Barca and Real grab last-gasp winners as Napoli go level with Inter

Jimbo’s got Julien Laurens, Seb Stafford-Bloor, Pol Ballús and Italian expert Max Callegari alongside him to recap all the latest action from across the continent. Fresh off the back of last week’s thrilling Champions League quarterfinals - it’s back to domestic matters - but with a nod to the small matter of Arsenal v PSG and Barcelona v Inter just around the corner… Back in Serie A, Napoli moved level on points with Inter at the top of the table after the Nerazzurri were beaten 1-0 by a stunning goal from substitute Riccardo Orsolini. So, could we be heading towards a play-off to decide who takes the Scudetto?! In Spain, Barcelona and Real Madrid scored dramatic stoppage-time winners to keep the La Liga title race alive ahead of Saturday’s Copa del Rey final between the two. No such luck for Atleti though, who saw their slim title hopes dashed courtesy of a late defeat at the hands of our favourites Las Palmas. Over in France, it’s all eyes on Arsenal for PSG as they continued their march to an unbeaten league season with a 2-1 win at Le Havre. Marseille put five past Montpellier to take back second place from Monaco - but it’s their plans for the rest of the campaign which have raised a few eyebrows… And in Germany, the Bundesliga title race is all but over as Bayern Munich thrashed Heidenheim 4-0 to move eight points clear after Leverkusen were held at St Pauli. But could Xavi Alonso’s focus be elsewhere with links to the Real Madrid job growing stronger? Produced by Lucy Oliva. RUNNING ORDER: • PART 1: Moments of the weekend - well, four French moments of the weekend (00.45) • PART 2: Serie A review - Orsolini stuns Inter as Napoli move level on points (06.30) • PART 3: Ligue 1 review - PSG prepare for Arsenal and Marseille head to… Rome?! Barcelona vs Inter: Pep, José, and the Era-Defining Semi-Final - Part One

Welcome to It Was What It Was. As Barcelona and Inter prepare to face off once again in this year’s Champions League semi-final, we look back at the original - a tie that shaped modern football. Pep Guardiola vs. José Mourinho. All-out attack vs. tactical defiance. Ideology, rivalry - maybe even good vs. evil? In Part One, Rob and Jonathan set the scene: how Mourinho’s Inter came to challenge the most dominant team in the world, the tactics he used, the battles he fought in Italy, and how both sides arrived at this collision point chasing domestic and European glory. Part Two drops Friday, where Rob and Jonathan break down the epic semi-final itself. 00:00 Barcelona's Football Perfection 01:48 Mourinho vs. Guardiola: A Rivalry Begins 02:47 The Dark Side of Mourinho 03:25 Star Wars Analogies and Football Tactics 06:53 Mourinho's Seven-Point Plan 07:45 Mourinho's Philosophy and Evolution 08:43 Mourinho's Journey to Inter Milan 09:58 Cultural Expectations and Pragmatic Football 12:23 Mourinho's Press Conference Antics 13:44 Mourinho's Linguistic Brilliance 14:49 Mourinho's Training Philosophy 20:04 Key Matches and Tactical Shifts 21:16 Mourinho's First Season at Inter 22:27 Transfer Drama: Stars on the Move 23:51 Barcelona's Dominance and Challenges 26:40 Inter's Journey to the Semifinals 28:57 Mourinho's Tactical Mastery 32:29 Controversies and Confrontations 40:24 The Road to the Semifinals 43:57 Setting the Stage for the Epic Semifinal Hosted on Acast. In an incredible career, the 30-year-old has won the Champions League four times, La Liga and the Premier League as well as playing in a World Cup. Champions League race | Timber Interview | Carragher and Slot

Vicky Gomersall is joined by Sky Sports News reporter Gary Cotterill and The Sunday Times Chief Football Writer Jonathan Northcroft to reflect on the weekend’s sporting action. We begin by looking at the Premier League title race, with Liverpool in touching distance to secure the title. How important will Virgil Van Dijk’s new contract be? Gary believes Van Dijk is the greatest centre back since Vincent Kompany, but do Liverpool need to spend big in summer? Next, Daniel Khan sits down with Ruud Van Nistlerooy to talk about Leicester’s difficult position, the standards being set and plans for the future. Elsewhere, we discuss the race for the Champions League spots, looking at Aston Villa’s 4-1 win at home over Newcastle and Olly Watkin’s post-match interview, claiming he was “fuming” to be left on the bench against PSG. Gary and Jonathan both think Forest are the team to miss out on the Champions League for next season. Also, Joe Thomlinson interviews Jurrien Timber about the win over Real Madrid and a personal battle won against Vinicius Jr, and the elite level defence Arsenal have created this season. We then discuss Tottenham, after they’ve reached the Europa League semi-finals. Gary thinks Ange is a man who looks like he’s feeling the pressure and believes a lot of Tottenham fans think he’ll be gone win or lose in the semi-finals. We end with two more interviews; Jamie Carragher sits down with Arne Slot to talk about Salah and Van Dijk’s contract renewals, Trent being back on the pitch, and the title coming to a close. And James Cole chats with Mikel Arteta about defeating Madrid, and carrying form in to the league.
