On the first of two Clash of the Correspondents this week James welcomes Everton correspondent Sean Norton and Aston Villa correspondent Adam Hopcroft to discuss their GW34 meeting at Goodison Park. A fixture that is also likely to be repeated in GW35 which would mean a Double Gameweek for both teams. With the second Villa fixture still in hand could Everton yet make a late push for a Champions League place in the remaining Gameweeks? We discuss the switch to a back four in Friday's win at Arsenal and the FPL assets such as Lucas Digne & Dominic Calvert-Lewin who may appeal, especially with Sheffield United at home likley to follow a Double. With Villa it's easier to make an assessment of who is likely to play in the continued absence of talisman Jack Grealish but should their FPL assets appeal more than those at Everton? Can Emi Martinez again solve a Goalkeeping issue that many may have? And we discover why like it or not the two clubs can't be shaken from the minds of many FPL managers. So much football! Musa and Ryan begin in France, with Lille coming from two goals down to beat Lyon and return to the top of Ligue 1 after PSG’s win had pushed them ahead just 24 hours before (05:36). While the title is pretty much wrapped up in the Bundesliga, Mainz made Bayern wait a bit longer to confirm it (11:24), winning 2-1, and there’s a heap of praise for the job Bo Svensson is doing, plus chat about the Champions League spots with Dortmund closing the gap. In Spain, it’s chaos in Sevilla as they and Granada finish the game before returning to play one more minute, and Atleti are doing their best not to win the title (24:07). There’s also a very quick roundup of Serie A and the Premier League (36:45), plus chat about Man City’s fourth League Cup in a row (41:00) and the first legs of the Women’s Champions League semifinals (46:34). Quiet weekend, wasn't it? Kris and Phil look back over a sometimes baffling week, in which both PSGs can thank the away goals rule for their progression to the Champions League semi-finals - the men after a 1-0 loss to Bayern Munich at the Parc des Prince, the women after knocking out seven-time trophy winners Lyon with a 2-1 away win. As well as that there were a couple of five-goal thrillers featuring very late winners in Ligue 1, as Kris' Lorient succumbed to OM at the Velodrome 3-2 with a double from Pol Lirola cancelling out ditto from Terem Moffi, and PSG v Saint-Etienne being probably the most exciting last 15 minutes of the season ending in a 96th minute winner from Mauro Icardi as the hosts also won 3-2. We have a midweek Coupe de France round for the quarter-finals and an interesting weekend coming up which finishes with Lyon v Lille in a key game for the title race. Also - yes, we went there - the recently announced 'European Super League' (other super leagues are available) causes sadness, anger, confusion, and Phil talking about EU corporate law, even though no French teams are involved in it...yet.

PSG beat Bayern Munich in the first leg of the Champion's League Quarter Finals, all the top four won, we have two fourth-tier teams in the Coupe de France Quarter Finals, and it turns out the French women's team are fine without most of the OL contingent. Kris, Jez and Phil round up a week of interesting developments across multiple competitions.

Musa and Ryan are back with a Champions League podcast, but before they get into the action, they talk about competition anthems, another book for Musa, and … Snoopy (00:51). There’s a very quick summary of a few domestic games in Italy and Spain (7:11) before getting into a thriller in snowy Allianz Arena, where PSG beat Bayern 3-2 thanks to two Kylian Mbappé goals (08:43), and where Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting earned some praise. Next, they touch on Chelsea’s two lovely goals in their away win against Porto (21:09) before it’s on to Tuesday’s games, beginning with Manchester City’s victory over Borussia Dortmund (28:24), and wrapping up with Real Madrid and Liverpool (38:48). Cole, to discuss Charcoal Pitch FC's latest collaboration with Chelsea FC called "Five Boroughs" highlighting five different Black Chelsea supporters from the five boroughs of New York City. Mel also shares fascinating stories from his photography career and the interesting subjects he's photographed in the world of football and music (35:00).

We had a little international / Easter break of our own, so Kris, Jez and Phil have a lot to round up this week. France drew with Ukraine and beat Kazakhstan and Bosnia-Herzogovina in World Cup qualifying, and the U21s lost to Denmark and beat Russia and Iceland to progress to the quarter-finals of the Euros. Then we had a key set of games on Saturday in Ligue 1 as Lille beat PSG, Monaco beat Metz and Lyon drew at Lens to throw the top of the table into a spin, and elsewhere there were concussions, penalties, red cards and much more besides.
