For Sheffield United, Paul Heckingbottom has departed, replaced by former favourite Chris Wilder, but has everyone welcomed him back with open arms? Sandra Herrera and Lisa Roman prepare for the 2022 NWSL Season with a full Chicago Red Stars preview. The Red Stars start the 2022 preseason without a named head coach but did add new front office members during the offseason (3:29). They run through Chicago’s changes during the offseason, mainly adding a lot of younger players to the pre-season roster along with the biggest signing of Yuki Nagasato, traded back to Chicago after one season with Racing Louisville (9:33). In terms of the losses, Chicago suffered hard hits trading away Julie Ertz, Sarah Gorden, Katie Johnson and Kelsey Turnbow to name a few (14:02). The biggest burning question for Chicago heading into 2022: Can Chicago maintain their legacy as the league continues to grow (33:10)?
