Dave Jones presents Super Sunday alongside Jamie Redknapp and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink who watched Newcastle beat Wolves 2-1 at St. James’ Park to boost their hopes of a top-four finish after substitute Miguel Almiron scored the winner late on. There was a controversial moment early in the first half when Newcastle’s Nick Pope avoided giving away a penalty which would have also seen him receive a red card. Hasselbaink said the goalkeeper was ‘extremely lucky’ to get away with the decision and did not understand why VAR did not intervene. There is also reaction from Newcastle captain Kieran Trippier and man of the match Alexander Isak. Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui also gives his post-match thoughts as well as Eddie Howe who hopes the win re-ignites their push for a European place at the end of the season.
