Kelly Cates presents the first Saturday Night Football of the 2023/24 season alongside Jamie Redknapp, Andros Townsend and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink who witnessed Newcastle produce an impressive 5-1 victory against Aston Villa at a raucous St. James’ Park. Redknapp was particularly impressed by Sandro Tonali’s instant impact in Newcastle’s midfield and said "It was one of the most impressive debuts from a midfielder I've seen in this league”. Townsend singled out Anthony Gordon, who was also instrumental for the Magpies, and he feels the winger has got his confidence back after helping the England Under-21’s win the European Championship’s in the summer. The trio also discuss Harry Kane's transfer to Bayern Munich and whether it was the right move for the England striker.
