Vinicius Jr.'s months-long injury absence in Real Madrid

During the World cup Qualifiers break, injuries can come off. The crash can remake the line of a season for clubs, and one squad that has cases to fear are Real Madrid because of Vinicius Junior. After stranding Brazil's 2- 1 defeat to Colombia with an injury, additional testing has refereed that the winger has a torn muscle in his thigh. This is an injury that could sideline him for over to three months but will clearly close his involvement for Los Blancos and Brazil for the remains of 2023. With quite the title race underway in La Liga between Girona, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, this is a seismic change to effects as now Madrid will have to manage without ViniJr. just as he was rounding into form for the squad. With six goals and three assists in simply 973 minutes this season, the Brazillian has been electric when on the playground and Los Blancos could be in complication without him for an long period of time. Who could be his replacement? While the only reply is no one, the attacking side has to indicate to someone, and that someone is 20- year-old Jude Bellingham. Nursing a shoulder injury, the Englishman is enjoying one of the sporty debut seasons in Real Madrid history with 13 goals and three assists in all tournaments, but awaiting him to observe this pace would overlook holding for Carlo Ancelotti's men. Bellingham's 13 goals possess come from an awaited goals total of only6.61 in all tournaments and while good strikers can constantly outperform their xG. Still, that is where concern starts to make for Madrid, If Bellingham does decelerate down. Rodrygo is also rounding into form but he is not as effective coming to Joselu as he's coming to Vini.Jr. leading the line. Space and shot selection keeps defenses honest for Rodrygo to do the changeable. Looking at ViniJr.'s shot chart, he takes advised shots in good positions rather of just peppering a keeper from outside the box. Joselu has been a fine finisher but being further of an in- the- box sportsman, he does not bring that position of trouble to keep a defense honest, meaning there will be less space for his teammates. In utmost matches, Real Madrid will still have enough quality to contend but to win the title, they'll have to knock off top six sides which is when they begin to run into issues. How numerous injuries are too numerous? While a squad of Real Madrid's quality are anticipated to contend at the loftiest position indeed with injuries, a look is demanded at their current injury list. Alongiside ViniJr., Thibaut Courtois, Eder Militao, Aurelien Tchouameni, Dani Ceballos, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Arda Guler and Eduardo Camavinga are all sidelined. utmost brigades would struggle with just a many of these guys sidelined but Real Madrid have been suitable to contend with them missing time. It does feel like ViniJr.'s injury is one too numerous for Los Blancos, but let's take a look at their stats with and without the Brazillian in the XI. Looking forward One positive is having formerly cruised through group stage play in Champions League, only La Liga play really matters to Real Madrid for now. Facing Cadiz, Granada, Real Betis, Villarreal and Alaves in their coming five matches, they're ones that Real Madrid should win but these are also clubs that have troubled Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, so they also can not be taken smoothly. The protective worries are where it can get tough as if Real Madrid concede an early thing, it'll be indeed more delicate to come back from it without the Brazilian. Nott facing a true title contender until February in the Madrid derby vs Atletico, if a significant injury was going to be to a member of the team, now is the stylish time for it to be, but the loss of ViniJr. alongside the successes that Ancelotti and Madrid have formerly taken could prove to be too important int he long run.

Super Sunday | Gunners' title hopes in tatters by brilliant Brighton | Keane: 'Arsenal looked physically and mentally shot'

Kelly Cates presents Super Sunday alongside Patrick Vieira, Roy Keane and Micah Richards who witnessed Arsenal lose 3-0 against Europe-chasing Brighton at the Emirates. The result effectively leaves Arsenal’s hopes of winning the Premier League title in tatters after Manchester City won at Goodison Park earlier in the day. Patrick Vieira said no one expected the Gunners to challenge for the title this season but they will learn a lot from this campaign. Keane felt the home side looked physically and mentally shot, whilst Richards believes they have fallen short due to the lack of their strength and depth in the squad compared to Manchester City. There is also reaction from both dressing rooms including Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard who admitted that the title feels gone. A deflated Mikel Arteta also gives his post-match thoughts and said that until it is mathematically out of their reach, they will continue to push Manchester City. Roberto De Zerbi also speaks pitch side and said he was so proud of his players to produce a performance like they did.
