It's almost the weekend which means it must be time for yet another preview show! And boy oh boy are there some games to sink our teeth into (there always are to be fair, because that's how football works). First up, Fulham head to Wembley to face Spurs and attempt to exorcise their Crystal Palace-related demons, and we ruminate on when those north Londoners are ever going to be in their new home. After that we applaud Mike Ashley's attempt to save the great British high street before taking a look at their appointment in Cardiff, before wondering if anyone is ever going to cut Unai Emery some slack. There's also all your usual favourites, including emails, Going 4 Glold and lots more. To get involved, it's [email protected]. Love you! This show is sponsored by bet365. ***Please take the time to rate and review us on iTunes or wherever you get your pods. Hello again friends, we're back and bloody excited for the new season! And there's plenty to get our teeth into as well - Pep Guardiola's Man City outwit Chelsea in the Community Shield, but we're still a way away from the full Sarrification of those Blues. There's also transfer news a go-go, particularly at Liverpool, and Jose Mourinho seems to be on a one-man mission to undermine everything at Old Trafford. Meanwhile, the Championship is back with a bang, and Pete spends quite a bit of time comparing the show to a big bouncy castle. A tortured analogy, and probably not the last one you'll hear from him this season, let's be honest. We also look ahead to the midweek Canadian Championship semi-final in Montreal and get some thoughts from Whitecaps President Bob Lenarduzzi on how the club view the Voyageurs Cup. Plus a look at the weekend in the MLS West and we make Mike Petke's postgame rant on Saturday even more epic. We've got two interviews for you this week. The first is with a Canadian Hall of Famer - a member of Canada's only ever World Cup squad from Mexico 1986, Dale Mitchell. We talk World Cup memories and his hopes for what the Canadian Premier League will do for the latest crop of talent as they build towards 2026, and maybe even 2022. We also chat with TSS Rovers head coach Colin Elmes about his team's second season in the PDL and what he's learned from it to take into their third one next year. All this, plus lots of World Cup talk, World Cup Wavelength continues this week with a song from 1998, and some Canadian Premier League chat. In the last installment of our 2018 World Cup pods, Earle and Mustoe weigh in on an interesting World Cup Final between France and Croatia.

What a delight this World Cup has been! We saddle up in the studio one last time to run the rule over the final, have a warm glance back at England’s performances, our overall highlights and, of course, reveal our pre-tournament predictions. Thanks to each and every one of you for joining us for a life affirming, exhilarating World Cup. We couldn’t do it without you. At least not without it being really odd. We’ll be back in August, so until then, it’s goodbye from London… This show is sponsored by bet365 Search ‘Football Ramble’ on social media to find us, and email us here: [email protected] ***Please take the time to rate and review us on iTunes or wherever you get your pods. In today's pod, Earle and Mustoe discuss an opportunity lost in England's defeat to Croatia. The guys lament England's drop off after the early goal before applauding another impressive gut-check victory from Modric, Perisic, Rakitic & Co. Then, the guys breakdown France's controlled victory over Belgium and preview Sunday's Final. Lastly, Rob and Rob are reminded that the Premier League kicks off in less than one month with some breaking news on Chelsea and Antonio Conte!

The semi-final may have been a game too far for England but what a journey it’s been. Gareth the Lionheart’s young team fell short but gave us memories that we’ll cherish forever. Knighthoods for all! We look back over England’s tournament with fondness, surprise and a little bit of curiosity about what could have been. That’s more like it. We also discuss the irrelevances that are the third place play-off and the final. Well, here we are in uncharted Football Ramble territory, as England prepare for a World Cup semi-final with Croatia. We steel ourselves for the game by way of adventures with Keith Allen in Screw Fix, reminiscence of tournaments past and the fev-o-meter going into overdrive. Alongside that we look over an impressive, surgical win from France, enjoy a dig from Fabio Capello and learn to ‘drink more responsibility’. Needless to say, Cristiano has the last laugh. This World Cup has certainly lived up to the hype! In today's pod, Earle and Mustoe preview the World Cup Semi-Finals of France-Belgium and Croatia-England. The guys also look back at the Quarter-Finals and highlight the impressive play of Lloris, Kante, Hazard, De Bruyne, Lukaku, Pickford & Trippier (among many others...)

And on it goes. England guarantee that they’ll play the maximum amount of games in a World Cup by making the semi-final. It’s one of the most surprising things to happen in the time we’ve been doing the podcast and, frankly, we are giddy. There was another game too, as the mighty England’s opponents need to be decided. Russia bow out having had a memorable tournament in a game full of surprising expectations, excellent goals, ratty goals and misjudged dinks.
