Robbie Earle and Robbie Mustoe recap the 1st leg of the Round of 16 matches in the Champions League and Manchester United's win over Brighton.

Pep Guardiola can take his own advice after his plucky underdogs blew Sporting to smithereens over in Lisbon last night. Strange that they're still only the world's seventh best team, behind Al Ahly and Palmeiras. Marcus, Pete and Vish work that one out before revelling in more Mbappé magic and Messi mishaps. We also check in with the salty side of Manchester after their win and officially open Nashville's new stadium. We were so excited to have Alex Kao on the show. Alex has had an amazing soccer journey. He was born in Togo on Africa's West Coast and lived there until he was 9. Then he moved to France and joined the Red Star 93 academy around age 12. After that, he was recruited by Paris FC and joined their academy until it was time to make a tough decision about his career. Life led him to be recruited by a few Division 1 programs in the US and circumstance had him land in Louisburg College in North Carolina for 2 years before heading to the University of Connecticut to finish his collegiate career. From there, Alex turned pro with the Philadelphia Fury (after a stop at the DC United academy) and finally has landed back close to home with the Maryland Bobcats. Alex brings an interesting perspective to the American soccer landscape as an Academy Product of France. We chat about his personal soccer journey, his view on youth Soccer in America, what it takes to be a Professional, and more. Fun chat. Hope you enjoy it!

Despite Carlos Queiroz's miserly ways, Egypt lumber on in an AFCON beset with incidents and hot divorced dads, but not many goals. Kate, Andy and Jim also hear from potential Everton manager Vitor Pereira as part of his bizarre charm offensive, while Aaron Ramsey needs a Turin rescue mission and Ousmane Dembele's agent dazzles us with his underhand shenanigans. On this week's Planet FPL Clash of the Correspondents James is joined by Norwich fan Mark Hammond and Crystal Palace fan Migtavius to discuss all the latest at their clubs, the FPL assets within them and preview the Gameweek 24 meeting at Carrow Road. Back to back wins for Norwich have propelled them out of the relegation zone; were we all too quick to write them off as relegation certainties? There's discussion on what's now working for Dean Smith and why there are some FPL enablers from The Canaries who should be considered. Palace sit 13th, which feels disappointing considering the quality within the squad but progress is clear to see and there are some very interesting offensive Palace assets to consider in FPL including Michael Olise and Odsonne Edouard... Tanguy Ndombele is out at Tottenham. Giovani Lo Celso appears likely to follow. We look back on a number of midfielders that we've raved over before, including the two from Tottenham and Naby Keita, Adrien Rabiot, and Paul Pogba, and ask what happened with them and do we take any new conclusions from these results? The Euro crew of Jimbo, James Horncastle, Julien Laurens and Alvaro Romeo assemble after another dramatic weekend across the continent. Real Madrid, Sevilla and Atletico Madrid all come from 2-0 down to salvage something in La Liga. But can Ousmane Dembele salvage his career after Barca tell him he’s no longer welcome at Camp Nou? There’s a top of the table clash in the Netherlands as leaders PSV took on the inexplicably not leaders Ajax. Yordi Yamali has more. Lionel Messi returns for PSG but it’s Marco Verratti who turns goalscorer supreme in their 4-0 win over Reims. And why won’t Poch play the kids? Thiago Motta is earning his managerial stripes as Spezia go from strength to strength in Serie A. And Super Mario Balotelli is back with the Azzurri.
