A safe bet ahead of the summer transfer window is that Manchester City will sign a right-back. Matheus Nunes has become Manchester City’s first-choice right-back, and the Portuguese international’s performances this season could see City target a young right-back to compete with Matheus Nunes for minutes next season. One player who fits that bill is […] The post A battle may await Manchester City to sign an impressive young right-back appeared first on Esteemed Kompany.

Manchester City will welcome Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium this Sunday as they look to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Mancunian giants managed to earn an impressive 3-0 win away at Chelsea recently, so they would be eager to keep their good form going this weekend. Pep Guardiola will […] The post Haaland To Spearhead Guardiola’s Attack | 4-2-3-1 Manchester City Predicted Lineup Vs Arsenal appeared first on The 4th Official - A view from the sideline.

It may sound counterintuitive, but Mikel Arteta might, before what is arguably the biggest Arsenal match in 20 years, need to adopt some things from a team that just lost 4-0 to our opponents. There’s often a tactical tweak or a surprise selection when Pep Guardiola heads into a big game. Last month’s League Cup […] The post Tactics Column: Lessons for Arsenal against Man City’s 4-2-4 appeared first on Arseblog ... an Arsenal blog.

There’ll surely be huge demand for Manchester City vs Arsenal tickets as this weekend’s game...

Sunday, 19 April 2026, is already buzzing with that special, electric atmosphere that heralds a day capable of rewriting the entire history of the current English Premier League season. At the majestic Etihad Stadium — that ultra-modern temple of football — Manchester City will host the fierce Gunners from Arsenal. The headline fixture of the […] The post Man City vs Arsenal 19 April 2026: Etihad thunder, old scars and a title race on a knife edge appeared first on Fan Banter.

Liverpool fell to their heaviest FA Cup defeat in 80 years as they were thumped 4-0 by Manchester City. Erling Haaland fired in a hat-trick to send the Citizens into a record eighth consecutive FA …

The Carabao Cup trophy is back at the Etihad, its rightful home, and David Mooney is joined by City fan KC and, from Sporting News, Dom Farrell to discuss the final against Arsenal. City have now won the League Cup under the Carabao banner more than any other team combined and Pep Guardiola has become the first manager ever to win the trophy on five different occasions. With the international break to come, there's plenty of room in today's show to discuss the key performances from the victory at Wembley, which means giving due praise to the likes of Matheus Nunes, Rayan Cherki, Jeremy Doku and Antoine Semenyo... and not forgetting the Mancunian City fan from the academy who scored both goals, Nico O'Reilly. Plus, there was also an interesting tactical approach from Guardiola to starve Arsenal of opportunities to get out of their own defensive third. The Athletic's Jon Mackenzie joins the show to break that down and look at how City strangled their opposition to get on top of the game. On top of that, there's been more chatter around Guardiola's future... but, perhaps more of an immediate concern are the quotes from Rodri about the next steps in his career. Could that be away from the Etihad and back in Madrid? Also, who would be the best City player in the circus? ========== To get more podcasts or to listen without the ads, join our Patreon. On Clash of the Correspondents James is joined by Nottingham Forest fan Mark Sutherns and Manchester City fan Jonny Pringle to discuss the latest at their clubs and preview Saturday's meeting between the clubs at The City Ground. There's reflection on Ange Postecoglu's time at Forest and if Sean Dyche can steer them clear of relegation as most seem to expect he will. While City are on a great run having won 10 of their last 12 in the league and have got themselves back into title contention. There's plenty of FPL chat too, featuring if Erling Haaland should be taken on with the armband, Phil Foden and Rayan Cherki, Matheus Nunes v Nico O'Reilly, if 4.0 John Victor is now Forest's number one, Elliott Anderson, 0.1% owned Omari Hutchinson and more... “Savinho Steals the Show! Man City Outclass Villarreal in Europe 💙” The Blue Moon Botcast is back — and the vibes are immaculate! 💙 Manchester City made it look easy once again in the Champions League, cruising past Villarreal 2–0 at the Etihad. Pep Guardiola’s side stay unbeaten in the group, sitting on seven points from three games — and there were plenty of talking points from this one! Rico Lewis and Savinho absolutely ran the show in the first half, combining for the opening goal — with Erling Haaland (obviously!) on hand to score for a 12th consecutive game. The man’s a machine. Then, just when you thought he’d bag all the goals again, Bernardo Silva popped up with a header from another brilliant Savinho cross. In the second half, Donnarumma pulled off some key saves to keep the clean sheet intact, and Pep’s rotation plan paid off perfectly. We’re talking tactical tweaks, standout performances, and that unstoppable City rhythm we all love. 🎙️ In this episode, we break down Player ratings and fan takes: Donnarumma – 8: Rock solid. Made a huge save in the second half and stayed switched on all night. Nunes – 8: Excellent down the flank, linked up beautifully with Lewis and Savinho early on. Dias – 7: Got booked harshly, but handled their forwards with ease. Stones – 7: Just pure class. That midfield drift? He makes it look effortless. Gvardiol – 6: A couple of sloppy moments — Pep wasn’t happy — but he’ll shake it off. Gonzalez – 7: Looked sharp, great awareness. Shame he had to hobble off. Bernardo Silva – 8: Scored and isn’t named Haaland! Worked hard at both ends. Rico Lewis – 7: Outstanding first half, faded a bit later, but still so influential. Savinho – 8: What a performance. Two assists, full of energy — electric. Doku – 6: Not quite his night. Missed an early chance and couldn’t get going. Haaland – 8: Another game, another goal. The guy’s on fire — unstoppable right now. Subs: Kovacic (for Gonzalez, 57’) – 7: Played some delicious passes through to Haaland. Reijnders (for Lewis, 72’) – 6: Loves to drive forward, maybe a bit too much sometimes. Bobb (for Doku, 72’) – 6: Didn’t have long to make an impact. 💬 Drop your thoughts in the comments: Who was your Man of the Match — Haaland, Savinho, or maybe Donnarumma for that clutch save? Jonny Pringle joins James for the opening Podcast on Day 4 of Correspondent Week to discuss all things Manchester City, including whether we should consider them as capable of getting back to their best. Erling Haaland is of course discussed, will Jonny start with him and take on Liverpool's Mo Salah? There's several head to heads within the City squad discussed including Eayan Ait-Nouri v Josko Gvardiol and Phil Foden v Omar Marmoush. The case is also made for consideration to the likes of Matheus Nunes, Tijani Reijnders and a hopefully, fully fit Rodri. But the opening fixtures aren't (in Jonny's words) a slam dunk, and unlikely many previous seasons, the squad has too many bodies. Meaning rotation is likely to be as big a headache as ever.
