Bayern no longer perfect, Conte being Conte - and ten Hag back to Ajax?!

Jimbo’s got Pol Ballús, James Horncastle, Julien Laurens and Seb Stafford-Bloor all along for the rollercoaster ride through the weekend’s action across the continent. We kick things off in France, where PSG have João Neves to thank for their two-point lead at the top of the Ligue 1 table after his 95th minute winner against Lyon. But chasers Lens and Marseille had wins of their own to keep the pressure on Luis Enrique’s side. In the Bundesliga - Bayern didn’t win a game! But neither did Leipzig or Dortmund, meaning Vincent Kompany’s men have actually extended their lead at the top of the table to six points despite the 2-2 draw at Union Berlin. In Spain, Real Madrid were lucky to come away from Rayo Vallecano with a point - which Barcelona took full advantage of in their 4-2 win at Celta Vigo, featuring a hat-trick from 37-year-old Robert Lewandowski. A special guest joins us from Vigo… nothing to do with Nando’s…. And in Serie A, are we seeing a repeat of Napoli’s last title defence?! Antonio Conte made some… interesting comments after his side were beaten 2-0 by Bologna to fall behind Inter and Roma at the top of the table. Plus - what’s going on at Ajax?! Dutch football expert Michiel Jongsma joins us to explain some of the fun and games in the Eredivisie - and whether a certain ten Hag might be making a return… Produced by Lucy Oliva. Man City dismantle Liverpool as super Sunderland stop Arsenal’s winning run

Jimbo is joined by Daniel Storey, Duncan Alexander and Tim Spiers after a dramatic Matchday 11 in the Premier League. Pep Guardiola celebrates his 1000th game as a manager with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over champions Liverpool. Are the Reds out of the race? Meanwhile City look back to their best as they close the gap on leaders Arsenal to 4 points. That's because of a last-gasp equaliser for Sunderland at the Stadium of Light as the Gunners concede not once but twice! There are big wins on Sunday for Forest over Leeds, Brentford over Newcastle and most impressively Villa over Bournemouth by four goals to nil. Spurs are also denied by a stoppage-time leveller on Saturday as De Ligt pops up to keep Man United's unbeaten run going. Will Haaland help City topple Liverpool? Will the Black Cats be bad luck for Arsenal?

Jimbo's accompanied by Charlie Eccleshare, Mark Carey and Duncan Alexander for a closer inspection of Wednesday night's Champions League action - and a look ahead to MD11 in the Premier League. In the UCL there was end-to-end chaos in Bruges, potentially costly dropped points for Chelsea out in Azerbaijan - and a sensational header from Dan Burn as Newcastle picked up their third straight European victory. But - as City blew away Dortmund - is the disparity between the Premier League and the other sides across the continent growing bigger and bigger? Then it's back to domestic affairs - and the small matter of Manchester City v Liverpool on Sunday afternoon as both sides seek out a win to try and keep pace with leaders Arsenal. But could the Gunners have already stretched the gap to nine points if they can be the first side to win at the Stadium of Light this season on Saturday evening? All that plus the Europa League final rematch, the battle for Pease Pottage services - and bags of snakes. Produced by Charlie Jones and Lucy Oliva. Liverpool v Real & PSG v Bayern top midweek Champions League billing

Jimbo, Julien Laurens, Pol Ballús, Seb Stafford-Bloor and James Horncastle are all aboard for your latest Euro Edition - with a pretty mouthwatering MD4 upon us in the Champions League. We begin with some of those key midweek battles including yet another showdown between PSG and Bayern, the Trent/ Alonso Derby as Real Madrid head back to Anfield - and the meeting of minds as Marseille v Atalanta pits Roberto De Zerbi against Ivan Jurić. Domestically, in Serie A Luciano Spalletti began life as Juve manager with a 2-1 win at Cremonese - and he’s not shy about their title ambitions this season, just four points behind Napoli in top spot. Real Madrid maintained their commanding position at the top of the La Liga table - but are things all as they seem behind the scenes under Xabi Alonso’s management? After a peculiar round of results in midweek PSG got back to winning ways and are two points clear at the top of Ligue 1 - while Monaco tasted defeat for the first time under Sébastien Pocognoli. And in the Bundesliga - there’s questions around Dortmund’s identity under Niko Kovač - and what the expectations are for Bayer Leverkusen as they were outclassed by a seemingly unstoppable Bayern. Bellingham shines in dramatic Clasico as Juve show Tudor the door

Jimbo’s got James Horncastle with him in the studio and Seb Stafford-Bloor, Pol Ballús and Julien Laurens in far flung corners of Germany and Spain for your weekly round up of European footballing fun. There’s only one place to start - and that’s with events at the Santiago Bernabéu on Sunday afternoon as Real put an end to Barca’s recent Clásico dominance in typically tempestuous and dramatic fashion. Over in Italy, it was eight games without a win too many for Igor Tudor - dismissed by Juventus after their 1-0 defeat at Lazio. Meanwhile, Napoli went back top but lost KDB in bizarre circumstances - and back-flipping Jamie Vardy opened his Cremonese account! In a shock twist of fate Harry Kane *didn’t* score for Bayern Munich this weekend, but it didn’t matter as they made it 13 wins from 13 games in all competitions in their 3-0 victory at Gladbach. Closest challengers Leipzig continued their sensational form as they put six past Augsburg. And in Ligue 1, PSG are back on top thanks to their 3-0 win at Brest - taking full advantage of the defeat handed out to Marseille by high-flying Lens who are now up to second in the table! Arsenal gonna Arsenal - are Liverpool out of the title race?

Jimbo welcomes Daniel Storey, Reuben Pinder and Tim Spiers into the pod after a seismic Matchday 9 in the Premier League. It's a brilliant weekend for Arsenal who beat Crystal Palace while rivals Man City and Liverpool both lose. For Arne Slot's Reds, it's a 4th league defeat in a row as they are beaten at Brentford. Chelsea suffer a shock loss at home to Sunderland while Bournemouth go 2nd in the table after another victory over Sean Dyche's Forest. Wolves remain the only winless team in English football after a dramatic late winner for Burnley at Molineux. Natalie Gedra saw it all. Ekitike's Liverpool run riot + can Arsenal halt Palace's relentless attack?

Jimbo's got Natalie Gedra, Liam Tharme and Duncan Alexander alongside him in the studio for a closer look at all of Wednesday's Champions League action - and a look ahead to MD9 in the Premier League. Has normal Liverpool service resumed?! They came from behind in Frankfurt to arrest their string of back-to-back-to-back-to-back defeats. Meanwhile, Chelsea's young guns routed Ajax - with three teenagers on the scoresheet for the first time in UCL history. So five goals each for the Reds and Blues - no such luck for Spurs, who were lucky to come away from Monaco with a point. Attention then turns to domestic matters and another weekend of enticing fixtures in *our* league - including the battle of defence v attack as Arsenal host Palace, Manchester United going for an unthinkable three wins in a row against bogey side Brighton - and the Jordan Henderson Derby as Brentford promise to provide another tricky test for Arne Slot's side in West London. Are Inter the best team in Serie A? Plus Real v Juve leads midweek action

Jimbo’s got James Horncastle, Seb Stafford-Bloor, Pol Ballús and Julien Laurens with him as the Euro crew gear up for MD3 in the Champions League. In La Liga, there were 15-second delays and it was the late show once again for Barcelona who had to rely on another stoppage time winner, this time against bottom of the table Girona. Real’s narrow 1-0 win at Getafe sets us up beautifully for Sunday afternoon’s Clásico… It was goals galore in Ligue 1 as Marseille put six past Le Havre, while PSG and Strasbourg played out a 3-3 thriller on Friday night. So how will Luis Enrique’s side fare away at a resurgent Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday night? We’re running out of superlatives - and records for Harry Kane to break - after his latest goal in Bayern’s dominant 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund. Plus, what hopes of Eintracht Frankfurt piling more misery on Liverpool when they go toe-to-toe on Wednesday evening? And over in Italy, the title race continues to take turn after turn as Napoli and Juve dropped more points while the two Milan sides took advantage, with Serie A’s top four separated by just one point. Totally Extra: West Ham 06/07 - Tevez, Mascherano, Pards & Curbs

Jimbo opens the Totally Almanac in 2006 and is joined by Duncan Alexander, Benji Lanyado and special guest Alan Curbishley to discuss an unforgettable West Ham season. It was the tale of two Alan's and two Argentinians with Alan Pardew sacked, Alan Curbishley brought in and Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano pitching up in East London to almost everyone's surprise. A baptism of fire for the new Icelandic owners as the club eventually pulled off the great escape on the final day by completing a double against the champions Man Utd. Curbishley tells Jimbo about the pivotal moment he sat down with Tevez and his interpretor to inspire his season saving goals. It didn't end there though with Sheffield United taking them to court over the Tevez and Mascherano deal and Curbishley leaving, never to manage again. Plus two West Ham 06/07 themed quiz questions from Duncan. Produced by Jesse Howard, Lucy Oliva and Charlie Jones. England World Cup-bound + can Man United add to Liverpool’s losing streak?

Jimbo assembles Natalie Gedra, Dom Fifield and Duncan Alexander for another dose of Totally as we gear up for the return of the Premier League - and look back on the midweek international action. England became the first European nation to qualify for the World Cup on Tuesday night after their 5-0 win over Latvia. But what are the key selection headaches that will be troubling Thomas Tuchel? And who's running out of time to secure their place on the plane come next summer? Elsewhere, Sweden have sacked Jon Dahl Tomasson after somehow conspiring to pick up just one point in his four games in charge, leaving their hopes of qualification in a highly perilous position. And it's been a rollercoaster of an international break for Carlo Ancelotti's Brazil - hammering South Korea 5-0 but then handed a 3-2 defeat by Japan in Tokyo which has gone down predictably well back in South America... Then, it's full steam ahead to MD8 in the Premier League. We've got the intrigue of high-flying Palace v Bournemouth, Liverpool looking to end their three-match losing steak against Manchester United, who are on a one-match winning streak of their own - while Ange's increasingly precarious position at Forest faces its next test with Chelsea visiting the City Ground. All that plus Grand Sumo, Arctic Circle sackings - and 'Ndiaye Will Always Love You'. Produced by Charlie Jones and Lucy Oliva. RUNNING ORDER: • PART 1a: Hellos and naming rights (00.45) • PART 1b: World Cup qualifying round up (03.00) • PART 1c: Latvia 0-5 England - Three Lions qualify for WC '26 (05.10) • PART 2a: Big stories elsewhere in qualifying (15.15) • PART 2b: Sweden in a mess (17.55) • PART 2c: Japan beat Brazil (20.30) • PART 3a: Premier League MD8 round up (27.05) • PART 3b: Crystal Palace v Bournemouth preview (28.15) • PART 3c: Liverpool v Manchester United preview (34.30) • PART 3d: Fulham v Arsenal preview (38.30) • PART 3e: Man City v Everton preview (40.10) • PART 4a: Tottenham v Aston Villa preview (42.55) • PART 4b: Forest v Chelsea preview (44.55) • PART 4c: The rest of the Premier League weekend (49.50) Hosted on Acast. England on the brink, Scotland’s miserable wins + Dyche to Forest?

Jimbo has Tom Williams, Mark Carey and Matt Davies-Adams for company as the international break heats up. England will qualify for the World Cup with a win in Latvia on Tuesday. Was Thomas Tuchel right to call out the fans for a lack of noise in the win over Wales? Scotland’s World Cup destiny stays in their own hands but fans are left feeling pretty pessimistic about their performance levels. Unlike the Faroe Islands who also boast two wins out of two this week. Away from the international scene, Jack Wilshere is the new Luton manager, Steven Gerrard is not the new Rangers manager and could Sean Dyche be set to replace Ange Postecoglou as Forest manager? Plus Megan Feringa joins us for a round-up of the action from the WSL where Chelsea continue to win without playing that well, while reports of Barcelona’s demise seem to have been premature. Produced by Charlie Jones RUNNING ORDER: • PART 1a: Wales v Belgium again + quiet England fans (01.30) • PART 1b: World Cup qualifying results(10.00) • PART 1c: All hail the Faroe Islands (13.00) • PART 2a: Latvia v England preview (16.30) • PART 2b: Two wins out of two for Scotland (21.30) • PART 2c: Northern Ireland v Germany preview (24.30) • PART 2d: Sexy Netherlands and an anniversary (27.00) • PART 3a: Wilshere joins Luton (33.00) • PART 3b: Gerrard turns down Rangers (34.30) • PART 3c: Forest to replace Ange with Dyche? Totally Extra: Dennis Bergkamp - the footballer’s footballer

Atleti stun Real as Barca v PSG headlines Champions League week

Jimbo assembles the Euro crew as Julien Laurens, Pol Ballús, Seb Stafford-Bloor and James Horncastle chat through all the weekend’s domestic drama - and look ahead to MD2 in the Champions League. In Serie A, there was a statement of intent from Milan in their 2-1 win over Napoli on Sunday night to take Max Allegri’s side top of the table. They’re on 12 points alongside the men from Naples and Roma - who made it four wins from five against Hellas Verona. Real Madrid were handed a shock on Saturday afternoon - beaten 5-2 by city rivals Atleti to end their perfect start to the season in emphatic fashion. Elsewhere, injury-ravaged Barcelona took full advantage - into first place after their come from behind, 2-1 win over Real Sociedad. But what shape are they in to take on PSG on Wednesday night? Speaking of - the French champions eased to a 2-0 win over Auxerre after their defeat by Marseille last Monday. Lyon moved level on points at the top with Luis Enrique’s side courtesy of a goal from Tyler Morton in their 1-0 victory at Lille. And in the Bundesliga - Harry Kane smashed yet more records, as his brace in Bayern’s 4-0 win over Werder Bremen meant he became the fastest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five leagues. Totally Extra: Derby County 2007/08

For this week's Totally Extra, Jimbo is joined by Duncan Alexander, Charlie Eccleshare and Stuart James to look back at Derby County's infamous Premier League campaign in 2007/08. Wrong place, wrong time for Billy Davies and Paul Jewell whose otherwise decent managerial careers were put under the spotlight with the history-making 11 point season. January business gone wrong, a -69 goal difference and only one win all season, but are they the worst Premier League side ever? Stuart has stories from Swindon's 93-94 season as the panel look at some of the other contenders for this unwanted moniker, including Sheffield Utd in 23-24. Plus, some of football's other unwanted records, including the longest goal drought and the player who had the longest run without a win. Produced by Jesse Howard and Charlie Jones. Jimbo's got Natalie Gedra, Duncan Alexander and Charlie Eccleshare alongside him for a look back on all the midweek action (so far) - and look ahead to MD6 in the Premier League. There's also reaction to Forest's 2-2 draw with Real Betis in the Europa League on Wednesday night. Then it's all eyes on the Premier League weekend - with the battle of the unbeaten sides at Selhurst Park, Arsenal trying to break their recent St James' hoodoo, Villa hoping to end their worrying start to the season - and Chelsea desperate to recapture some of that Cole Palmer magic after his remarkable first half showing in this fixture last year. A Ballon d'Or for Dembele and goals galore for Kane

Jimbo’s got James Horncastle, Seb Stafford-Bloor, Pol Ballús and Julien Laurens for company as the Euro gang dive into another busy weekend of action from across the continent. In La Liga, Real Madrid continued their sensational run of form to begin the season with their latest victory, a 2-0 win over Espanyol featuring two absolute golazo’s from Éder Militão and Kylian Mbappé. They maintained their two-point lead over Barcelona - who beat Getafe 3-0 - with Marcus Rashford starting on the bench due to his poor timekeeping… Over in France, we were made to wait for Le Classique with dramatic storms sweeping over the Cote d'Azur… don’t worry, Jules will give his reaction to *that* result next week! Thankfully, we were able to talk about a fiery Brittany derby and Monaco’s resurgent Ansu Fati. In Serie A, Juve were perhaps suffering from a UCL hangover as they were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw at Hellas Verona, while Lorenzo Pellegrini’s remarkable redemption arc at Roma continued as he scored the only goal in Roma’s first win ‘away’ to Lazio since 2016. And in the Bundesliga, you’ll never guess… Harry Kane is scoring goals! Three of them to be precise - taking his tally to 70 goals in 67 league matches. But he wasn’t the only British export bagging a dreierpack - with Oliver Burke getting three of his own in Union Berlin’s 4-3 victory at Frankfurt! Martinelli rescues Arsenal against Man City but Liverpool go 5 points clear

Jimbo has Daniel Storey, Jay Harris and Adrian Clarke for company, reacting to an enthralling Matchday 5 in the Premier League. Man City were seconds away from a victory at the Emirates in a distinctly un-Pep performance before Gabriel Martinelli struck to make it 1-1. But champions Liverpool go 5 points clear after their Merseyside derby win on Saturday. Is Ryan Gravenberch the player of the season so far? Elsewhere Wolves are rock bottom with no points, Villa scored but couldn't beat 10-man Sunderland and Chelsea's bad run at Old Trafford continued. And we pay tribute to Oliver Glasner’s Eagles who beat hapless West Ham to make it 17 games unbeaten. Produced by Charlie Jones RUNNING ORDER: • PART 1a: Arsenal 1-1 Man City (04.00) • PART 1b: The rest of Sunday’s action (14.30) • PART 2a: Liverpool 2-1 Everton (22.00) • PART 2b: Man United 2-1 Chelsea (26.30) • PART 2c: Brighton 2-2 Spurs (32.00) • PART 3a: West Ham 1-2 Crystal Palace (39.00) • PART 3b: Wolves 1-3 Leeds (47.00) • PART 3c: Burnley 1-1 Forest (50.00) • PART 3d: Fulham 3-1 Brentford (54.00) Hosted on Acast. Liverpool strike late again against Atletico - next up the Merseyside Derby

Jimbo, Charlie Eccleshare, Colin Millar and Duncan Alexander assemble to pore over Tuesday and Wednesday's pretty tasty Matchday 1 Champions League ties. Another late Liverpool goal? You don't say! We begin with Wednesday night at Anfield and the dramatic 3-2 win over Atletico, before turning attention to Chelsea's self-inflicted wounds in their 3-1 defeat by a superb Harry Kane-led Bayern Munich. Juve 4-3 Inter, Barca hit six and the Champions League returns

The Euro crew are back as Jimbo, Pol Ballús, James Horncastle, Julien Laurens and Seb Stafford-Bloor (in person!) assemble for a bumper look ahead to Matchday 1 in the Champions League. Barcelona proved it’s a case of no Yamal, no stadium, no problem - routing Valencia 6-0 in front of less than 6,000 fans at the Johan Cruyff Stadium. But it’s Real who continue to set the early pace - reduced to 10-men but still able to get the better of Sociedad to maintain their perfect start to the season. The game of the weekend came in Serie A, where the Derby d'Italia certainly didn’t disappoint as the Thuram brothers took centre stage in a 4-3 thriller in Turin. Plus - Antonio Conte 2.0 shows he’s not as inflexible as everyone thinks - with his Napoli side coasting to a 3-1 win at Fiorentina to also make it three wins from three at the start of the campaign. Bayern warmed up for the visit of Chelsea with an emphatic 5-0 Bundesliga victory over Hamburg on Saturday, while Leverkusen got the post-ten Hag era off to a winning start in their 3-1 beating of Frankfurt - despite being reduced to nine men! PSG suffered injury blows aplenty in their 2-0 win over Lens which featured an emotional goodbye to one of their own - Presnel Kimpembe - after more than 20 years at the club. Plus, how equipped are Marseille to come away from the Bernabéu with a result in one of the most intriguing ties of the round? All that plus training ground cats, Charli xcx’s wedding, nights out in Monaco and a whole lot of innuendo (we can only apologise). Produced by Lucy Oliva. Totally Extra: How special were Mourinho’s Porto?

Jimbo welcomes Duncan Alexander, Michael Cox and Pedro Pinto to reminisce on Jose Mourinho's trailblazing Porto side. The panel look back on a time when this young, refreshing coach from Portugal turned Porto into world beaters, winning the UEFA Cup, 2 Primeira Liga's, 2 Portuguese cups and eventually the Champions League, with a talented side more attacking than you remember. His European success, his way with words and his iconic touchline celebration at Old Trafford were most people in the UK's introduction to Mou, in what would become a long and unforgettable career. Underwhelming England head to Serbia + dream debuts in the WSL

Jimbo's got Matt Davies-Adams, Michael Cox and Tom Williams alongside him to run the rule over a busy weekend of international qualifiers and WSL action. There's a chance to reflect on the news that broke late on Thursday that Daniel Levy is to leave Tottenham after nearly 25 years as the league’s longest-serving executive chairman. Jimbo welcomes Duncan Alexander, Felipe Cardenas and Luis Miguel Echegaray to discuss one of the great forgotten sides of the last three decades - the Colombia team of the early 90s. Led by Carlos Valderrama and sprinkled with the antics of goalkeeper Rene Higuita, Colombia captured the affections of many neutrals at Italia 90 and an iconic 5-0 win in Argentina saw them installed amongst the favourites for USA 94. Amid the backdrop of death threats from the cartels, a side featuring Asprilla and Rincon were eliminated early with Andres Escobar tragically murdered 10 days after scoring a crucial own goal. Not the only Escobar in this remarkable story. Produced by Charlie Jones and Lucy Oliva. Leverkusen call time on ten Hag as Vardy arrives in Serie A

Jimbo’s got James Horncastle, Seb Stafford-Bloor, Pol Ballús and Julien Laurens alongside him for a whole lot of European football chit-chat after an eventful transfer deadline day. We begin over in Italy, where Jamie Vardy’s now having a party in Cremona after his late move to newly-promoted Cremonense. Speaking of strikers - will the arrival of Rasmus Hojlund cement Napoli’s status as favourites for the Serie A title? Next stop - Ligue 1 - where it was goals galore on Saturday, as Lille put seven past Lorient in an extraordinary second half showing and Toulouse v PSG finished 3-6 with a Joao Neves masterclass… where he scored a hat-trick featuring two overhead kicks! Over in the Bundesliga, Erik ten Hag’s short and fraught spell as Bayer Leverkusen manager was brought to a swift end following their collapse against 10 men in Saturday’s 3-3 draw at Bremen. So where did it all go so wrong? And where do they turn next? And in La Liga, Barcelona felt the benefit of VAR going awry - but they could only draw with Rayo Vallecano as Real Madrid took advantage as they continued their perfect start to the campaign under Xavi Alonso. All that - plus the curse of being a former Manchester United manager, unsavoury scenes at the Leagues Cup final in Seattle - and the Sound of Music! Produced by Lucy Oliva. Famed for his blistering pace and a penchant for rounding the keeper, but also for his regular fallings out with managers around the globe, resulting in his nickname 'Le Sulk'. Amorim’s Man United knocked out by Grimsby, as Arsenal head to Anfield

Jimbo's joined by Duncan Alexander, Tom Williams and Colin Millar to take stock after a night of pure drama at Blundell Park as Manchester United suffered the indignity of being dumped out of the League Cup by League Two Grimsby Town. How will Liverpool's defensive chaos match up with Arsenal's more measured approach to these big games? Another Barca remontada & McTominay still leads the way at Napoli

Jimbo’s joined by Julien Laurens, Pol Ballús, Seb Stafford-Bloor and James Horncastle for your weekly dose of football chatter from across the continent. We begin in Germany, where Bayern Munich got their title defence underway in emphatic fashion with a 6-0 thrashing of RB Leipzig. Harry Kane picked up where he left off last season, scoring a 13-minute hat-trick to take him to a ludicrous 65 goals in 64 Bundesliga games. Not such good news for Erik ten Hag’s Leverkusen though - beaten 2-1 by Hoffenheim at the BayArena. In Ligue 1, despite the chaos off the field Marseille found some unity on it to beat Paris FC 5-2 at the Vélodrome, while PSG recorded another narrow 1-0 win as their underwhelming performances continued. Olivier Giroud stole the headlines with a 91st minute winner for Lille against Monaco - the 350th goal of his professional career! Over in La Liga, there was late drama as Barcelona fought back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at Levante. Meanwhile Real Madrid made it two wins from two themselves in far more comfortable circumstances at newly promoted Real Oviedo. And there were plenty of intriguing scorelines in the first week of Serie A - including Inter’s 5-0 rout of Torino, Max Allegri’s Milan beaten 2-1 by the promoted Cremonense - and KDB kicking off life at Napoli with a goal in their 2-0 victory at Sassuolo - but he'll have to go some way to take Scott's crown... Eze set for Arsenal not Spurs - will Isak end up at Liverpool?

Jimbo's got Natalie Gedra, Jay Harris and Dom Fifield along for the ride as we look ahead to Matchday 2 in the Premier League - and discuss some rather hefty transfer news that might have caught your eye... That's right - it looks like Tottenham have been gazumped to the signing of Eberechi Eze by their old friends Arsenal... yikes! So does this mean that the Gunners really do have all the tools to win the Premier League? And where do Thomas Frank's Spurs turn now with a squad that looks ill-equipped to deal with the pressures of a busy schedule? There's tasty ties everywhere you look this Bank Holiday weekend - no more so than Monday night at St James' Park as Newcastle host Liverpool. What's the latest with Alexander Isak after Tuesday night's statement tête-à-tête? Elsewhere - there's more beef to be had between Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest at Selhurst. Is Graham Potter already in big trouble against former side Chelsea on Friday night? And what sort of Tottenham will turn up at Manchester City - with Pep's side having won just 1 of their last 4 against the visitors at the Etihad?! The news that Romelu Lukaku is set to miss the first three months of the season with a muscle strain could open the door for a challenger to Napoli’s crown. So will it be a resurgent Milan or perhaps Gasperini’s Roma that put up the greatest fight? And in Germany, Harry Kane’s won another trophy! Bayern take home the Supercup. While there are still some areas of concern for Vincent Kompany’s side - have the teams around them done enough over the summer to produce a title race? Produced by Lucy Oliva. Jimbo's joined by Tom Williams, Daniel Storey and Tim Spiers as we continue our look ahead to the 2025-26 Premier League season - and after shining the spotlight on the six teams competing in the Champions League during our last episode, today we turn our focus to the rest of the sides in the top flight.
