James is joined by Manchester City fan Jonny Pringle and Brentford fan Tom Medd to discuss the latest at their clubs and some very important FPL assets ahead of the club's meeting at The Etihad in Gameweek 4. Erling Haaland looks back to his very best and off the back of two consecutive hat-tricks, there's reflection on if we carried problems through last season and whether he will be the FPL captaincy choice of preference over forthcoming weeks. Kevin De Bruyne is undertaking a new role and also looking back to his best, with Phil Foden absent recently there's focus on him and other Manchester City assets, including the mid price midfielders and the prospects of defensive assets Rico Lewis and Josko Gavrdiol for FPL managers. And Brentford assets should appeal too, they have an amazing fixture run after the trip to City and the likes of Mark Flekken, Sepp Van Den Berg, Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa are all subject to scrutiny for FPL managers Tomorrow on Planet FPL: The Clayton & James Show ep.4 Today on Patreon: UCL Fantasy Fixture Analysis & Away Days For the full Planet FPL schedule this week, including our offering on Patreon view this post: https://www.patreon.com/posts/schedule-2nd-6th-111255735 Want to become a member of our FPL community and support the Podcast? An Oasis of joy for Erling Haaland Captainers and Triple Captainers as the big man took home the match ball on Saturday and he wasn't the only hat-trick scorer this weekend as Noni Madueke also hit a treble - all assisted by cold Cole Palmer - as The Blues scored six at Wolves. Suj and James review all the weekend games from Gameweek 2 which saw a continuation of clean sheets which even remarkably featured Tottenham and West Ham keeping the door locked. But it was cleans for Arsenal and Liverpool that helped a Haaland-less James survive the week. There's insight into some of the weekend tactics including Tottenham's very offensive setup, Newcastle concern and why Kevin De Bruyne needs close monitoring. And now James in on Wildcard, with thoughts given on the players under consideration, while Suj has some issues to deal with, such as Christopher Nkunku and Lewis Hall, but he might not panic. Or he might. Some Might Say. Jonny Pringle joins James to discuss all things Manchester City and their FPL assets as they bid for a fifth successive Premier League title. But there's a growing number of neutrals who think this might not be their season. Obviously Erling Haaland is covered, Jonny's initial reaction to the 15.0 price was to consider going without, but following the weekend pre-season hat-trick against GW1 opponents Chelsea how does he feel now? There's debate on Kevin De Bruyne versus Phil Foden at 9.5, the exciting emergence of 5.0 Oscar Bobb and his likely minutes, whether Josko Gvardiol is an auto pick at 6.0 and if there are preferences or desires across the players priced at 5.5 in defence and 6.5 midfield. Plus, will the departing Julian Alvarez be replaced, if Ederson is expected to stay and if City may remain surprisingly quiet during this transfer window despite some feeling a refresh is required.
