Game 2 and things are a bit problematic; Kris, Jez and Phil look back over a 1-1 draw with Hungary, and the build-up to the key final game on Wednesday against Portugal. Also, Germany's bounce-back against the title-holders, and the sad loss of a legend of social media. Shortly after the game, it was announced that Philippe Vignolo - @Philousports on Twitter - had died of a heart attack. It's a measure of his 'petite notorieté' (his words) that this was announced mid-match by Omar da Fonseca on live TV, various France players paid homage to him just hours after they had got off the pitch, and the French press, sporting and not, have published tributes. Au revoir, Philou. Tu nous manques déjà...

Jimbo is joined by Daniel Storey, Dom Fifield and Tom Williams, as the first major silverware of the season in England is dished out. Manchester City win the Carabao Cup for the 4th year in a row in an incredibly one-sided but narrow win. Would Mourinho have been brave enough to take off Harry Kane? And did Spurs ruin their chances of winning this final by ditching their former manager? It’s a big weekend in the race for Champions League football. How long will it take to fix Liverpool? And do they need a break from each other? Can Arsenal fans trust the process? Can Everton still make the top 4? Would West Ham settle for 6th? Wolves are blown away by bullies Burnley. Is it time for Nuno to go? Plus Tom’s right to reply, the trouble with slow motion and Leeds becoming normal. Vicky and Darren are joined by Clinton Morisson to reflect on a frenetic week in football with the rise and fall of the European Super League in the space of a week and also look at why English football has taken the stand to come off social media and the impact that will have on tackling online abuse. They also look ahead to the Carabao Cup Final where Ryan Mason will lead his boyhood Spurs out against Man City as they look to win their first trophy for more than a decade. Last Wednesday the 12 hosting cities at this summer's rescheduled European Championships had to supply UEFA with information on how many fans they intend to let into their stadiums for the tournament. Four of those cities Bilbao, Dublin, Munich and Rome have not been able to make guarantees so could they be stripped of their right to host games? And if so could the UK host additional games? There's information on potential travel to host cities and ticketing information that could be particularly important for Welsh fans ahead of potential trips to Baku in Azerbaijan. Plus, the Podcast begins with thoughts on social media blackouts and Suj wants Jesse Lingard in England's squad but doesn't know who he would leave out in his place. ____________________________________________ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/planetfpl Web: www.planetfpl.com Twitter: @PlanetFPLPod (James) / @sujanshah (Suj) Facebook: www.facebook.com/PlanetFPL Instagram: @planetfpl You Tube: www.youtube.com/planetfpl Learn more about your ad choices. A lads’ trip to Budapest looks to have done the trick for Liverpool’s knackered squad, as they swept aside RB Leipzig and a peculiarly underdressed Julian Nagelsmann last night. Kate, Luke and Pete are here to settle back into that comfy armchair on today’s episode of the Ramble - join us! We also marvel at the imperious Kylian Mbappé, whose classy hat-trick left the Barcelona defence berating each other and Ronald Koeman scratching his weary head. We also wonder how social media companies can dutifully protect footballers after James McClean’s recent comments and look into Norwich City’s latest purchase: the SoccerBot360. It’s basically Fifa ’98 on a fence.
