Robbie Mustoe and Robbie Earle review the opening fixtures of the 2018-19 UEFA Champions League group stage focusing on Liverpool's 3-2 win over PSG (0:25), Tottenham's 2-1 defeat to Inter Milan (14:00), Manchester United's 3-0 win at Young Boys (24:25), Manchester City's 2-1 defeat to Lyon (29:30), Chelsea's win at PAOK (40:30) and Arsenal taking care of business against Vorskla (46:20).

Gary is joined by former Fulham and Northern Ireland manager Lawrie Sanchez to discuss his journey and experiences as both a player and a coach. Lawrie played a key in the biggest upsets in soccer history, scoring the winner against Liverpool in the 1988 FA Cup Final. He takes us through what made that culture special, how difficult it was, why some players flourished and others didn't, and what he took from it to his coaching career. This culture podcast is sponsored by Worldstrides Excel.

Robbie Mustoe and Kyle Martino join forces for the first ever 2 Robbies/That's A Dive Crossover podcast! Robbie and Kyle get into Tottenham's 3-0 victory at Old Trafford discussing what it means for Jose Mourinho (3:00), what to make of Spurs' perfect start (17:10) and how this result might shape the race for the Top-4 (27:20).

Robbie Mustoe and Robbie Earle catch up after a few weeks away and there’s a lot to talk about. Liverpool fail to lift the Champions League trophy with both Sergio Ramos and Loris Karius playing the villain (02:30), Chelsea beat Jose Mourinho's men to the FA Cup title (31:30), it might be early in the summer but the managerial shake up has begun with Unai Emery taking over at Arsenal (41:50) and finally we introduce the 3 promoted teams joining us next year in the Premier League (56:20).

England only need a standard sized jet after Gareth Southgate played it safe and named just 23 players in his World Cup squad but it’s still enough to get us excited for the summer, as are Jason Derulo, the Brazil squad and Sweden. They’ve been stocking up on Marcuses, you see. Over at Wembley Man United and Chelsea prepare for a surprise FA Cup final visit from Prince William, while Sam Allardyce and David Moyes bid farewell to their respective clubs. Does this clear the way for these forward thinking young British managers to now be given a chance? Pete remains available for stag weekend hire. Series 3 - Episode 2 - Lee Dixon In terms of value for money, there can be few more astute signings than the £375,000 George Graham paid Stoke City for Lee Dixon in January 1988. 25% of arguably the greatest 90s defence, Lee finished his Arsenal career with four league titles, three FA Cup winners medals, a UEFA Cup Winner's Cup medal and infamously a runners-up medal in the latter competition too. But it was the first of his league championship medals that intrigued us most; the night of 26th May 1989, Liverpool v Arsenal - a championship play off in the last game of the season. For a whole host of reasons, from Fever Pitch to the ramifications of the Hillsborough disaster, the 1988/89 season marked the end of football as it had largely been for 100 years. And in it's culmination, Michael Thomas' last minute winner didn't just cement the league for Arsenal, it also cemented the idea of live football as a major box office draw, with the dawn of the Premier League coming soon after. We put all of this to Lee. Plus... we speculate as to whether Sean Dyche eats worms. The FA Cup has delivered again, as just when it looked like Man City might win everything, up stepped Wigan, and then for some reason Peter Reid. Composing ourselves after this development we look ahead to the Carabao Cup Final, look back at Pete’s red carpet adventures and reflect on Nobby Solano’s choice of holiday destination. Meanwhile, on the same show, Patrice Evra Patrice Evras, Mesut Ozil gets the sniffles and we take a brief moment to remember to worry about England. This week brings wonderful drama from the FA Cup courtesy of Rochdale and their manager Keith Hill, a man who in a way is all of our dads, Carlos Carvalhal distracts from a goalless draw with some welcome Police Academy chat and in The Championship Mimin’ Mick McCarthy is gloriously tetchy after the Old Farm Derby. As well as all this precious gold there’s the novel concept of tackling above the head, some retro Portsmouth organisational slapstick and some sausage-based fun north of the border. It’s FA Cup weekend again and Marcus’ soothsmelling nose sniffs a cup upset, the Class of ’92 make some noise to check that nobody has forgotten they were really good and as usual there’s plenty of weasel chat. As we further survey the footballing land we spy on Chelsea’s transfers shenanigans, yet more woe from the Stadium of Light and, as is only correct, Neil Warnock is heavily involved. This show is sponsored by bet365 The Football Ramble, the original and best football podcast. Brand new podcasts every single weekday throughout the Premier League season and every day throughout the 2026 FIFA World Cup. No cliches. No ex-pros like Peter Crouch or The Rest is Football. Just the funniest football conversation out there. Your guardian for the season, daily not weekly. Stick to the Ramble, totally. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
