Is the Bundesliga Title Race on While Serie A's Is Done?

Musa and Ryan begin with running through some key results from the men’s FA Cup third round (04:14) before shouting out some notable scores in the women’s FA Cup. Brighton best Liverpool again and Dyche rocks up at Everton

Jimbo is joined by Tim Spiers, Daniel Storey and Liam Tharme after a captivating FA Cup 4th round weekend and ahead of the transfer window slamming shut. Non-league Wrexham entertain us all with a 3-3 draw against Sheffield United, but Brighton are the big winners on Sunday, getting the better of Liverpool again. We rave about Mitoma and why the Big Six keep flocking to the Seagulls for players. Elsewhere, Man City edge past Arsenal with their big man little man strike partnership, Spurs are eyeing silverware even with moaning Danjuma, and agricultural Walsall catch Tim’s eyes. Plus Gordon, Caicedo, Semenyo and that Ronaldo free-kick against Portsmouth. Produced by Charlie Jones. RUNNING ORDER: • PART 1: It’s Sean Dyche at Everton (02.00) • PART 2a: Wrexham 3-3 Sheffield Utd (08.00) • PART 2b: Brighton 2-1 Liverpool (14.00) • PART 3a: Man City 1-0 Arsenal (28.00) • PART 3b: Preston 0-3 Tottenham (33.00) • PART 3c: Fulham 1-1 Sunderland (37.00) • PART 4a: Happy transfer deadline day (40.00) • PART 4b: The rest of the FA Cup weekend (44.00) SIGN UP TO THE ATHLETIC TODAY FOR £1.99 A MONTH FOR 12 MONTHS • theathletic.com/totally • Get 20% Off and FREE shipping with the code EPL23 at manscaped.com Hosted on Acast. Wolves cry foul while Potter needs patience

Jimbo welcomes Daniel Storey, Adrian Clarke and Tim Spiers into the pod after a pulsating FA Cup 3rd round weekend. Chelsea are thrashed by Man City at the Etihad and we have that crazy conversation about Graham Potter’s future at the Bridge. Are the players playing for Potter? Do the fans need to accept some short-term pain for long-term gain? Wolves fall victim to some questionable offside decisions in their draw with Liverpool at Anfield as Lopetegui continues to improve the players. But Emery’s Villa are upset by Stevenage while Wrexham, Boreham Wood and Chesterfield do the National League proud. Elsewhere there’s the non-celebrating Josh Windass, the calm Marco Silva and the happy Marcus Rashford. Plus it’s Carabao Cup quarter-final time with possibly the biggest game of Newcastle’s season. Real Madrid are beaten by Villarreal with The Athletic’s new Real correspondent Guillermo Rai telling us why the champions are so suspect defensively. And the panel pay their tributes to the late, great Gianluca Vialli. Produced by Charlie Jones. The Future Of Domestic Cups | The People's Poll ep. 119 | Planet FPL

Last Friday there was a meeting between chairs of the Premier League, The FA and the EFL and one of the key talking points was how the domestic football calendar may have to change from the 2024/25 season. On this Podcast Suj & James discuss why the revamp of the European competitions means that something will have to give in the domestic calendar. Will teams who have qualified for Europe have to field development teams in the Carabao Cup? Why can't those teams just withdraw from the competition? Will this be the end of FA Cup replays? And could The Community Shield be played abroad? Tomorrow on Planet FPL: Clash of the Correspondents, Everton v Southampton with @spirit_blues & @CS_Wipeout On Patreon today it's the Patreon Q'N'A ___________________________________________ Want to become a member of our FPL and SkyFF community and support the Podcast?
