Jimbo is alongside Duncan Alexander, Charlie Eccleshare and James Horncastle as Italy & Spain set up a semi-final meeting at Euro 2020. Roberto Mancini’s Italy knock out the number 1 ranked team in the world in Belgium, in a performance that has everything. How have the Azzurri managed to put together this 32-game unbeaten run? And why wasn’t Mancini more in demand? Spain are victorious on penalties against 10-man Switzerland but are hugely wasteful in front of goal again. Alvaro Romeo tells us why the Spanish might be about to click, through unity and conviction. But do they lack personality? In Saturday’s quarter-finals, it’s Czech Republic v Denmark and then, England v Ukraine in Rome. Yevhen Muzyka tells us why Shevchenko isn’t as popular as you might think. Plus how the nation reacts when the hugely endearing Southgate wins. Jogi Low has now managed his last game for Germany, who pay the price for having a halfway house attitude towards their football. REACTION: England Beat Czechs, Top Group D

Dan Bardell reunites the Sunday night England Show podcast team of Flo Lloyd-Hughes and Carl Anka to review another 1-0 win for England. Gareth Southgate's side finished top of Group D with seven points and three clean sheets. Jordan Henderson and Harry Maguire got valuable match minutes, and surprise starter Bukayo Saka gave an excellent performance. Yet, there were still moans. It wasn't the most eventful second half, and Harry Kane looked a little sluggish again. So, have we got what it takes to beat France, Germany, or Portugal? Hosted on Acast. The buttock region

Matt Davies Adams, Tom Williams, and Daniel Storey are here as England top Group D and as Scotland bid farewell to their first tournament in 23 years. So Scotland are out but what does it mean? We ask The Athletic's Jordan Campbell who's live at Hampden for his reflections on a heartbreaking night for the Tartan Army. More positive scenes over at Wembley though, well for 12 minutes anyway, as Sterling netted again and England top the group and look at facing, erm, France/Germany/Portugal/Hungary! Speaking of which tomorrow is today and today is the last day of the group stages, and there are still two groups to sort out. Namely Group E and F where it's looking concerning for Spain and rather brighter for Germany. All that plus we hit a few bum notes. Shortly after the game, it was announced that Philippe Vignolo - @Philousports on Twitter - had died of a heart attack. It's a measure of his 'petite notorieté' (his words) that this was announced mid-match by Omar da Fonseca on live TV, various France players paid homage to him just hours after they had got off the pitch, and the French press, sporting and not, have published tributes. Binary solo

Matt Davies-Adams, Duncan Alexander and Dom Fifield react to a day of record-breaking goals and record-breaking passes at Euro 2020. The Tartan Army’s return to tournament football is an unhappy one as Patrick Schick inspires Czech Republic to victory from the halfway line. Did Scotland prove they are genuinely unlucky? Or are they just not clinical enough? Sweden channel their inner Palace to stifle Spain and draw 0-0 in Seville. Alexander Isak looks the real deal, Alvaro Morata – not so much. Slovakia overcome Poland who continue to struggle for goals at major tournaments, even with Lewandowski. France face Germany on Tuesday – with the Mbappe Giroud spat stealing focus, is there a chance Les Bleus could implode? And Hungary will face Portugal in front of 60,000 fans in Budapest. Contemplating the risky text

Matt Davies-Adams is in the hot seat in the company of Carl Anka and Daniel Storey after a dazzling Day 3 at Euro 2020. England exercise real control and relaxation in their opening game as they defeat Croatia at Wembley. A great day for Phillips and Mings as Southgate’s team selection is completely vindicated. And he can afford to not even use Grealish or Sancho. Netherlands and Ukraine contest the game of the tournament so far as the Dutch win 3-2 in Amsterdam. And an angry Arnautovic seals victory for Austria over North Macedonia. Which is more interesting than their kit or nickname. Scotland’s first tournament game in 23 years is against the Czech Republic on Monday. The most important game they’ll play in this group stage? And Spain and Sweden face off in Group E with Morata and Isak both looking to show their worth. Romania Reaction: Another Underwhelming Win

Dan Bardell welcomes Florence Lloyd-Hughes and David Preece to the show for reaction to England's last warm-up fixture before the belated 2020 European Championships. It was another 1-0 win and it had plenty more in common with the Austria game as Gareth Southgate selected a side featuring mostly fringe squad players, some who won't make the final 26, but at least one who will. James Ward-Prowse will hope to take the spot vacated by Trent Alexander Arnold but Ben White could be a dark horse with Harry Maguire's fitness still a doubt. Jack Grealish has started the last two friendlies, providing dynamism and a cutting edge, and he is fancied by some to make the starting XI against Croatia. Sam Johnstone almost certainly won't feature, but he will be a reassuringly solid third choice between the sticks. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

But what really made the game another instant-classic El Tráfico was how the Galaxy fought for everything they got and absorbed almost constant pressure to secure the victory. On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter discuss the Galaxy's victory and a little thing called "heart." And while we usually shy away from talking about heart, it's something the Galaxy seem to have already figured out in this very young season.
