Marcus and Vish check in after Chelsea finally get a decent league win, with Trevoh Chalobah’s classy return to the Bridge proving very timely - even if Noni Madueke nicked his goal from inside a yard out. Poor, that. They wonder if this represents a return to form for the Blues or if there’s still a bit of the basket case about them. Plus, Wolves’ insistence on just doing the fun stuff could prove fatal as their collection of spicy ballplayers can’t seem to play it safe. An Oasis of joy for Erling Haaland Captainers and Triple Captainers as the big man took home the match ball on Saturday and he wasn't the only hat-trick scorer this weekend as Noni Madueke also hit a treble - all assisted by cold Cole Palmer - as The Blues scored six at Wolves. Suj and James review all the weekend games from Gameweek 2 which saw a continuation of clean sheets which even remarkably featured Tottenham and West Ham keeping the door locked. But it was cleans for Arsenal and Liverpool that helped a Haaland-less James survive the week. There's insight into some of the weekend tactics including Tottenham's very offensive setup, Newcastle concern and why Kevin De Bruyne needs close monitoring. And now James in on Wildcard, with thoughts given on the players under consideration, while Suj has some issues to deal with, such as Christopher Nkunku and Lewis Hall, but he might not panic. Or he might. Some Might Say. Who predicted Chelsea vs Wolves would be the barn barner of the weekend? Marcus, Andy, Vish and Pete revel in what turned out to be a very enjoyable trip to Wolverhampton for Noni Madueke. Elsewhere, Marcus comes to the realisation that Enzo Maresca could be the right man for Chelsea and Erik ten Hag is embarrassed by some seagulls in Brighton. Jimbo is joined in the studio by Tim Spiers, Matt Davies-Adams and Colin Millar after some extraordinary Premier League action. Enzo Maresca secures his first win in the Premier League as Chelsea beat Wolves 6-2 at Molineux. Noni Madueke scores a hat-trick after an accidental post about the city of Wolverhampton. Liam Twomey reviews a remarkable day. Arsenal are 2-0 winners at Villa but does the result say more about Arteta’s men or Emery’s side? And Brighton are victorious as Man United lose in stoppage time again. Everton remain bottom of the Premier League after a 4-0 thrashing at Spurs. Matt Jones from The Blue Room tells us why Toffees fans shouldn’t be panicking just yet. Plus advertising hoardings and the underrated Andy Cole. Produced by Charlie Jones. Festive football has almost drawn to a close and the highlight is most definitely Noni Madueke calling friend of the Ramble Jules Breach “bro”. Marcus, Andy, Jim and Vish react to that and share their displeasure that Liverpool vs Newcastle didn’t end 4-3. Just for old times’ sake. Elsewhere, Marcus makes his case for why Arsenal need a Tom Cairney in midfield and Vish explains why he isn’t surprised a goalkeeper scored a worldie for Arbroath. Plus, we hear the new Roy Hodgson “let’s not take the piss here” extended cut! **Please note that only UK listeners are eligible to enter our Toshiba competition!** Follow us on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, and email us here: [email protected].
