Fragrant encounters, 90s icons and fax machines

It’s an eclectic line-up for this episode of the Totally Football Show, with AC Jimbo joined in the pod by James Horncastle, Michael Cox, football finance expert Dr Tom Markham and former Monaco sporting director, Tor-Kristian Karlsen. We begin by wrapping up the events of the international break, with World Cup joy for Denmark, Sweden, Australia and Peru, tears for Ireland and Italy, and - perhaps most shockingly of all - signs of life from England in their two (goalless) glamour friendlies. After that post mortem, we turn our attention to the return of the Premier League, where the North London derby takes centre stage this weekend, hotly followed by the first meeting in a decade for José Mourinho and Rafa Benitez, and, just as excitingly, David Moyes’ debut in the West Ham dugout.Plus: a big Serie A preview; the World Crap; and a requiem for the fax machine.LIVE EVENT NEWS: • Just a fortnight to go until our London live show on Wednesday 29 November, and not that many tickets left, either. West Ham: Ragnorak

West Ham kindly sacked Slaven Bilic before we recorded this time around enabling us to go to town on the Hammers, including Andy Carroll’s fairly robust advice for the fans. Elsewhere there's time for more handshake drama, the joy of bendy headers courtesy of Mr Morata, and Everton and Watford's game of the season contender which also provided something for Unsy to be happy about. On top of that we learn about Graeme Souness’ small box, enjoy some cupsets and marvel at the evergreen, evermassive everPeter Crouch. Get him on some sort of plane. Under the fingernails of football

Joe Hart is despondent, and we mean really despondent, after West Ham conceded a 97th minute equaliser to Big Roy and his boys. Basically everyone is fuming with professional-headerer Michail Antonio but not us! Not us, no! We are delighted for the drama here at Ramble HQ. Elsewhere, for obvious reasons (mostly physical) it's not easy to cast David Unsworth aside but Claude Puel and his Leicester team managed it in some style on Sunday and so the boys ruminate on what that may mean for Everton this season as the Toffees lurch from one crisis to another. And as if Marcus would ever let an England triumph slip under the radar - he's cock-a-hoop about those U17s doing a demolition job on, well let's face it, the entire world really and thinks it bodes well for the summer. Of course he does. Stay tuned for a Going for Glold controversy as well. Blimey, it's all happening here this week... The Football Ramble, the original and best football podcast. Koeman and Everton consciously uncouple - is Bilic next for the chop?

On today’s Totally Football Show, AC Jimbo is joined by Michael Cox, Leroy Rosenior and comedian Matt Forde to look back on what could prove to be a pivotal weekend in the Premier League.Arsenal’s 5-2 demolition of Everton turned out to be the final straw as the Toffees finally dispensed with the services of Ronald Koeman. Elsewhere, Dejan Lovren and Victor Lindelof put on two of the worst defensive displays, like, *ever* as Tottenham hammered Liverpool 4-1 and Huddersfield shocked Manchester United. Meanwhile, West Ham and Stoke sunk further into relegation trouble. Also on our agenda: Mezut Özil’s eyes; Boufal’s worldy; and the reinvention of Tom Cleverley.LIVE EVENT NEWS: • The Totally Football Totally Live Totally World Tour kicks off in Birmingham next month. GUEST: Jeff Borzello, ESPN Insider for College Basketball and Chelsea fan. Follow him at @JeffBorzello on Twitter! Part 1: West Ham United Review Chelsea 2-1 West Ham United, Premier League Monday, March 6th | London Stadium Fabregas was selected again over Matic, but this time the opponents weren't sloppy in possession and tight defensively. Instead, Fabregas had to unlock a physical side with lots of engergy. Up top Pedro has cemented a starting spot as his own and he delivered another assist today, absolutely playing the pass of the match to set up Hazard and the opening goal. This is the stuff of champions and we need to respect it! Man of the Match? N'Golo Kante, duh. Part 2: Social Media Questions What's wrong with Matic? Is this team the most adaptive ever? How terrible is the London Stadium? Will Conte stick to counter-attacking or try to kill teams off? And more! Part 3: Manchester United Preview Chelsea vs. Manchester United, Premier League Monday, March 13th | Stamford Bridge No Zlatan, no problem? Both teams have scored plenty of goals in the competition, but Mourinho's men play the week before in Europa League. Will Conte continue to rotate players or start to stick to his preferred Premier League lineup? What EFL Cup? Chelsea are 10 points clear in the Premier League table! #CHESWA

London is Blue is a soccer fancast created by Chelsea FC fans from America and covers all things Chelsea. Hosts are @BBBusbee, @DanDormer and @NickVerlaney. London is Blue is proud to be presented by WorldSoccerShop. Visit them at www.WorldSoccerShop.com to find the best Chelsea FC gear! GUEST: Joe Tweeds, @JoeTweedie Part 1: Swansea City Review Chelsea 3-1 Swansea City, Premier League Saturday, February 25th | Stamford Bridge The big headlines from this match were Cesc Fabregas starting alongside N'Golo Kante, Pedro continuing his run of fine form, and Diego Costa finishes off a great move started by Eden Hazard. We tackle the Fabregas vs. Matic debate and question why Chelsea fans are so bitter after a 3-1 win? Are fans disillusioned with FIFA scores these days and forget that the Premier League is the best league in the world? We wrap up with our Man of the Match poll and the Top 6 standings in the table. Part 2: Social Media Questions Questions from social media include Pedro versus Willian, is Cesc playing like Lampard, why is John Terry learning Portuguese, and what would our starting eleven players be if we could only choose 3 senior team players? Part 3: West Ham United Preview Chelsea at West Ham United, Premier League Monday, March 6th | London Stadium As we preview Chelsea’s match against West Ham United, we look at recent results against Watford, West Brom, Southampton, Manchester City, and Middlesbrough. Bilic Seems to be barely hanging onto his job and some key matchups to watch will be Hazard/Pedro versus their outside backs, Luiz versus Carroll if he’s healthy, and even Kante versus Lanzini. The Hammers aren’t in great form so this is another chance for Chelsea to extend their lead. The big lineup question will of course be whether or not Cesc Fabregas starts again… KTBFFH Contact Us Twitter: https://twitter.com/LondonBluePod Instagram: https://instagram.com/LondonBluePod Facebook: https://facebook.com/LondonBluePod Website: http://londonisbluepodcast.com iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/london-is-blue-chelsea-fc/ This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/londonbluepod/support Learn more about your ad choices.
