Jimbo’s got James Horncastle with him in the studio and Seb Stafford-Bloor, Pol Ballús and Julien Laurens in far flung corners of Germany and Spain for your weekly round up of European footballing fun. There’s only one place to start - and that’s with events at the Santiago Bernabéu on Sunday afternoon as Real put an end to Barca’s recent Clásico dominance in typically tempestuous and dramatic fashion. Over in Italy, it was eight games without a win too many for Igor Tudor - dismissed by Juventus after their 1-0 defeat at Lazio. Meanwhile, Napoli went back top but lost KDB in bizarre circumstances - and back-flipping Jamie Vardy opened his Cremonese account! In a shock twist of fate Harry Kane *didn’t* score for Bayern Munich this weekend, but it didn’t matter as they made it 13 wins from 13 games in all competitions in their 3-0 victory at Gladbach. Closest challengers Leipzig continued their sensational form as they put six past Augsburg. And in Ligue 1, PSG are back on top thanks to their 3-0 win at Brest - taking full advantage of the defeat handed out to Marseille by high-flying Lens who are now up to second in the table! All that plus - cancelled holidays in Miami, unsightly gestures and plenty of ill-tempered confrontations. Produced by Lucy Oliva. RUNNING ORDER: • PART 1: Moments of the weekend - and top-secret snails… (00.45) • PART 2: La Liga Review - Jude stars as Yamal starts arguments (10.30) • PART 3: Ligue 1 review - PSG back on top as Lyon continue to surprise (24.35) • PART 4: Serie A review - Tudor no more as Napoli return to winning ways (30.45) • PART 5: Bundesliga review - Leipzig on fire and Karl only scores bangers (48.10) Hosted on Acast. Jude Bellingham steals the show as Real Madrid beat Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabéu to move five points clear at the top of La Liga. But did Lamine Yamal’s pre-match comments come back to haunt him after a quiet performance on the big stage? Gary and Alex also break down Vinícius Jr.’s antics as he walked down the tunnel following his substitution by Xabi Alonso. Can players be forgiven for that kind of reaction in a game of this magnitude? Join The Players Lounge: The official fantasy football club of The Rest Is Football. A good week to have a bad week? Probably. But for FPL managers who started any of Joe Rodon, Bryan Mbeumo or 23 point scoring Micky Van De Ven it was probably a good week. Suj and James even managed to sell one of the few other popular players who hit a double digit return, in Pedro Porro, who assisted one of Van De Ven's two in Tottenham's 3-0 win at Everton. But was the win as good as the scoreline suggests? All the games reviewed as the three promoted clubs all won, struggling West and Wolves were two of those on the wrong end of those results, while Chelsea were surprisingly beaten by high flying Sunderland at Stamford Bridge. Liverpool lost again, this time at Brentford, and Manchester City were beaten too at Aston Villa, whilst Arsenal extended their lead with victory over Crystal Palace. Eagles assets will be popular this week, as will again Arsenal players, and Mbeumo will also be popular having scored twice in Manchester United's victory against Brighton which means they've now won three in a row.
