Adrien Rabiot has reportedly been tempted to leave AC Milan, receiving a huge offer to join Saudi Pro League

Adrien Rabiot has established as one of the best players at AC Milan, becoming an undisputed starter under head coach Massimiliano Allegri. Following his strong performances, the Frenchman was reportedly approached with an offer to join the Saudi Pro League. Following the arrival of Massimiliano Allegri, AC Milan secured the signing of Adrien Rabiot, who had been impressing at Olympique de Marseille. Under the Italian, the Frenchman rediscovered his best form, becoming a key figure for the Rossoneri throughout the season. As one of the team’s most important players, he was reportedly tempted to leave in the summer of 2026 after receiving a lucrative offer from the Saudi Pro League. According to Nicolò Schira, via X, Adrien Rabiot has received a formal approach from the Saudi Pro League. In an effort to convince him to join, the Frenchman was offered a three-year contract with a very high salary—something the Rossoneri can not match. However, with a contract running until 2028 with AC Milan, he has decided to reject any offers, aiming to continue his tenure with the club. As a central figure for Massimiliano Allegri, Rabiot has established as one of the most important players in the squad, alongside Luka Modrić. With 2,281 minutes played, the Frenchman is among the team’s most utilized players, playing a key role in orchestrating the attack. He has also contributed five goals and five assists. However, his impact goes beyond the statistics, as he has become an undisputed leader within the team. While Adrien Rabiot has become a key figure for the Rossoneri, fans are still expecting a greater impact from him in the final third. As a box-to-box midfielder, he consistently gets into the box, but has yet to be truly decisive in terms of goalscoring. That said, it is not solely down to the player, as the squad as a whole has struggled to deliver a high-level attacking output. As a result, AC Milan are reportedly already preparing a key midfield reinforcement. Adrien Rabiot of AC Milan Report: AC Milan look to reinforce Rabiot with Leon Goretzka At the start of the 2025–26 season, the Rossoneri delivered a solid run of form, even reaching the top of Serie A. However, the drop in performance from Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leão exposed the team’s overall level. Looking to strengthen Adrien Rabiot’s impact for next season, AC Milan are reportedly prioritizing the signing of Leon Goretzka, who could be an ideal complement to the squad. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, head coach Massimiliano Allegri has made the signing of Leon Goretzka his top priority. After offering him a €5M-per-season salary and a three-year contract, AC Milan are hoping to secure his arrival, viewing him as an experienced and reliable profile. However, the Rossoneri would likely need to qualify for the 2026–27 UEFA Champions League, as the German is keen to compete at the highest level. With Goretzka’s potential arrival, Adrien Rabiot would gain stronger defensive support, allowing him greater freedom to express his attacking qualities. At the same time, the German midfielder also has the ability to contribute offensively, providing an additional threat in front of goal. Securing his addition to the squad could significantly boost Milan’s competitiveness, while also helping unlock the best version of Rabiot under Allegri.

Rafael Leão reportedly decides to leave AC Milan after fan boos during recent defeat

Despite his strong start to the season, Rafael Leão is not going through his best moment at AC Milan, having gone more than a month without scoring. Following this, fans booed him in the latest defeat, which has reportedly led the Portuguese to decide to leave the Rossoneri. At the start of the 2025–26 season, Rafael Leão emerged as the team’s most decisive player, leading the scoring charts following Christian Pulisic’s drop in form. However, the Portuguese is not going through his best run, having more than one month without scoring. After having received boos from the fans in the team’s latest defeat, he has reportedly decided to leave AC Milan at the end of the season. According to Andrea Ramazzotti, via La Gazzetta dello Sport, Rafael Leão felt very mistreated by the boos from the fans. Not only has he been playing several matches with pubalgia, but he is also playing out of position. Despite this, the Portuguese does not feel valued by the supporters for his great efforts for the team, further opening the door to a potential departure in the summer of 2026. While Leão shone as a world-class left winger, Massimiliano Allegri has not managed to fit him into his system. With his 3-5-2 setup, he has had to adapt to playing as a center forward or second striker—positions that are not natural for him and are being used for the first time in his career. With no indication that the system will change, the coach seems determined to stick with it, leaving the Portuguese without an ideal role at the Rossoneri. Despite his poor form at the Rossoneri, coach Allegri has chosen to publicly defend him, highlighting his improvements in the game. However, Rafael Leão has not been able to return to his best version, as he has no way of playing with the same prominence as a left winger, something that does not seem likely to change. For this reason, he could force a departure, seeking a team where he can thrive with his pace and dribbling. Rafael Leao of AC Milan Report: Rafael Leão is attracting interest from the Premier League Throughout his professional career, Rafael Leão has proven to be one of the best left wingers in the world. Under head coach Stefano Pioli, the Portuguese was in peak form, excelling both as a dribbler and a goalscorer, surpassing 10 goals and 10 assists. While he has not managed to shine under coach Allegri, he is still reportedly attracting interest from the Premier League, where his playing style would stand out. As a fast player with outstanding dribbling ability, Leão is attracting attention from Manchester United, as he is seen as an ideal complement to their attack. In the event of a €40–50M offer (around $46–58M), the Rossoneri would be open to his transfer to the Red Devils, as he is no longer considered untouchable and his relationship with the fans is not at its best, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. If he were to regain prominence as a left winger, Rafael Leão could once again become one of the most impactful players in soccer world. In addition, the high tempo of the Premier League could suit his style of play, giving him opportunities to rediscover his best version. However, the Portuguese is also reportedly attracting interest from Saudi Arabia, presenting another potential option.

Report: Neymar’s agent to hold talks with FC Cincinnati over MLS move as he regains fitness at Santos

While the star remains focused on his objective of reaching full fitness with Santos, Neymar's father and agent is reportedly set to hold talks with FC Cincinnati representatives to complete his move to the MLS. Neymar has been linked with a blockbuster move to Major League Soccer, with FC Cincinnati emerging as the frontrunner to land his signature. While the Brazilian star continues working his way back to full fitness at Santos, his agent is reportedly set to hold talks with Cincinnati over a potential deal. According to ESPN Brasil, Neymar’s father, who also serves as his agent and the primary manager of his business affairs, is awaiting a face-to-face meeting with FC Cincinnati to move the conversation forward. With the MLS club’s interest in the former Barcelona star confirmed as genuine, the meeting would represent a significant step in the early stages of negotiations. The outlet reports that Neymar’s entourage intends to hold the meeting with Cincinnati’s representatives in person. While financial terms have not yet been disclosed, the primary objective of the gathering is to assess the viability of a deal, covering salary expectations and bonus structures. The meeting is expected to take place in the coming days, with Cincinnati’s delegation aiming to make their case for Neymar to join the league after the World Cup, regardless of whether he ultimately features in the tournament. Club president and owner Jeff Berding and sporting director Chris Albright are among those set to make the trip, accompanied by a team of image rights specialists to help advance the discussions. Neymar Junior of Santos competes for the ball with Ruan of Atletico Mineiro. Neymar focused on returning to fitness While speculation over his future continues to swirl, Neymar’s attention for now remains firmly on getting back to peak condition and earning a place in Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil squad for the 2026 World Cup. Despite the noise surrounding his next move, the forward took the field for Santos last Saturday in a 1-0 win over Atletico Mineiro. In an encouraging sign on the fitness front, Santos head coach Cuca expressed confidence that Neymar will be available for every upcoming fixture. “Neymar filled his tank, and Gabigol did too. They performed well in the match. It might have been their best game in terms of competitive and physical levels,” Cuca said after Saturday’s win. “The trend is for him to keep playing; he doesn’t need to play the full 90 minutes. We’ll manage his workload so they are ready to go every three days,” the coach added. Santos face Recoleta on Tuesday in the Copa Sudamericana, followed by Fluminense next Sunday and Coritiba on the 22nd in the Copa do Brasil. The optimism comes at a critical time, as questions have lingered over whether Neymar would be able to withstand the physical demands of a World Cup, where teams can be required to play every three to four days. Notably, Neymar has not played four matches within a three-day window since July of last year, making the upcoming fixture run a significant test for a player who was once considered among the very best in the world.

Harry Maguire reportedly rejected move to Messi’s Inter Miami to focus on Manchester United and World Cup

Focused on Manchester United and in the 2026 World Cup, Harry Maguire has reportedly rejected a move to Lionel Messi's Inter Miami. Harry Maguire has rediscovered his best form in recent months, catching the attention of Inter Miami as his contract at Manchester United approached its expiration in June 2026. While the prospect of playing alongside Lionel Messi was reportedly on the table, the English defender has chosen to remain at Old Trafford, with his focus firmly on both the club and the 2026 World Cup. According to Transfermarkt and The Sun, Inter Miami were among the clubs interested in signing Maguire on a free transfer, along with Napoli. With the Herons dealing with a defensive crisis and still holding an available international roster spot, bringing in the England center back was seen as a viable solution to shore up the backline. However, Maguire reportedly turned down Inter Miami’s approach and has instead agreed to a one-year contract extension with Manchester United. That option had always been available for the club to exercise, and following Maguire’s resurgent run of form, United wasted no time in making the announcement official, with still two months remaining in the current season. As for Maguire, the defender expressed genuine enthusiasm about staying. “You can feel the ambition and potential of this exciting squad. The determination throughout the whole club to fight for major trophies is clear for everyone to see, and I am confident that our best moments together remain ahead of us,” he said in a statement on Manchester United’s official website. Harry Maguire of England. Maguire and a return to his highest level After a turbulent stretch at Manchester United that saw multiple managers dismissed, the captaincy stripped from him and a near-move to West Ham in 2023, the tide has turned dramatically for Maguire. Back as a regular starter, he has been a key figure in United’s push to third place in the Premier League, a finish that would return the club to the Champions League for the first time since the 2023-24 season. On the international front, Maguire has also worked his way back into England’s plans since September 2024. He featured in both the Uruguay and Japan friendlies during the March international break, and in an interview with The Athletic made clear just how motivated he is to be part of the World Cup squad. “Whatever role the manager would want me for, whether that’s starting or deciding games late on, I still believe, even at my age, I’m arguably one of the best defenders in the world in both boxes. I don’t think that’s open to question, really,” Maguire said, with Thomas Tuchel set to submit England’s final World Cup squad list in May.

Cristiano Ronaldo watches closely as Saudi Pro League rejects Al-Hilal’s complaint against Al-Nassr teammate Abdullah Al-Hamdan, but there’s a catch

Cristiano Ronaldo is watching developments closely as Al-Nassr navigates an off-field controversy involving teammate Abdullah Al-Hamdan. Cristiano Ronaldo is watching developments closely as Al-Nassr navigates an off-field controversy involving teammate Abdullah Al-Hamdan. The club has received a favorable ruling in a dispute that has drawn attention across the Saudi Pro League, but the situation remains layered with uncertainty. The case, centered on Al-Hamdan’s transfer, has sparked debate about regulations and player rights. While a decision has been reached, the story is far from fully resolved. The issue began when Al-Hilal filed a formal complaint against Abdullah Al-Hamdan following his move to Al-Nassr during the winter transfer window. Al-Hilal argued that the striker had unilaterally terminated his contract without valid justification, describing the action as a breach of league regulations. Saudi newspaper Arriyadiyah indicated that Al-Hamdan informed Al-Hilal of his contract termination just days before its official expiration. This timing allowed him to complete a free transfer to Al-Nassr, a move that immediately triggered legal scrutiny. “Al-Hilal had filed an official complaint… protesting the player’s unilateral termination of his contract during the winter transfer window,” the report noted. Abdullah Al-Hamdan of Al Nassr celebrating. Official decision rejects the complaint After reviewing the case, the Professionalism and Players’ Status Committee of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) delivered its verdict. The committee accepted the complaint in form but rejected it in substance, effectively clearing Al-Hamdan of wrongdoing. It also dismissed Al-Hilal’s request to impose penalties under Article 62 of the professional regulations. The reasoning was procedural, as the complaint was filed before the matter had been taken to the appropriate legal authority for contract disputes. According to Arriyadiyah’s latest update, the committee rejected the complaint based on the merits of the case and procedural grounds, reinforcing the legitimacy of the decision. Abdullah Al-Hamdan of Al Nassr The catch: Legal battle far from over Despite the ruling, the situation carries an important twist. Al-Hilal’s management is preparing to file an official appeal and may escalate the case to higher legal bodies, including the Dispute Resolution Chamber. This move keeps the controversy alive and opens the door for further legal examination. The possibility of escalation means the case could extend beyond domestic committees and into more complex arbitration processes. Saudi journalist Abdullah Al-Hanyan suggested on X (formerly Twitter) that Al-Hilal believes it holds strong documentation to support its position. This determination signals that the dispute could continue to shape headlines in the coming weeks. Al-Hamdan’s impact on the pitch While the legal process unfolds, Abdullah Al-Hamdan has continued to contribute on the field for Al-Nassr. The striker has made 10 appearances, scoring four goals and providing one assist, showing his value to the squad. His performances have helped reinforce the club’s attacking options during a crucial period of the season, especially in Cristiano Ronaldo’s absence. This on-field impact adds another layer to the case, as the player remains central to Al-Nassr’s ambitions.

Rafael Leao’s AC Milan future in doubt as Portugal star reportedly offered to Barcelona in $58 million move

Despite appearing to emerge as a star for Massimiliano Allegri, Rafael Leão’s future at AC Milan is full of uncertainty. In light of this, the Portuguese has reportedly been offered to Barcelona in a €50 million move ahead of the summer of 2026. Despite his unpromising start to the season, Rafael Leão has managed to earn a spot in coach Massimiliano Allegri’s rotation. Nevertheless, the Portuguese’s future at AC Milan is not entirely certain, as his inconsistent performances open the door to a possible departure. In light of this, the 26-year-old winger has reportedly been offered to Hansi Flick’s Barcelona in a $58 million(around €50 million) move in the summer of 2026. According to Corriere dello Sport, the Rossoneri are open to listening to offers for Rafael Leao. However, the Portuguese would only leave for an offer exceeding $58 million. Although he has a $210 million (around €180 million) release clause, they believe the 26-year-old star has already completed a cycle with the team, making this one of the last opportunities to secure a good transfer fee for his rights, as his contract expires in 2028. Throughout his career, Leao has been linked with Barcelona, as his agent Jorge Mendes already attempted this move in previous seasons. Given his potential departure from AC Milan, the Blaugrana are closely monitoring a possible move for Rafael, staying in contact with his agent. However, they have not decided to make a move for his signing, waiting until the summer of 2026, reports Diario Sport. Despite Rafael Leao being a target for the Blaugrana for several seasons, they are not entirely convinced about his signing. The Portuguese has not managed to deliver consistent performances at AC Milan, alternating strong displays with notable dips in form. Additionally, Hansi Flick demands defensive commitment from his wingers, something the 26-year-old winger does not particularly excel at, raising serious doubts. Rafael Leao of AC Milan looks on. Report: Barcelona have three top priorities at left wing ahead of Leao Ahead of the 2026–27 season, Barcelona remain attentive to strengthening the left wing, as Raphinha has been dealing with quite a few physical issues. Given this, the possible departure of Rafael Leão from AC Milan emerges as a strong possibility. Nevertheless, the Blaugrana reportedly maintain three priorities to reinforce this position ahead of the Portuguese. According to Diario Sport, the Blaugranas are keeping a close eye on the possible continuity of Marcus Rashford. After already fitting in with Hansi Flick, they are evaluating his performances in the final stretch of the season to decide whether to pay the €30 million buy clause. In addition, he is willing to take a salary reduction, opening the door to his permanent stay. In case that he fails to convince at Barcelona, they have decided to bet on young talent. In this context, the development of Abde Ezzalzouli and Jan Virgili is reportedly being monitored. As academy players, they would have a smooth adaptation to Flick, which is seen as a differential factor. Additionally, the Blaugranas hold 20% of Abde’s future sale and 40% of Virgili’s future sale.

We’re back with another AFTN Soccer Show packed full of Vancouver Whitecaps, Major League Soccer, and World Cup chat and interviews. We also round-up the weekend's action around the MLS West, see how the battle of the Canadian keepers played out this week, and look ahead to the Whitecaps' big Champions Cup clash with Seattle this week. Our feature interview this week is a special one as we catch up with former Whitecaps winger Ali Ahmed to chat about his move to Norwich, settling in with the Canaries and into English football, and look back fondly at his time in Vancouver and the excellent season both he and the team had last year. Liverpool Lose 3-in-a-row | United Back to Winning Ways | Arsenal Rise to the Top

Dharmesh Sheth is joined by Julien Laurens, Jacqui Oatley and The Telegraph’s Jason Burts to reflect on the weekend’s sporting action. We begin with Chelsea’s last-minute win over Liverpool at the Bridge. Whilst Laurens praises Maresca’s victory and show of emotion, he criticises Liverpool’s lack of control, with a third loss in eight days. Jason believes Liverpool’s winning start to the season was unsustainable and considers it a missed opportunity that they didn’t buy Marc Guehi in the summer. Next we look to Man United’s home win over Sunderland; whilst Julien focuses on Amorim’s side’s lack of consistency, was this clean sheet and good performance a sign of things to come? We then have The Athletic’s Megan Feringa on the pod to talk WSL; how far can Manchester United go this season? And with Arsenal dropping seven points already in the WSL, after bringing in Olivia Smith, why is it they can’t get over the line in the league in the same way the likes of Chelsea are able to? We also look at Arsenal’s win against West Ham, taking them to the top of the Premier League and Julien believes the Gunners’ control gave Nuno’s side no chance of winning the game. Finally, a gritty win for Tottenham against Leeds showed Thomas Frank’s ability to bring a different side to Spurs; Jason believes Frank can get them back in to the top four this season. Running Order: 3mins – Liverpool Lose 3-in-a-row 20mins – United Back to Winning Ways 38mins – Megan Feringa on WSL 46mins – Arsenal Rise to the Top 65mins – Frank’s New-Look Spurs Sunday Supplement is a Sky Sports podcast.
