Suj and James review another dramatic weekend of football in the Premier League that included a brilliant encounter at St James's Park as Chelsea earned a hard earned point from two down, Liverpool just about getting over the line against 9 man Tottenham, Arsenal staying top for Christmas after victory at Everton, Leeds scoring four against Crystal Palace and Aston Villa maintained their outstanding winning run against Manchester United. A Manchester United for whom Bruno Fernandes was replaced at half time with a hamstring problem, and for owners that's a headache they weren't preparing for. Many owners and non owners will now likely chase the in-demand Hugo Ekitike who scored again, and now looks secure for minutes following a serious looking injury to Alexander Isak. He may even be worth trusting with the armband this week But there's plenty of other assets in demand too, with discussion featuring the likes of Matheus Cunha, Declan Rice and Jarrod Bowen. And there's others who are not, such as Igor Thiago who hasn't registered a shot in Brentford's last two outings against Leeds and hapless Wolves. Plus, coverage of defensive options, enablers, and Suj has been on tilt in FPL, Tottenham just have James fully tilted. On Clash of the Correspondents James is joined by Manchester United fan Alex Trembath and Bournemouth fan Neil Grover to discuss the latest at their clubs ahead of the Gameweek 16 Monday Night Football at Old Trafford. There's discussion on form, with United comfortable winners at Wolves on Monday but they haven't won their last two at Old Trafford and opponents Bournemouth have won 3-0 on their last two visits. But they themselves have only won two out of eleven. FPL Talismen Bruno Fernandes and Antoine Semenyo are discussed, the impact of AFCON - particularly on United, differentials such as Marcus Tavernier and Matheus Cunha, whether Patrick Dorgu and Diogo Dalot are worth consideration and whether owers of Marcos Senesi should continue to keep faith despite The Cherries conceding the second highest total of away goals this season. With that in mind, Bruno for the armband...? Rog and Rory are back to breakdown another drama-soaked Premier League weekend, including why Eberechi Eze's game winner against his former club Crystal Palace is indicative of how Arsenal have changed the game, how Liverpool's incredible league losing streak comes down to Mo Salah and Arne Slot, and why Manchester United have Matheus Cunha to thank for their recent run of form. Plus, could we see Bournemouth or Sunderland in Europe next year? And the reason why Rory thinks the Premier League has become the NFL...but with shorts. Manchester United’s first victory at Anfield since 2016 was a massive moment for the club. But how does Ruben Amorim ensure this isn’t another false dawn? It's a Planet FPL debut for new Manchester United Correspondent Alex Trembath as we reach the lafway mark of Correspondent Week and despite their worst seasons in decades there is plenty to be optimistic about for The Red Devils this season. There's discussion on new signings Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo and their FPL prospects, but is it worth a million more to pay for the security of having Bruno Fernandes? Amad Diallo shouldn't be discounted too, but what happens with United may depend much on their search for a new striker. Plus, best defensive options assessed, there's a detailed assessment of the fixtures and why even a United player for captaincy in a couple of the early fixtures shouldn't neccessarily be overlooked.
