Thiaw For Now | Planet FPL S. 9 Ep. 25 | GW13 Review | Fantasy Premier League

Suj and James discuss another eventful weekend in the Premier League, where there was largely success for Free Hitters (including Suj) but disappointment for Erling Haaland Triple Captainers, and James' Wildcard also went okay. But what's perhaps more important is what's next and a big theme around Suj and James' discussion is who might get rotated during a midweek where the spacing of games is particularly bad for Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. The two London sides drew in Sunday's big game whilst Liverpool finally won and kept a clean sheet with Alexadner Isak on the scoresheet, but Mo Salah was an unused substitute. A rest presumably...? There's reflection on the Villa, Brentford and Manchester City assets that largely delivered well for Free Hitters, Newcastle won away with Malick Thiaw - 3rd on James' bench - scoring twice, and Newcastle assets now greatly appeal, as might Manchester United assets after their victory at Crystal Palace. But it was another miserable home day for James' Tottenham. Sunderland v Arsenal | CotC with Spencer Barrowman & Adam Pritchard | Planet FPL 2025/26

On Clash of the Correspondents, James is joined by Sunderland fan Spencer Barrowman and Arsenal fan Adam Pritchard to discuss both sides brilliant start to the season, upcoming expectations and the FPL assets we should be considering from both. Will Arsenal ever concede again? They will of course but three goals conceded in 16 games this season and a run of eight in a row without being breached means talk of triple Arsenal defence is worth detailed discussion. It includes whether FPL managers should be concerned about rotation for Riccardo Calafiori and Jurrien Timber over the festive period, if David Raya should be an option and the desperation for those without Gabriel to want to get there. But Sunderland's defensive assets have performed well too. Robin Roefs is the highest scoring keeper in the game, there's discussion on Omar Alderete, Nordi Mukiele and Dan Ballard and options further up the pitch in the consistent Granit Xhaka and also Enzo Le Fee and Wilson Isidor. And should Viktor Gyokeres owners sell? Is Mikel Merino worth a short-term punt? Is Leandro Trossard going under the radar? And if Declan Rice can maintain his consistent FPL returns? Brighton v Aston Villa | CotC with Sam Murray & Lee Jackson | Planet FPL 2024/25

On Clash of the Correspondents James is joined by Brighton fan Sam Murray and Aston Villa fan Lee Jackson, with both teams still in the FA Cup, competing for a Champions League place and both could have a Double in Gameweek 33. And for Villa they have a Champions League Quarter Final which makes their FPL assets particular difficult to assess with a juicy fixture at Southampton between the games with PSG. And Brighton could well appeal then to as they host Leicester, but are they liable for rotation too. There's coverage of defensive assets from both, the likes of Yankubah Minteh, Kaoru Mitoma, Marco Asensio and Marcus Rashford, plus talismen Joao Pedro and Ollie Watkins as well as the seemingly rotation proof Morgan Rogers. And three's coverage of goals for the rest of the season, the importance of the FA Cup, form, fixtures and more. December Rotation Concerns | The People's Poll ep. 155 | Planet FPL 2024/25

Suj joins James to discuss rotation concerns for the upcoming festive period with particular focus on spacing and rest days with context to try and ascertain where key players may well be rested in forthcoming weeks, There's analysis on what the outlook may look like in December for the likes of premium picks Mo Salah, Erling Haaland, Bukayo Saka and Cole Palmer and where James has questions over the likes of Alexander Isak and Ollie Watkins who could well offer differential captaincy potential for some attractive fixtures... but only if they play! Or is it actually, that the schedule looks kiner than it has in previous years and perhaps there's not too much for Fantasy managers to be concerned about...? Captaincy And Rotations | Planet FPL S. 8 Ep. 5 | Fantasy Premier League

Clayton and James take a deep dive into captaincy over the opening 10 Gameweeks of the season to determine the premium players wanted and needed for the opening weeks of the new season; before moving on in the latter part of the Podcast to a discussion on rotation options. The Haaland vs Salah debate continues, with the case made for both players, the difficulty in having both, the importance of the number 36, when it'll be time to hide behind the sofa and which of the players priced 8.5-10.5 stands up as being one that may well be wanted more often than FPL managers may expect for captaincy. There's also an overview of captaincy through the winter months and when during the season there really will be a time to take Haaland on with the captaincy - for those not brave enough to do it at the start! (Understandable!). Plus, a look at rotations, which even includes a 6.0 and 4,0 option together but focuses primarily on players and combinations priced in the 4.5 bracket and there may well be some options that haven't previously been considered. Rotation Roulette | The People's Poll ep. 132 | Planet FPL 2023/24

How much should Fantasy managers be concerned about upcoming rotation? There's a look at 'rest' days' in the upcoming calendar for those playing in the Champions League and why Sunday games could cause particular concerns for the Europa qualifiers. Does the threat or rotation help or hinder those who wish to take Haaland on during City's difficult run? Are concerns over Newcastle rotation overplayed or justified? Newcastle United with Simon Bibby | Correspondent Week ep. 14 | Planet FPL 2023/24

When does the season hold in store for Newcastle following qualification for the Champions League. Simon Bibby joins James to talk all things Newcastle including all the potential FPL assets. It’s a tough opening for The Toon; Villa, Man City, Liverpool and Brighton is the opening 4, and so many want to treat Newcastle as a watch and wait, but Kieran Trippier and Sven Botman’s ownership suggest otherwise. Are the defensive pair worth having or are they like to bleed value? There’s discussion on new signings Sandro Tonali and Harvey Barnes, increasing depth in the squad could mean more rotation but there is concern about depth defensively. Plus, who’s likely to start out of Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson? And Si and James agree on the Newcastle asset they are most likely to pick in FPL… and the answer may surprise. The LA Galaxy don't win in Dallas. So you need to start Joveljic.

FC Dallas hasn't been good. And the LA Galaxy can't win in Dallas. What does that all mean? Hosts Josh Guesman and Christian Miles discuss the current state of the LA Galaxy. They need points - any points. And they haven't taken a win from Dallas since 2015, and it will be an uphill battle on Saturday. The guys will start by discussing the few fleeting rumors that briefly included the Galaxy. They'll talk about Luis Suarez's possible move to MLS after his Nacional stay. Would you want him on the Galaxy? And what to make of French winger Denis Bouanga? Is $8 million too much to ask? And were the Galaxy misidentified in the rumor? Plus, Josh and Christian will talk about the movement of Markus Ferkranus, who will spend the rest of the season in Phoenix. Does this mean he's in the dog house? But what do the stats say about this Galaxy team? And how many points will they need to make the playoffs? Can you identify 100-percent wins on this schedule? Finally, the guys discuss the importance of fresh, young legs in the heat at Toyota Stadium this weekend. So that means Dejan Joveljic starts, right? What can you expect from a place that often makes for weird games? Do you remember the win blowing in a goal for Dallas? Do you remember weather delays? Can the Galaxy win? We've got a great show for you today, and we're thrilled you decided to join us!

Creativity? The Galaxy need Vazquez back, Grandsir as a starter, and a lot more of Joveljic.

- SUBSCRIBE TO OUR PODCAST: http://cornerofthegalaxy.com/subscribe/ - COG LA GALAXY DISCORD: https://discord.gg/drr9HFZY2P - COG MERCHANDISE (SCARVES, T-SHIRTS, BUTTONS, COASTERS): http://www.cornerofthegalaxy.com/SHOP COG STUDIOS, Calif. -- The LA Galaxy came out flat against Real Salt Lake on Saturday afternoon. The lack of creativity in this lineup is starting to show itself. And while Kevin Cabral had been firmly in the crosshairs before this game, he cemented his position and started to drag Douglas Costa and Efrain Alvarez with him. On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter discuss the Galaxy's lack of creativity and why they think this club will need something different. Either that's getting Victor Vazquez back and healthy or by going out and grabbing a CAM in the summer transfer window. But like so much of this early season, this show will revolve around Cabral's inability to make an impact on the game and why Dejan Joveljic is the hot hand that needs more playing time. Will Vanney's defensive balance be thrown away by the club in favor of more scoring? Or does it make more sense to get Joveljic minutes in place of the biggest goal-scoring threat for the Galaxy? What do you make of two Designated Players that are injury prone and two Designated Players that have shown relatively little in the way of production in the goals or assists category? We've got an entire show of discussions on formations, chances created, and expected goals — all hoping to get the best players on the field for LA. Thanks for joining us!

Under the bright lights, Galaxy should be careful with Nashville - Open Cup Recap & Draw

It's under the lights at Dignity Health Sports Park, which means we're expecting fireworks! Your host Josh Guesman is joined by special co-host Spectrum SportsNet Galaxy sideline reporter Nikki Kay. Nikki makes her way back to the podcast in hosting duties for the second time and the first time in 2022. Josh and Nikki want to get you through the big takeaways from this week in Galaxy news. And they're going to start with the win in the US Open Cup. The San Diego Loyal put together a good showing against a Galaxy team that saw a couple of regulars in the mostly B-Team lineup. But Greg Vanney might have some explaining to do when Chicharito made an appearance deep into the second half. Are you okay with Vanney taking the Open Cup very seriously? And do you worry about the legs of certain players after the midweek tussle with Landon Donovan's side? Nikki will also update you on the Galaxy's media availability from today. And both Josh and Nikki will tell you what to expect from the Open Cup's next round and where the Galaxy will be off to (Irvine). Finally, your hosts will get you ready for the invasion from Nashville. Why is Dave Romney a threat to his old team? Why is Nashville more balanced than they've ever been? And why could the Galaxy exploit some speed and some shotty set-piece defending? We've got a bunch to cover on today's show. And we're delighted Nikki could join us. But we're ecstatic that you chose us to get you ready for this weekend.

On this weeks feature Planet #FPL Podcast Suj & James review all the Gameweek 34 action including Bale's stunning hat-trick in a week where points for FPL managers were hard to find.
