Con lui dovevi lavorare con il cuore oltre al 95% per 50 minuti. Se non lo facevi, non era soddisfatto. Questo portava anche al vomito, dovuto all’acido lattico. È successo anche a me, ma fa parte del lavoro". MOMENTI DIFFICILI "La difficoltà legata alla nascita di mio figlio, che ho già raccontato. I tanti pianti sotto la doccia dopo prestazioni brutte o periodi di forte pressione. All’inizio ti vergogni a dire che hai pianto, poi con il passare del tempo capisci che può liberarti. Ricordo un pianto fortissimo nello spogliatoio del Benevento: ero stato messo sotto pressione dai tifosi, ero stato molto criticato nelle settimane precedenti. Scoppiai in lacrime dopo aver segnato un gran gol al volo, non ricordo contro chi, forse il Palermo".
