A newly Twitterless Kris is joined by Jez and Phil to look back at the second round of the Champions' League, the weekend's league action, contrasting fortunes in the Europa league, and how the newly announced lockdown in France will affect French football.

Stephen Howson is joined by Jay Motty for a brew, discussing the latest news stories, and of course the recent events at Manchester United. The BIG story today is coming from Paul Pogba, who has decided to take legal action over a story released in The S*n about him quitting the French national team due to comments made by the French Prime Minister. The Champions League started badly for the French contingent, so Kris, Jez and Phil look back over 1 point from 3 matches and some late goals that did for PSG and OM. We also look at the weekend's games, lots of goals, two teams going down to nine men, whether we need to talk about Saint-Etienne, and if Lille might make a race of this.

Kris, Jez and Phil look back over the international break, including two Nations' League games, and discuss Giroud's 100th cap, formation changes, and Kylian Mbappe's job. We also look forward to the weekend's schedule featuring several matches between closely placed teams, and give a nod to the start of European club competition.

We missed last week because reasons, so are back to round up game 5, what Lyon and PSG are up to, the Champions League draw, French team announcement, and various discinplinary issues.

It's been a quiet week, so Kris, Jez and Phil try to think of things to talk about. This includes the card-laden stramash with occasional football that was le Classique which saw Marseille winning 1-0 at the Parc des Princes, Lyon's woes, the current location of Houssem Aouar, Montpellier's up-and-at-'em style, and Irvin Cardona putting his name in early for the Puskás Award.

PSG have lost their first two games after a Classique that saw 5 red cards and continuing controversy. Competitions kick off in England, Germany and Holland. France's Ligue 1 already underway. Italy next week. Did you know McKennie plays for Juventus now? Plus cargo shorts and a Dutch-Calvinist theologian.

It’s a lighthearted show ahead of the return of the men’s domestic seasons, as Musa and Ryan touch on the Nations League between France and Croatia, Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland (4:01) plus Cristiano Ronaldo’s 100th and 101st international goals (11:51). They then dive into talk on the new season’s kits (17:07), plus how the death of the two-year kit cycle has made it hard for fans to form relationships with shirts, resulting in modern kits not being remembered as fondly as those of old (25:38). There’s more big FA WSL signings (33:36), a lot of catfish talk (36:10), and a brief chat about the takeaway from the first six episodes of Spurs’ 'All or Nothing' documentary series (42:28). After an international break that saw France beat Sweden and Croatia in the Nations League, Kris, Jez and Phil look back at les Bleus' performances, the new defensive set-up, the U21s, how many players PSG actually have available, and some mild transfer chat.

Despite England serving up yet another dull affair, there’s still plenty for Marcus, Pete and Vish to get stuck into on today’s episode of the Ramble! A load of last night's Nations League goals came elsewhere, as Olivier Giroud bagged his 40th for France and Ronaldo brought up his international century with two beauties. We also chat about Ollie Watkins’ potential move to Villa, the ever-impressive Héctor Bellerín and the recent news that all of September's football will be televised. More decisions have been made in Europe as Ligue 1 decides to give the title to Paris St Germain. It’s not yet confirmed if they’ll also give them next season’s title but let’s be honest, they might as well. There are also rumours that the Premier League will resume behind the closed doors of the remote and impenetrable St George’s Park fortress… but those rumours appear to have come from WhatsApp voice notes. On top of all this we’re pitch for Neil Warnock to join the cast of Gogglebox, Marcus and Pete are having some troubles in their long distance relationship, Tim Sherwood annoys everyone and Dave Kitson annoys everyone. PSG have had a hell of a week, from a 6-1 hammering of Dijon in the Coupe de France, through a chaotic 4-4 draw in the Ligue to 19th placed Amiens, to a 2-1 defeat by Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League knock-out stages. Kris, Jez and Phil are here to look at what happened, how, why, by whom and wherever. “José Mourinho’s side hold on, and they’ve won the UEFA Cup! In this meeting of two former European champions, it is Porto who come out on top in Seville.” Yes, for today’s episode of Greatest Games, in association with The Blizzard, we’re heading back to the 2003 UEFA Cup between Porto and Celtic alongside Kieran Canning, journalist at Agence France-Presse. This frenetic game brough the curtain down on Celtic’s most successful trophyless season, after losing the league by a point and the league cup final the week before. 80,000 fans (and one Jonathan Wilson) descended on Seville in the searing heat to see Martin O’Neill’s team take on a hugely impressive Porto side managed by the Special One himself. With February here, we’re taking a look at some of the fallout from a fairly lively January transfer window on today's episode of Jules & Andy! We begin with marooned striker Olivier Giroud who, after touted moves both within the Premier League and overseas never flourished, he remains stuck in the stands at Chelsea. We discuss where it's gone wrong for the Frenchman and how he may be able to squeeze himself into Frank Lampard's squad. We then take a look at the suspiciously timely rumours of a takeover at Newcastle United and run the rule over their own new loan signings. There's all of that, plus a load of correspondence – including a dramatic turn in the "Shrews" vs "Shrows"-bury debate. We're back! After an extended winter break, Kris, Phil, Rich and Jez are joined by Coupe correspondent John Mainland to look back at the post-Christmas action, including many cupsets in the Coupe de France, one of which happens as we are recording. Along with the Ligue 1 positions and Coupe de la Ligue, we will be starting our series 'French Football Future' in the coming weeks, so if there are any players you are anxious to hear about, let us know in the comments or on Twitter.

We’re back with some more continental conversation as Luke Moore, Andy Brassell and Lars Sivertsen bring you another episode of On The Continent on Football Ramble Daily! After a fantastic Coupe de France performance we begin with a discussion on Lyon’s latest academy product, 16 year-old Rayan Cherki. We discuss his impressive technical qualities and also look at the wider history of exciting graduates from their academy’s illustrious history. After that, we check in with a struggling Hertha Berlin and their coach Jurgen Klinsmann, who recently couldn’t produce his coaching badges to Bundesliga officials after leaving them in a cupboard back in the USA - an apt metaphor for their season… Elsewhere we discuss some typically insane scenes in Portugal’s Taça de Liga, delve into the backstory of Braga manager Rúben Amorim and preview the Rome derby in our Games of the Week! We’re back in the studio with some more continental content, as Luke Moore and Andy Brassell are joined by The Guardian’s Nicky Bandini! We begin, as the man himself would expect, with Zlatan Ibrahimović’s largely uneventful debut for Milan. Nicky discusses how his leadership off the pitch might be more valuable than his contribution on it, as well as assessing Stefano Pioli’s struggles in the dugout. We also mention some struggles down south, as Gennaro Gattuso hasn’t had the best start at Napoli and club legend Dries Mertens now find himself resigned to the subs bench. Elsewhere, Andy runs us through Porto’s impressive win over Sporting and their impressive boss Sérgio Conceição. There’s also some chat on perhaps Europe’s best cup competition, the Coupe de France, and a preview of some cracking Games of the Week. Table-toppers Inter against free-scoring Atalanta, anyone? We’ve got a debutant joining us on the first On The Continent of the new decade, as Andy and Lars are joined by German-based writer Ryan Hunn! We begin with the biggest continental news as Erling Braut Håland completes his move to Borussia Dortmund. We discuss how the transfer came about and how he’ll fit into Dortmund’s front line as their first out-and-out striker in a fair while. On the other side of their transfer ledger, we also take stock of Julian Weigl’s recently-completed his move to Benfica. Elsewhere there are some truly glorious transfers for us to celebrate, including Messrs Ben Arfa, Ibrahimovic and Cavani all making moves. And Andy gives us an update from the South of France as Leonardo Jardim has been sacked by Monaco for a second time in fourteen months. Correspondence?
