Liquified in a Toxic Waste Accident

After a comprehensive 3-0 win over Liverpool, David Mooney is joined by Manchester City fans Richard Burns and KC to discuss the performance and the talking points from the game. A lot has been made of the disallowed goal, so they pick through the details of that, plus they look at excellent performances from Jeremy Doku, Bernardo Silva, and Nico Gonzalez (among others).Nico's goal might be considered the first City have scored in the Premier League this season from a set piece, but even if it is City's numbers from dead balls around the box are pretty poor. We try to work out why, with the help of journalists Sam Lee and Matt Hobbs, plus former City centre-back Nedum Onuoha.Sunday's game marked Pep Guardiola's 1000th as a manager, too. To celebrate that achievement, we're going back to the first ever time he was in the dugout as a head coach - with The Athletic's Pol Ballus giving us the details of his first match in charge of Barcelona B and discussing how that has shaped his career to this point.==========To get more podcasts or to listen without the ads, join our Patreon. The fine line between ‘it’s so over’ and ‘we’re so back’

It was a rollercoaster weekend in the Premier League, with many clubs being thrown from joy one minute to despair the next. Musa and Ryan focus on Manchester City’s 3-0 over Liverpool (03:30), which saw another goal for Erling Haaland and arguably Jeremy Doku’s best performance in a City shirt so far. For Liverpool, it was another day to forget and there’s yet more to ponder for Arne Slot during this men's international break. Sunderland did what no side has done this season, by scoring two against Arsenal at the Stadium of Light (21:38), there was late drama at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium and more great wins for Villa, West Ham, Brentford and Everton. There's also chat about Pep Guardiola, after he reached 1000 games as a manager this weekend. All the non-Premier League stuff will be on the midweek show, up Wednesday for members, and for any London listeners, don't forget to get tickets for our first live show at the Southbank Centre here.
