Women's Euro 2025 Preview with Lauren Harris | Planet FPL

Lauren Harris joins James to preview The Women's European Championships that kick off in Switzerland tomorrow, and England's Lionesses will be among the favourites. But they haven't been helped by the draw and England are at risk of an early elimination should things go badly from a Group that also contains France, The Netherlands and Wales. The lopsided nature of the draw means Spain should breeze through to the Semi Finals and it does guarantee one of the lesser nations reach the final four. To get to that stage England won't have to just navigate their Group of Death, but also a likely Quarter Final against Sweden or Germany, the two sides England beat to lift this trophy three years ago. All 16 nations covered, best players to keep an eye on, England's likely line up for their opener on Saturday and there are two Fantasy formats on the tournament covered too. Club World Cup MW3 Review | Planet FPL 2025

James discusses key moments from the final Group games at The Club World Cup and looks ahead to the upcoming last 16 ties. There's a focus on Manchester City and their fluidity in last night's victory over Juventus, why Chelsea will fancy their chances in the competition now, the disappointment for the Argentinian sides and why on reflection we probably should have expected their neighbours from Brazil to out perform them. EXPECTED OWN GOALS: Olympics Recap: The USWNT Opens its Account With a Dazzling Win over Zambia

There were a couple of emphatic 3-0 wins in Group B as the Olympics tournament kicked off on Thursday. The USWNT contained Barbra Banda and put Zambia to the sword with some dazzling goals from Trinity Rodman and Mallory Swanson. What did the US do right? What can they carry over to their match against Germany on Sunday, a team that looked stout and strong against a naïve Australia? Eric and Evan leave no stone unturned. Georgia do the Portuguese!

Goodbye to the group stages! And it finished with a magnificent day for Georgia, a terrible day for António Silva, and a reminder for Pete Donaldson that Cenk Tosun exists. Pete, Jim and Vish discuss the final round of group stage sparring before the knockouts, with a sensational display from Georgia who are rapidly becoming our favourite team. Plus, Czech Republic and Turkey ruin everyone’s Ramble predictions for number of cards at the tournament in one fell swoop and there’s quite literally an electric atmosphere in the Romania vs Slovakia game. Kevin De Bruyne and co could have done with a bit of that, too… We're back on stage and tickets are out NOW! Argentina late game heroics, England’s struggles persist & Austria takes Group D

Alexi Lalas and David Mosse recapped the Copa América defending champs late winner, and a wild day in Euros Group D. Lautaro Martinez was the hero for Argentina in the 88th minute, during a very physical and exciting match. Canada secured their first win of the Jesse Marsch era, in a win or go home dual. Over in Euro Group C, England was frustrated despite topping the group, while Denmark and Slovenia advanced with two goalless draws. The teams that advanced in Group D came down to the last minute with 7 goals in two matches. Austria ultimately took the top spot over France, and Serbia missed the knockout round. (3:50) To wrap the show, the guys discussed what life would be like if Messi stayed retired back in 2016. Who would be considered “the GOAT”? Where would Argentina be? Mods And Cons | Planet FPL On Euro 2024

Clayton joins James to discuss the latest for Euro Fantasy and last night's conclusion to Group B as Spain's second string team beat Albania and Croatia are nearly out after Italy scored a 98th minute equaliser which means a possible end to Luka Modric's International career. And in the second half of the Podcast there's discussion on England and the intel suggests it will be one change with Connor Gallagher replacing Trent Alexander-Arnold. There's reaction to the news, what Clayton and James would do, a look ahead, knowing that irrespective of the result tonight, England are through to the last 16, but how important is it that they win the Group? Mr Rat

What happens when you put two English referees on one of the most exciting clashes of the group stages? A 0-0 draw. That’s what PGMOL do to ya. Marcus, Luke and Vish react to France drawing a blank against the Dutch, while Andy shares his experience of the atmosphere in the stadium but fails to pronounce buffet correctly. Plus, they discuss Austria’s slick team performance against Poland thanks to the great Specs himself, which has left the lads worried that Austria could literally press England into their own net. But – fear not – a Serbian psychic has predicted everything will be okay... Elsewhere, there are fresh revelations about our new favourite footballer Serjio Robert Livingstone Pohlhammer and Pete gets a new nickname. We're back on stage and tickets are out NOW! France draw with the Dutch while Austria and Ukraine are victorious

Jimbo welcomes Duncan Alexander and Mark Carey into the studio as we see our first elimination from Euro 2024. Poland are gone but we should be seeing a lot more of France and the Netherlands who battle to a 0-0 in Leipzig. No France player has scored a goal yet - how badly do they need Mbappe back? Are the dark horses back? Austria dismantle the Poles and look like making a real impact at this tournament. Tim Spiers tells us more from Berlin. And Ukraine come from behind to beat Slovakia and reignite their campaign. Plus we look ahead to Saturday’s action. Jose Delgado details why Portugal fans feel frustrated with Martinez. And we could be set for an incredible finale in Group E. Produced by Charlie Jones. Theme music by JJ Bull. Big week for PSG in the Champions League and a big win for Girona at Barcelona

It’s Jimbo and co, namely James Horncastle, Raphael Honigstein, Julien Laurens and Alvaro Romeo, ahead of the last Champions League group stage games as we know them. Man United must beat Bayern to stay in the competition, a task which may have become harder after Thomas Tuchel’s side were humiliated by Eintracht Frankfurt and now have a point to prove. Group F promises an enthralling finale with a must-win game for both Newcastle and Milan, while PSG could also miss out on the last 16 in what could be a huge week for Luis Enrique. Enrique’s old club Barcelona are dismantled by the new leaders of La Liga - Girona. Publicly the Catalan side say they’re not in the title race, but do we believe them? Plus Aubameyang on fire, the game of the season in the Bundesliga and Parma Palermo. Produced by Charlie Jones. Brazil bypass Switzerland, Ghana get away from South Korea and Portugal pass Uruguay

Jimbo, Sasha Goryunov and Duncan Alexander gather to summarise Day 9 of the World Cup. We had two contenders for game of the tournament on the same day! Cameroon took the lead against Serbia but the Serbs scored three in succession to lead 3-1 only for Cameroon to drag it back to 3-3. The result probably means both sides are out but Vincent Aboubakar did score a lovely lob. Ghana looked like they were sailing to victory with a 2-0 lead over South Korea heading into half time. Then two goals in three second half minutes saw South Korea level before Mohammed Kudus scored his second, Ghana’s third, and secure what could be a massive three points in Group H. Massive because Portugal’s win over Uruguay sees the Portuguese qualify and leaves Ghana in pole position to follow them through. Plus we look ahead to the biggest game at the tournament tomorrow… Iran vs USA. Bassil Mikdadi gives us the Iranian perspective on their winner takes all game. And The Athletic’s Sam Stejskal gives us the perspective from the American side. Produced by Charlie Jones & Steve Hankey Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

We ask The Athletic's Jordan Campbell who's live at Hampden for his reflections on a heartbreaking night for the Tartan Army. More positive scenes over at Wembley though, well for 12 minutes anyway, as Sterling netted again and England top the group and look at facing, erm, France/Germany/Portugal/Hungary!
