Today we are joined by Lauryn Hutchinson who is a defender on the Trinidad & Tobago Women's National Team. T&T has huge World Cup Qualifiers coming up and are severely under-resourced. Lauryn had a video we saw online asking for some support so that her teammates can get some help in preparing for their matches. Federations not supporting their female players is a thing that is all too common so we try to make sense of the senseless with Lauryn. Segment 1: Why does everyone hate Michael Bradley? & Why is Matt Miazga a mean giant? Last year's playoff series with Seattle Sounders was a massive letdown for Vancouver Whitecaps supporters. The team's performance over the two legs was simply not good enough, and the lack of attacking desire in the home leg in particular was a major disappointment. The two teams meet at BC Place this weekend for the first time since that match, and for the second time this season. When the sides clashed in Seattle in July, the 'Caps kickstarted an eight-match unbeaten streak for the Sounders. If they want to keep their playoff hopes alive, they need to end it on Saturday. This time they have to attack and they have to win. It already feels all or nothing. Joe and Nick look ahead to the match in this week's preview podcast? How will the 'Caps replace the suspended Yordy Reyna? Can they stifle the Sounders midfield? And how are the Whitecaps playoff percentage chances akin to Donald Trump?! All that chat and more! There's a lot on the line and this week Joe has actually finally found a game that Nick does well at! Can you? Have a listen and find out!

The Premier League is back after the new-look international break and we’re all fascinated to see if it will be enough to wake up sleepy Harry Kane. On top of all this there is the welcome and hopefully permanent return to international football for George Weah, a retrospective on the work of the band 5ive and, as ever, some Donaldson gripes. Michael Owen crashed on to the scene in May 1997 in a Premier League game for Liverpool against Wimbledon, and marked it with a goal. Obviously. From then on his career was a whirlwind that involved setting international tournaments alight, a move abroad to the biggest club in the world, injuries, and goals. Lots and lots of goals. Marcus caught up with Michael for this latest edition of Ramble Meets... to discuss his career, what it takes to get to the very top, a certain night in St Etienne in the summer of 1998, and how he views his time at Real Madrid. If anything it isn’t complicated enough. We talk about England’s renewed spirit, double agents in the Bundesliga and the need for legs, while we also enjoy the musings of Robert Earnshaw and flood the show with Pompey mentions.
