Barcelona win another classic Clasico while Napoli slip up in Scudetto race

Jimbo’s joined by Julien Laurens, Pol Ballús, Seb Stafford-Bloor and James Horncastle for your weekly dose of Continental chatter. It’s a clean sweep of four Clasico victories this season for Barcelona over Real after Sunday afternoon’s bonkers 4-3 win at Montjuïc. It moves Hansi Flick’s side seven points clear with three games left to play, while Carlo Ancelotti sets off into the Brazilian sunset… Over in Italy, after their midweek Champions League heroics Inter closed the gap on Napoli at the top of the table to just one point as Antonio Conte’s side conceded an 84th minute equaliser from Genoa to set up a nervy finish with two games left of this enthralling Serie A campaign. We touch base with the equally dramatic title race in the Eredivisie - where Ajax’s nine-point lead at the top of the table has evaporated to just one. Chasers PSV came back from 2-0 down at Feyenoord to win 3-2 in the 99th minute AND Ajax lost 3-0 at home! Michiel Jongsma stops by to tell us more. In France, Monaco locked in their UCL place courtesy of a 2-0 win over Lyon - while Marseille followed suit in their 3-1 victory at Le Havre - but could Roberto De Zerbi’s future be elsewhere? Jimbo’s joined by his continental crew - James Horncastle, Julien Laurens, Pol Ballús and Seb Stafford-Bloor - to look back on the latest week of action from across Europe AND look ahead to the decisive Champions League matchday 8 ties. Nine teams have already been eliminated from the competition with three more to go, but can Manchester City avoid being one of them? Belgian football expert Kristof Terreur joins us to preview their must-win game against Club Brugge. Elsewhere, it’s also finely poised between Stuttgart and PSG who sit 24th and 22nd in the table… Back to domestic matters, and in Serie A Napoli continued their fine form and made it 7 wins on the bounce as they fought back from a goal to win 2-1 over Juventus and end their unbeaten record. Plus, drama at the San Siro as Conceição and Calabria almost came to blows… In La Liga Kylian Mbappé bagged his first hat-trick for Real Madrid as they went four points clear at the top of the table after a 3-0 victory over Real Valladolid. Over in Germany, Bayern moved six points clear at the top after their 2-1 win at Freiburg, while closest rivals Leverkusen saw a two-goal lead evaporate as they were held by Leipzig. And in Ligue 1, PSG dropped points for the fifth time this season in a 1-1 draw with Reims at the Parc de Princes. But they’ve actually extended their lead at the top to 10 points after Marseille were beaten 2-0 by Nice in the Derby de la Mediterranée. Produced by Lucy Oliva. Late Bundesliga Drama as Bayern Get Their 11th in a Row, Plus Pochettino to Chelsea and More

Musa and Ryan focus their attention on Germany this week, beginning with Bayern’s men securing their 11th straight Bundesliga in a row with a win in Köln while Dortmund drew 2-2 at home to Mainz (02:44). They discuss Dortmund freezing at the Westfalenstadion, the shock felt around the league, and the aftermath of an eventful season for Bayern that cost Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic their respective jobs as CEO and sporting director. They then heap all the praise they can on Urs Fischer for guiding Union Berlin to the Champions League (32:04), as well as Christian Streich, whose Freiburg side narrowly missed out. After all that, they touch on Bayern also securing the Frauen-Bundesliga (40:22) before wrapping up a dramatic day in the 2. Bundesliga, where Hamburg missed out again on automatic promotion (42:07), as Heidenheim scored two in stoppage time to win the second tier and join the already-promoted Darmstadt in the top flight. They finally wrap up with some other stuff around Europe (48:33), including Mauricio Pochettino’s confirmation as the new Chelsea head coach and Luciano Spalletti leaving Napoli. Real Madrid Hit Four at Camp Nou, Freiburg End Bayern's Treble Hopes, Premier League and More

It’s been a busy week of league and cup matches around Europe, so Musa and Ryan begin at Camp Nou, where Real Madrid put four past Barcelona to progress to the Copa del Rey final to face Osasuna, who are there for only the second time in their history (03:32). Next it’s off to Germany, where Freiburg recorded a historic win at Bayern to end Thomas Tuchel’s side’s hopes of a treble (12:05), Leipzig made a tough week tougher for Dortmund and there were more goals from Randal Kolo Muani. In Italy, there were grim scenes as Romelu Lukaku received more racist abuse at Juventus, then received a second yellow for his response to the crowd after scoring Inter’s equalising penalty (19:15). Finally, there’s also some chat about this week’s round of Premier League fixtures, including a great night for Newcastle and yet another win for Aston Villa (24:35), plus a bit on Frank Lampard’s return to Chelsea, recorded before the news was confirmed. Mourinho betrayed, Union thrashed and the lack of violence in La Liga

For the final time in 2022, the Euro crew of Jimbo, James Horncastle, Raphael Honigstein, Julien Laurens and Alvaro Romeo saddle up and ride again across the continent.
