Real Madrid forward Vinícius Júnior praised Barcelona star Lamine Yamal for publicly condemning anti-Muslim chants in a recent match, saying players need to stick together in the fight against discrimination.

Spain manager Luis de la Fuente gave an "absolute and total rejection against xenophobic and racist attitudes", calling it "not tolerable".

Over the weekend many in the football community boycotted social media accounts in protest against continued hate, discrimination and racism which continues to be seen on social media platforms.
