/Hungary! Speaking of which tomorrow is today and today is the last day of the group stages, and there are still two groups to sort out. Namely Group E and F where it's looking concerning for Spain and rather brighter for Germany. All that plus we hit a few bum notes. So much Euros! Spain keep falling into bad fortune and Germany and Portugal played a weirdo classic and how about Denmark... so much to get into. Why there are more interesting teams at the Euros than we expected and why the tournament's probable two best aren't among them, where's Bruno, what to do with Verratti, and more. Support the show

Even Cristiano Ronaldo couldn't halt a resurgent German performance that's put die katzen amongst the pigeons in Group F. Marcus, Jim and Pete also offer a shoulder for Álvaro Morata to lean on, as he followed up his first tournament goal with a shoddy miss and then got substituted. Meanwhile, France nearly lost to some unfancied but buoyant underdogs - who on Earth would do that... We'll be releasing even more shows throughout the Euros! Matt Davies-Adams is joined by Lynsey Hooper and Tom Williams after arguably the most exciting day of action yet at Euro 2020. Germany bounce back from defeat to France with a 4-1 thrashing of Portugal. Never write them off. Are the holders in danger of elimination at the group stage? Hungary cause their own upset by holding world champions France in Budapest. Should Les Bleus be concerned about the lack of goals from Karim Benzema? Speaking of a lack of goals, Spain toil to another draw, this time with Poland. Alvaro Romeo identifies the reasons behind their struggles. From the weather to fan apathy. Group A concludes on Sunday with Wales travelling to Rome to face Italy and confirm their place in the next round. Will the likes of Ramsey, Bale and Ward impress again? Plus Seaman’s laugh, Foden’s flick, and Sousa’s fashion faux-pas. The Group of Death became the Group of Life today, with Hungary holding out for a 1-1 draw against tournament favourites France. Not to mention Germany giving Portugal a good old seeing to. Plus Spain are still struggling to finish those abundant chances. All of this and more from the Tifo team on this fine Euro2020 day number 9. Hosted on Acast. Matt Davies-Adams, Duncan Alexander and Daniel Storey react to one of the most anticipated days of Euro 2020 so far. Scotland take a point from Wembley as Steve Clarke’s bold selection pays off. Has Gareth Southgate been spooked by the anonymous Harry Kane? And is there much point in lionising Grealish when England function best as a team? Group F on Saturday offers mouth-watering clashes between Hungary and France and Portugal up against Germany. Raphael Honigstein gives us his thoughts on what Jogi Low’s tactical approach should be against the holders. Spain take on Poland where it’s Morata v Lewandowski – equals when it comes to international tournaments. And not in a good way. Plus Blackburn’s Ben Brereton bags in the Copa America.
