As a manager, Guttmann won titles in Hungary, Brazil, and Portugal. He is most famous for winning back-to-back European Cups with Benfica in 1961 & 1962. He was a coaching pioneer and was ahead of his time in many ways (fitness, psychology etc.). He shares many similarities with Jose Mourinho and other modern-day managers and his imprints are littered throughout the game.
