After losing to Seattle last weekend, they're entirely focused on Orlando City and that pesky little Pato they bring. On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman and Sophie Nicolaou are getting you ready for Saturday's early game and telling what else is happening around your Galaxy. Josh will talk with LA Galaxy II head coach Yoann Damet about the double-header coming up on Saturday. And why it's one of your few chances to see G2 play in front of a crowd at home. But the real focus of the show will be on the open media availability on Wednesday and what we learned from a pretty intense day for the Galaxy. Is Vanney ramping this team up to find fitness and reliability? Or is he trying to break bad habits with a lot of hard work? Is the answer both? You'll hear from Vanney and Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez, who talks about playing on concrete and watching the playoffs from his couch. There's some excellent audio there. Finally, Josh and Sophie want to discuss the Galaxy's game against Orlando City and why it might be Kevin Cabral's turn to show some leadership. Can the Galaxy counter the counter? Can the Galaxy control a team that wants control? And can the Galaxy defend a team that might be shaky on defense? We've got a great show lined up for you as you get ready for a big weekend game! Thanks for joining us!

Dan Bardell welcomes Florence Lloyd-Hughes and David Preece to the show for reaction to England's last warm-up fixture before the belated 2020 European Championships. It was another 1-0 win and it had plenty more in common with the Austria game as Gareth Southgate selected a side featuring mostly fringe squad players, some who won't make the final 26, but at least one who will. James Ward-Prowse will hope to take the spot vacated by Trent Alexander Arnold but Ben White could be a dark horse with Harry Maguire's fitness still a doubt. Jack Grealish has started the last two friendlies, providing dynamism and a cutting edge, and he is fancied by some to make the starting XI against Croatia. Sam Johnstone almost certainly won't feature, but he will be a reassuringly solid third choice between the sticks. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

The Athletic's David Ornstein is joined by our German football writer Raphael Honigstein, our Chelsea correspondent Simon Johnson and our analytics writer Tom Worville to look at the latest on the increasingly public saga that is the future of Dortmund's Erling Haaland. We get the inside track on his, and agent Mino Raiola's, current state of mind from Rapha, Worville runs the numbers to try and work out which of Europe's big clubs would suit him best, and Simon has insight on why there might be some at Chelsea who haven't given up on luring Haaland to Stamford Bridge this summer. There's also a look at the fallout from Chelsea's 5-2 defeat against West Brom at the weekend, with reports of an understandably heated dressing room that turned into training ground scuffles on Sunday. Plus we're joined by our Aston Villa correspondent Gregg Evans for our weekly look at the England picture ahead of the Euros, this week focusing on Jack Grealish's race to regain fitness ahead of the tournament.
