Suj and James review all the weekend GW8 games which included Mo Salah rewarding the FPL managers who were brave enough to captain him ahead of the likes of blanking Erling Haaland and Heung-Min Son. Arsenal beat City in a cagey Super Sunday with a late deflected Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka finally missed out, but it's North London rivals Tottenham who went top with victory at Luton despite Yves Bissouma's red card. Can James's team challenge for the title!? Chelsea may also be coming good and despite Raheem Sterling's haul it's another Blues player who has caught the attention of FPL managers. Plus, there's several teams for whom concern is increasing and FPL managers should look to target. There's discussion on GW9 captaincy and Suj played his Wildcard... was it successful...? Erm... Suj and James review all the football so far in Gameweek 7 which featured huge controversy, particularly at White Hart Lane with Luis Diaz having a goal disallowed which was clearly onside. James sets a 10 minute timer to explain anger at what was arguably the worst piece of refereeing in Premier League history, despite the fact victory took Tottenham up to second. The rant is followed by discussion on all the games including Villa's mauling of Brighton as Ollie Watkins scored a monster 23 points to take him top of the FPL points scoring chart ahead of Erling Haaland who blanked as Manchester City were beaten at Wolves. Plus, all the FPL assets of interest discussed as West Ham and Jarrod Bowen come into our thinking, there's injury updates, tactical thoughts and whether Heung-Min Son is deserving of the Gameweek 8 armband... Suj & James discuss the 9 games at the weekend in what was a difficult Gameweek 5 for many Fantasy managers as the majority of favoured players underwhelmed, including Tottenham players despite the dramatic late victory against Sheffield United. What's wrong with Manchester United and Chelsea? Have FPL managers got to bin the likes of Marcus Rashford, Ben Chilwell and Nicolas Jackson? Plus, there were narrow victories for Arsenal and Newcastle to discuss, rotation concerns will grow with European football starting, Villa and Liverpool players have increasing appeal and Julian Alvarez causes disagreements and it was a weekend of comebacks... On the first Gameweek Review of the season Suj & James discuss the 9 games played at the weekend and all the relevant fallout for FPL managers. But first there's discussion on the drama before deadline surrounding the Manchester City team news and the rumoured absence of Arsenal's Gabriel. There's discussion on the FPL assets that interest most now that we've seen them play, what John Stones and Gabriel owners should do, the season's first bandwagon might not be a bandwagon at all. Plus, there's tactical insight to the games watched, including discussion on Arsenal's 3-1-6, Villa's high line that got shredded at Newcastle, Chelsea's unexpected setup. And what about that Bench Boost? Was it successful for James...? And do Salah owners dare captain the Egyptian King over Erling Haaland in GW2? Suj & James review the 9 games played so far in DGW36 that featured Brighton's outstanding 3-0 victory that all but ends Arsenal's hopes of the title and for FPL managers with Pervis Estupinan there was a dream haul. Similiar will be true for those who had Ilkay Gundogan return well in Manchester City's own 3-0 victory at Everton. And those who took the Callum Wilson gamble will also be delighted after the Newcastle forward scored two penalties in a 2-2 draw at Leeds. There's discussion on the players of interest from Gameweek 37's 4 doublers, Brighton, Chelsea, and Manchester's City and United and why there's still reason to have interest for many with just a single fixture. Plus, James has a cold and suffered another bad away day at Villa Park, the Roberto De Zerbi love-in continues and randomly there's a heated debate about the transfer value of an injured Ivan Toney... Suj & James wrap up their review of Gameweek 34 with discussion on the final 4 games played this week which saw Arsenal beat a woeful Chelsea, Man City struggle for a while but then cruise to victory against West Ham, Liverpool beat Fulham and there was late drama at The Amex as Alexis MacAllister's 99th minute penalty meant Brighton beat Manchester United and it also caused some massive late swings for FPL managers. Plus, there's discussion on being prepared to make late moves tomorrow ahead of the 130pm BST GW35 Deadline with their being every possibility of some late team link information on Manchester City. Suj & James review the 9 games played in the weekend of Gameweek 31 that included Arsenal letting a 2 goal lead slip again, this time against Suj's Hammers, while Tottenham reached a new low conceded a last minute winner to Bournemouth. Much of the focus on the Podcast is on the Blank Gameweek to come and what Free Hitters may be looking to do in GW32. Is it 6 from Arsenal and Liverpool plus five more? Probably yes and James makes the case to add Villa and Newcastle assets despite Villa's dominant with over The Toon on Saturday lunchtime. Not for the first time in recent memory a big Liverpool victory against Manchester United meant it was an FPL Gameweek that none of us will forget and many Wildcarders were left flabbergasted with their returns... and that includes James. Suj & James review a weekend dominated by home teams and what is next for their FPL teams. Is James full of regret or does he feel unlucky? And Suj is still not sure what direction he will head in having not Wildcarded this week. Could Wildcard now or in GW28 be a solution to navigate what's to come? Plus insight into all the games, including tactical insight into Liverpool's 7-0 win, the GW27 doublers on our mind with focus on why Brighton are so difficult to overlook, if Erling Haaland is expendable, why on this occasion Tottenham were a little unfortunate but were outsmarted by Julien Lopetegui's switch of system in the 2nd half, Arsenal won late on again and Chelsea finally picked up a much needed 3 points... On the Gameweek 24 review, all eyes for FPL managers turn towards the rarely sighted Blank Double Gameweek of 25 as 4 teams Blank and 4 teams Double but who from the Blankers should be binned and which of the Doublers should be invested in? All the games reviewed, which included another swing in the title race, Tottenham won the Planet FPL derby, there were big 1-0 wins for Bournemouth, Everton and Southampton at the foot of the table, Fulham defied the stats to win by the same score at Fulham, Chelsea's defeat has led to many to call for Potter's dismissal, Liverpool put themselves back in contention for 4th with victory at ten man Newcastle and Marcus Rashford rewarded those who captained him ahead of Erling Haaland. Plus, why thinking beyond GW25 can influence transfer decisions for this coming gameweek, why there's likely to be big Liverpool gambles, expected minutes for enablers this week and why for James selling one of his premium forwards need to be considered... On the Gameweek 23 review Suj & James discuss all the key moments from the weekend which included a weekend of controversial refereeing decisions and lots of new information for FPL managers to consider... There's thoughts on Guardiola's tactical set up yesterday, Toney's dominant display at Arsenal, the almost inevitable Saints sacking of Nathan Jones after the defeat to 10 man Wolves and James' positive mood on Tottenham has evaporated quite weekly after the humbling at Leicester and a growing injury list. Plus, maneuvering GW25 and why it just became a lot more difficult to sell many blankers, especially those from Brentford and Brighton who now have GW27 doubles. On the Gameweek 21 review Podcast Suj & James cover the 9 Premier League games played at the weekend and the fallout from them ahead of what will probably be Double Gameweek 22 but might not be. Erling Haaland punished those who didn't captain him with another home hat-trick but Arsenal responded to City's win with a dramatic victory against Manchester United and with their own double gameweek in 23 to come there's detail on favoured Arsenal and City assets. United and Leeds assets receive coverage ahead of their potential 22 double and Marcus Rashford Triple Captain is very much under consideration for James. Suj & James review all the Gameweek 20 Premier League games from the weekend and it was a tough weekend for many including James, who had an even tougher Sunday to endure at White Hart Lane. And Suj is no happier with the state of West Ham after defeat at Wolves saw them drop into the bottom 3. Brighton assets are on mind for FPL managers after an outstanding display against lacklustre Liverpool but investment comes with a warning, Man Utd controversially won the other big Derby this weekend and the pain continued for Everton after another home defeat to Southampton. Plus, there are differentials beginning to show promise, particularly in the midfield area and there's a warning that although Gameweek 22 could still be a double there might not be an announcement this week, and that is one of a number of reasons why after a week where many took hits this coming gameweek could be a good one to roll a transfer... Suj & James review all the Gameweek 10 weekend football and there's plenty to discuss as Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka returned big in Sunday's win against Liverpool, Harry Kane helped Tottenham claim the points at Brighton, West Ham won but not without controversy, why Leeds faded at Palace after a bright opening. Plus, there was another 4 goal haul for City and Phil Foden is in top form, Chelsea rotated heavily but still won. There's thoughts on FPL assets of interest, key pointers for upcoming weeks including Gameweek 12 planning, why rolling a transfer will look like a sensible play for many this coming Gameweek and the Podcast begins with why Suj decided to activate his Wildcard ahead of schedule before the Gameweek 10 deadline... And who was caught thinking "It Wasn't Me"... Suj & James review all the weekend games from Gameweek 3 in the Premier League and the fallout and impact on FPL. Early discussion focuses on James making an admittance about No Salah due to the form, or rather concerns around Heung-Min Son and why Thursday's Champions League draw could hold the key to several decisions for FPL managers in the coming weeks. Plus, Iavn Perisic is brilliant, Brendan Rodgers reign at Leicester feels like it's coming to an inevitable conclusion, Newcastle and Man City's 3-3 draw thrilled, Leeds pressed Chelsea into submission and Arsenal hold the only 100% record in the league after winning at Bournemouth, but for Suj's West Ham it's no points and no goals scored... Suj & James review an eventful Gameweek 2 that was packed with drama and with many FPL assets performing well including Gabriel Jesus who hauled against Leicester, could the Arsenal attacker now be the best captain choice in Gameweek 3? All the games reviewed, as Lucas Digne reached 'God like' FPL status (for the wrong reasons!), Man City demolished Bournemouth but there was only an assist for Erling Haaland. Plus, James goes to town on how bad Manchester United were in Saturday's defeat at Brentford, Suj laments West Ham's defeat at Nottingham Forest and all the reaction to Chelsea and Tottenham's Battle Of The Bridge Part 2... Suj & James review an incredible Gameweek 36 midweek that saw huge swings in scores for FPL managers as Salah was benched again, KDB went nuts and Bench Boosters generally did well because of Cycling Goalkeeper Ben Foster. There's discussion on dealing with the bad beats that the large variance in scores may have suffered this week and why FPL management is getting harder year on year. All the 6 midweek games reviewed including concern for Leeds, understanding Liverpool's selections, Tottenham's emphatic North London Derby win (Yes!) and thoughts on the best selection of premium and double gameweek players for the final double in 37... Suj and James review the football from Blank Gameweek 30 with many template players missing out and even some that did start, (cough, cough, Raul Jimenez) frustrated many FPL managers. Was the weekend a success for FPL managers who deployed the Free Hit? There was certainly some good scores among Free Hitters but also some fortune from the popular returnees too. The 4 weekend games get the usual Monday overview and it includes extended discussion on Planet FPL derby success for James as Tottenham beat Suj's West Ham yesterday. James also outlines what Gameweeks 34 to 37 are likely to look like once games are rearranged, including which two teams could face back to back doubles and the complication around Chelsea's schedule. Plus why those intending to Free Hit in Gameweek 33 will be faced with difficult risk v reward decisions to make... Suj & James review all the weekend football from Gameweek 25 as Manchester United FPL assets flopped again but it was good news for those on Brighton defensive assets as returns for popular players were again hard to find. There's also further discussion about fixtures that could be added to Gameweeks 28 & 29, the doublers who will interest FPL managers ahead of deadline, plus the big debate ahead of Double Gameweek 26 with the case for and against using the Triple Captain chip on Mo Salah... Suj and James review a Gameweek 23 that finally saw all Premier League games go ahead but also proved to be a dsiaster for many FPL managers. Why oh why did we invest in Watford players? That's the question many will be asking themselves after their hammering at the hands of relegation rivals Norwich. Should the likes of red carded Emmanuel Dennis be canonballed out of FPL managers teams? It might not be quite so straightforward as discussion on potential upcoming Double Gameweeks reveals. Plus, as usual all the games reviewed and there's discussion on Mo Salah's likely Gameweek 24 return, differentials gaining attention and caution is offered on selling many of the weekend's underperforming stars... It's James's Birthday today and in their review of Gameweek 16 there is more for Suj & James to celebrate following successful Wildcards and foe Suj it was a particularly high scoring Gameweek. On the show, Wildcard choices reviwed penalties everywhere, covid postponement concerns, Dennis v King takes a twist, why De Bruyne may no longer be first choice for City, concerns continue over a Chelsea weakness, why Newcastle have got to change to avoid an Anfield massacre, fortuitous United, Antonio's concerning form and there could be more to come from Conor Gallagher... On this weeks feature Planet #FPL Podcast Suj & James review all the Gameweek 34 action including Bale's stunning hat-trick in a week where points for FPL managers were hard to find. One major factor was the postponement of the Manchester United v Liverpool fixture and the Podcast begins with a discussion about Sunday's events at Old Trafford, why the protests won't stop and what the impact may be for FPL. Could it mean a Double Gameweek for Liverpool now in GW35? In the first of two Podcasts reviewing all the Double Gameweek 26 action Suj & James discuss their FPL weekeneds & the big talking points from the 9 games plahyed so far in FPL's biggest ever Gameweek! Disappointment for many Bench Boosters as Leeds were beaten by Villa but it's also been an underwhelming start for many Triple Captainers too with only Harry Kane from the popular selections returning and his 6 point return could well have been more. But the Tottenham forward was outshone on the day by Heung-Min Son & a starring performance from Gareth Bale. Bale is discussed heavily and there's caution stressed as well as praise delivered. Plus, why Arsenal got their tactics spot on at Leicester, why Man Utd's big games aren't producing goals, West Ham's unfortunate defeat at Man City & important points on those battling the drop all covered as eyes focus towards the Blank weekend of Gameweek 29. ______________________________________________ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/planetfpl Web: www.planetfpl.com Twitter: @PlanetFPLPod (James) / @sujanshah (Suj) Facebook: www.facebook.com/PlanetFPL Instagram: @planetfpl You Tube: www.youtube.com/planetfpl Learn more about your ad choices. It's been a good week for both but now they need to add more Man City to their squads, what are their plans and can James talk Suj out of a shock use of the 2nd wildcard? Plus, the exciting differential at Everton, why Villa continue to interest and consciousness of potential upcoming Double Gameweeks... _____________________________________________ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/planetfpl Web: www.planetfpl.com Twitter: @PlanetFPLPod (James) / @sujanshah (Suj) Facebook: www.facebook.com/PlanetFPL Instagram: @planetfpl You Tube: www.youtube.com/planetfpl Learn more about your ad choices. Suj & James review all the GW13 action that including Bruno blanking, KDB underwhelming and Liverpool beat Tottenham to go back top. All 20 clubs are assessed as usual and with the Blank Gameweek 18 and Double Gameweek 19 fixtures now known planning ahead is particular important for FPL managers and this is reflected in the Podcast analysis. Plus, Arsenal get a point at home at last, Wolves down Chelsea, Leeds hit five, why short-term thinking may be important for some FPL managers, why Trent Alexander-Arnold is no Darth Vader, Tree Surgeons & plenty more... _____________________________________________ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/planetfpl Web: www.planetfpl.com Twitter: @PlanetFPLPod (James) / @sujanshah (Suj) Facebook: www.facebook.com/PlanetFPL Instagram: @planetfpl You Tube: www.youtube.com/planetfpl Learn more about your ad choices.
