It was a rollercoaster weekend in the Premier League, with many clubs being thrown from joy one minute to despair the next. Musa and Ryan focus on Manchester City’s 3-0 over Liverpool (03:30), which saw another goal for Erling Haaland and arguably Jeremy Doku’s best performance in a City shirt so far. Sunderland did what no side has done this season, by scoring two against Arsenal at the Stadium of Light (21:38), there was late drama at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium and more great wins for Villa, West Ham, Brentford and Everton. There's also chat about Pep Guardiola, after he reached 1000 games as a manager this weekend. Much of the theme of this Podcast is a search for players to pick for Wildcarders, but there's difficulty in locking down the right players from the teams with the best upcoming fixtures. One such team is Liverpool, who were beaten handsomely by Manchester City, whose 3-0 victory with Jeremy Doku starring felt like a statement win in pursuit of Arsenal, who were finally breached as they dropped points late on at Sunderland. Tottenham too dropped points against Manchester United, having come from behind as Arsenal did, whilst Chelsea and Aston Villa both won comfortably on home soil, but there are concerns for some and their form on their travels, including Leeds United and a Newcastle United that again lost a lead and were beaten at Brentford. And they've got a forward everyone is now taking a serious look at... “Savinho Steals the Show! Man City Outclass Villarreal in Europe 💙” The Blue Moon Botcast is back — and the vibes are immaculate! 💙 Manchester City made it look easy once again in the Champions League, cruising past Villarreal 2–0 at the Etihad. Pep Guardiola’s side stay unbeaten in the group, sitting on seven points from three games — and there were plenty of talking points from this one! Rico Lewis and Savinho absolutely ran the show in the first half, combining for the opening goal — with Erling Haaland (obviously!) on hand to score for a 12th consecutive game. The man’s a machine. Then, just when you thought he’d bag all the goals again, Bernardo Silva popped up with a header from another brilliant Savinho cross. In the second half, Donnarumma pulled off some key saves to keep the clean sheet intact, and Pep’s rotation plan paid off perfectly. We’re talking tactical tweaks, standout performances, and that unstoppable City rhythm we all love. 🎙️ In this episode, we break down Player ratings and fan takes: Donnarumma – 8: Rock solid. Made a huge save in the second half and stayed switched on all night. Nunes – 8: Excellent down the flank, linked up beautifully with Lewis and Savinho early on. Dias – 7: Got booked harshly, but handled their forwards with ease. Stones – 7: Just pure class. That midfield drift? He makes it look effortless. Gvardiol – 6: A couple of sloppy moments — Pep wasn’t happy — but he’ll shake it off. Gonzalez – 7: Looked sharp, great awareness. Shame he had to hobble off. Bernardo Silva – 8: Scored and isn’t named Haaland! Worked hard at both ends. Rico Lewis – 7: Outstanding first half, faded a bit later, but still so influential. Savinho – 8: What a performance. Two assists, full of energy — electric. Doku – 6: Not quite his night. Missed an early chance and couldn’t get going. Haaland – 8: Another game, another goal. The guy’s on fire — unstoppable right now. Subs: Kovacic (for Gonzalez, 57’) – 7: Played some delicious passes through to Haaland. Reijnders (for Lewis, 72’) – 6: Loves to drive forward, maybe a bit too much sometimes. Bobb (for Doku, 72’) – 6: Didn’t have long to make an impact. 💬 Drop your thoughts in the comments: Who was your Man of the Match — Haaland, Savinho, or maybe Donnarumma for that clutch save?
