More Real points dropped, Milan top + could PSG really be stopped?

Jimbo’s joined by the Euro crew as James Horncastle, Seb Stafford-Bloor, Pol Ballús and Julien Laurens assemble for our weekly slice of continental action. We begin in La Liga, where Real Madrid continue to falter - held to their third consecutive draw, this time at the hands of Girona. Barca managed to take advantage and reclaim top stop after their 3-1 win over Alaves - but there’s just a point between each of the top four as the title race hots up! In France, Paul Pogba’s Monaco toppled PSG! But Marseille also managed to drop points! So it’s Lens who go top of the table! For the first time since 2004! Over in Italy, Milan continued their remarkable record against Serie A’s big boys in their 1-0 win over Lazio. It means they’re top of the league - but only on goal difference after Napoli’s narrow 1-0 win at Roma on Sunday night. Plus, the sorry tale of Fiorentina’s winless campaign. And in the Bundesliga, Bayern need TWO stoppage time goals to get the better of lowly St Pauli, stretching their lead at the summit to eight points - while Arsenal loanee Fabio Vieira bagged a 94th minute winner of his own to help Hamburg get the better of Stuttgart. Produced by Lucy Oliva. RUNNING ORDER: • PART 1: Moments of the weekend (00.40) • PART 2: La Liga review - Barca go top as Real’s wobble continues (13.35) • PART 3: Ligue 1 review - Lens take advantage as PSG & Marseille falter (26.50) • PART 4: Serie A review - Milan go top as Napoli get back on track (36.00) • PART 5: Bundesliga review - Dortmund climbing and Sandro Wagner sacked (52.05) Hosted on Acast. Arsenal v Bayern & Chelsea v Barca headline European midweek

Jimbo beams in Seb-Stafford Bloor from Hamburg and James Horncastle, Julien Laurens and Pol Ballús in the studio (!) for a latest dose of European and poultry-based chitchat ahead of MD5 in the Champions League. It’s a midweek full of fascinating ties with Arsenal hosting Bayern, Chelsea welcoming Barca - and PSG taking on Tottenham (again) as we enter the latter stages of the league phase. We’ve got all the usual tales from across the leagues, including Marseille purring in Ligue 1 ahead of the visit of Newcastle on Tuesday night - as they put five past Nice in unkind fashion on Friday night. In Germany, Bayern gave Freiburg a two-goal head start but still managed to win 6-2, with Michael Olise turning on the style as he prepares to face former Palace teammate Eberechi Eze on Wednesday evening… The Serie A title race shows no sign of letting up as it was Milan who took the bragging rights in the Derby della Madonnina - but it’s Roma who lead the way at the top of the table as Evan Ferguson finally opened his account! While in Spain, there’s signs of discontent at Real Madrid as they dropped yet more points, this time at newly promoted Elche - and that’s before the news that Vini Jr and Xavi Alonso aren’t too chummy… more on that later in the week! Produced by Lucy Oliva. RUNNING ORDER: • PART 1: Hellos, degrees - and moments of the weekend - (00.45) • PART 2: UCL MD5 key ties/ Ligue 1 review - João Neves = goal machine (11.10) • PART 3: More UCL fun/ Bundesliga review - Karl & Olise shine for Bayern (23.45) • PART 4: Serie A review - Milan is red and Bologna are great (40.00) • PART 5: La Liga review - Real drop more points as Antony sees red (53.00) Hosted on Acast. Bayern no longer perfect, Conte being Conte - and ten Hag back to Ajax?!

Jimbo’s got Pol Ballús, James Horncastle, Julien Laurens and Seb Stafford-Bloor all along for the rollercoaster ride through the weekend’s action across the continent. We kick things off in France, where PSG have João Neves to thank for their two-point lead at the top of the Ligue 1 table after his 95th minute winner against Lyon. But chasers Lens and Marseille had wins of their own to keep the pressure on Luis Enrique’s side. In the Bundesliga - Bayern didn’t win a game! But neither did Leipzig or Dortmund, meaning Vincent Kompany’s men have actually extended their lead at the top of the table to six points despite the 2-2 draw at Union Berlin. In Spain, Real Madrid were lucky to come away from Rayo Vallecano with a point - which Barcelona took full advantage of in their 4-2 win at Celta Vigo, featuring a hat-trick from 37-year-old Robert Lewandowski. A special guest joins us from Vigo… nothing to do with Nando’s…. And in Serie A, are we seeing a repeat of Napoli’s last title defence?! Antonio Conte made some… interesting comments after his side were beaten 2-0 by Bologna to fall behind Inter and Roma at the top of the table. Plus - what’s going on at Ajax?! Dutch football expert Michiel Jongsma joins us to explain some of the fun and games in the Eredivisie - and whether a certain ten Hag might be making a return… Produced by Lucy Oliva. RUNNING ORDER: • PART 1: Moments of the weekend (00.45) • PART 2: Ligue 1 review - PSG’s late winner and billionaire v billionaire (07.45) • PART 3: Bundesliga review - does no one want to stop Bayern? (20.35) • PART 4: Eredivisie review - Ajax’s latest crisis & RvP at Feyenoord (30.15) • PART 5: La Liga review - Barca’s new Camp Nou - plus a Messi return?! Liverpool v Real & PSG v Bayern top midweek Champions League billing

Jimbo, Julien Laurens, Pol Ballús, Seb Stafford-Bloor and James Horncastle are all aboard for your latest Euro Edition - with a pretty mouthwatering MD4 upon us in the Champions League. We begin with some of those key midweek battles including yet another showdown between PSG and Bayern, the Trent/ Alonso Derby as Real Madrid head back to Anfield - and the meeting of minds as Marseille v Atalanta pits Roberto De Zerbi against Ivan Jurić. Domestically, in Serie A Luciano Spalletti began life as Juve manager with a 2-1 win at Cremonese - and he’s not shy about their title ambitions this season, just four points behind Napoli in top spot. Real Madrid maintained their commanding position at the top of the La Liga table - but are things all as they seem behind the scenes under Xabi Alonso’s management? After a peculiar round of results in midweek PSG got back to winning ways and are two points clear at the top of Ligue 1 - while Monaco tasted defeat for the first time under Sébastien Pocognoli. And in the Bundesliga - there’s questions around Dortmund’s identity under Niko Kovač - and what the expectations are for Bayer Leverkusen as they were outclassed by a seemingly unstoppable Bayern. Plus - the ongoing Nando’s animosity continues - and garlic bread is added to the equation… Produced by Lucy Oliva. RUNNING ORDER: • PART 1: Moments of the weekend (00.45) • PART 2: Champions League MD4 standout fixtures (11.20) • PART 3: Serie A review - Spalletti’s bright start and Napoli’s big week (21.10) • PART 4: La Liga review - Unrest at Madrid despite near perfect start? Haaland's evolution, the difference between good and great and what's the most intriguing league?

There were some fun results this weekend, so Musa and Ryan begin with a quick recap of some games around Europe (02:00), including more goals and red cards in Germany, Arsenal extending their lead at the top of the Premier and League and a wonder goal from Piotr Zieliński in Inter’s win at Verona (16:42). Celtic, Juventus and when victory defeats you

Here's a clip from today's epiosde, where Musa and Ryan chat about Brendan Rodgers' Celtic resignation, Juventus firing Igor Tudor and how periods of sustained dominance lead to stagnation at both clubs. Check out the full episode on Patreon, for more on this, as well as Hearts’ emergence, Serie A becoming a multi-team race and whether the things that clubs want are the same as what they actually need. Bellingham shines in dramatic Clasico as Juve show Tudor the door

Jimbo’s got James Horncastle with him in the studio and Seb Stafford-Bloor, Pol Ballús and Julien Laurens in far flung corners of Germany and Spain for your weekly round up of European footballing fun. There’s only one place to start - and that’s with events at the Santiago Bernabéu on Sunday afternoon as Real put an end to Barca’s recent Clásico dominance in typically tempestuous and dramatic fashion. Over in Italy, it was eight games without a win too many for Igor Tudor - dismissed by Juventus after their 1-0 defeat at Lazio. Meanwhile, Napoli went back top but lost KDB in bizarre circumstances - and back-flipping Jamie Vardy opened his Cremonese account! In a shock twist of fate Harry Kane *didn’t* score for Bayern Munich this weekend, but it didn’t matter as they made it 13 wins from 13 games in all competitions in their 3-0 victory at Gladbach. Closest challengers Leipzig continued their sensational form as they put six past Augsburg. And in Ligue 1, PSG are back on top thanks to their 3-0 win at Brest - taking full advantage of the defeat handed out to Marseille by high-flying Lens who are now up to second in the table! All that plus - cancelled holidays in Miami, unsightly gestures and plenty of ill-tempered confrontations. Produced by Lucy Oliva. RUNNING ORDER: • PART 1: Moments of the weekend - and top-secret snails… (00.45) • PART 2: La Liga Review - Jude stars as Yamal starts arguments (10.30) • PART 3: Ligue 1 review - PSG back on top as Lyon continue to surprise (24.35) • PART 4: Serie A review - Tudor no more as Napoli return to winning ways (30.45) • PART 5: Bundesliga review - Leipzig on fire and Karl only scores bangers (48.10) Hosted on Acast. Are Inter the best team in Serie A? Plus Real v Juve leads midweek action

Jimbo’s got James Horncastle, Seb Stafford-Bloor, Pol Ballús and Julien Laurens with him as the Euro crew gear up for MD3 in the Champions League. In La Liga, there were 15-second delays and it was the late show once again for Barcelona who had to rely on another stoppage time winner, this time against bottom of the table Girona. Real’s narrow 1-0 win at Getafe sets us up beautifully for Sunday afternoon’s Clásico… It was goals galore in Ligue 1 as Marseille put six past Le Havre, while PSG and Strasbourg played out a 3-3 thriller on Friday night. So how will Luis Enrique’s side fare away at a resurgent Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday night? We’re running out of superlatives - and records for Harry Kane to break - after his latest goal in Bayern’s dominant 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund. Plus, what hopes of Eintracht Frankfurt piling more misery on Liverpool when they go toe-to-toe on Wednesday evening? And over in Italy, the title race continues to take turn after turn as Napoli and Juve dropped more points while the two Milan sides took advantage, with Serie A’s top four separated by just one point. Meanwhile, the controversy over the decision to plan Milan v Como in Australia isn’t going away… All that plus (more) sumo chat, Potter’s return to Sweden - and lots of jesting about goals vs clean sheets. Produced by Lucy Oliva. RUNNING ORDER: • PART 1: Moments of the weekend - crazy reds and free tickets… (00.45) • PART 2: Champions League MD3 standout fixtures (11.10) • PART 3: La Liga review - Barca leave it late again as Antony’s at the double (20.00) • PART 4: Ligue 1 review - PSG held again while Marseille run riot (31.35) • PART 5: Elsewhere in Europe - Ajax’s struggles and Potter’s back in Sweden! Scott McTominay: Our Brother of Naples

Scott McTominay left a struggling Manchester United to become Serie A’s Most Valuable Player, win the Scudetto for Napoli and be nominated for the Ballon D’Or - all in one year. Was he this good all along? Is he finally getting the respect he always deserved? This episode of Football Daily, hosted by football writer and Copa 90 presenter Eugene Noble, goes right back to the start of Scott McTominay's incredible story and explores the making of McTominay: How he grew from the Man Utd academy, to being taken under the wing of José Mourinho and performing on the international stage. We speak to the likes of Paul McGuinness and James Weir, coaches and players who knew him at the academy, as well as podcasters, pundits and fans such as Jay Motty, Joe Fischetti and Umberto Bernardo, who have tracked his career from Old Trafford to the Neapolitan sun. We also hear from football journalist Mina Rzouki about how Scott has transformed under Antonio Conte, as well as Scottish Legend and commentator Pat Nevin about how he is becoming a symbol for the nation in the blue shirt of Scotland. We even speak to Scotland head coach Steve Clarke about Scott’s crucial role to the international team and a conversation that sparked Scott’s career back into life. In 2026, McTominay is facing his biggest season yet: Napoli have a title to defend. They’re back in the Champions League. And Scotland have their World Cup qualifier campaign already underway. So, the question isn’t just how Scott McTominay got here - it’s how much higher can he go?

Seb Stafford-Bloor, Pol Ballús, Julien Laurens and James Horncastle (at the airport!) are alongside Jimbo for your latest dose of intriguing European fare from across the continent. In Serie A, Juventus and Milan played out a goalless draw, allowing Napoli to take advantage and take back top spot after their come from behind 2-1 win over Genoa - courtesy of a late winner from Rasmus Hojlund no less. USMNT Abroad: Pulisic skies penalty vs McKennie, Dest returns while Jedi Robinson sits

From Serie A to the Championship, this week’s USMNT Abroad is packed with drama, goals, and global headlines. In Italy, Christian Pulisic and Weston McKennie faced off in Juventus vs AC Milan’s scoreless draw. Pulisic’s rare penalty miss ended his perfect start to the year. In the Netherlands, Sergiño Dest returned for PSV, going 73 strong minutes, while Ricardo Pepi was left off the bench. EPL delivered chaos as Tyler Adams helped Bournemouth climb into UCL contention, Chris Richards went the distance for Palace, and Brenden Aaronson started in Leeds’ narrow loss to Spurs. Are we hitting the panic button over Jedi Robinson’s situation with Fulham? In the Championship, Haji Wright stayed scorching hot, while Josh Sargent continues to slide. Big wins and big narratives in the Premier League

It’s early days, but following on from last weekend, it felt like the balance shifted in the Premier League this match day. Narratives were flipped and results seemed more crucial, heading into the men’s international break. Musa and Ryan begin at Stamford Bridge, where Chelsea’s win over Liverpool highlighted a few issues that Arne Slot has trying to figure out all season (04:26). Arsenal’s win at home to West Ham saw them go top (19:37), with the noise from a fortnight ago fully subsiding. Elsewhere (32:31), Everton ended Palace’s unbeaten run, Manchester United kept it calm, Bournemouth continue to impress and much more in the Premier League. Finally, there’s a quick shout out for La Liga, the Bundesliga, Serie A and more (40:01). Plus, Americans to watch in Champions League matchday 2 (48:25), Benjamin Cremaschi’s U20 World Cup hat-trick (55:25), Quinn Sullivan’s untimely injury (58:59), and a preview of tomorrow’s U.S. Open Cup final between Austin FC and Nashville SC (1:02:45). Atleti stun Real as Barca v PSG headlines Champions League week

Jimbo assembles the Euro crew as Julien Laurens, Pol Ballús, Seb Stafford-Bloor and James Horncastle chat through all the weekend’s domestic drama - and look ahead to MD2 in the Champions League. In Serie A, there was a statement of intent from Milan in their 2-1 win over Napoli on Sunday night to take Max Allegri’s side top of the table. They’re on 12 points alongside the men from Naples and Roma - who made it four wins from five against Hellas Verona. Real Madrid were handed a shock on Saturday afternoon - beaten 5-2 by city rivals Atleti to end their perfect start to the season in emphatic fashion. Elsewhere, injury-ravaged Barcelona took full advantage - into first place after their come from behind, 2-1 win over Real Sociedad. But what shape are they in to take on PSG on Wednesday night? Speaking of - the French champions eased to a 2-0 win over Auxerre after their defeat by Marseille last Monday. Lyon moved level on points at the top with Luis Enrique’s side courtesy of a goal from Tyler Morton in their 1-0 victory at Lille. And in the Bundesliga - Harry Kane smashed yet more records, as his brace in Bayern’s 4-0 win over Werder Bremen meant he became the fastest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five leagues. All that plus the Labubu black market, Panama hats - and a celebration of 0-0’s. Produced by Lucy Oliva. A Ballon d'Or for Dembele and goals galore for Kane

Jimbo’s got James Horncastle, Seb Stafford-Bloor, Pol Ballús and Julien Laurens for company as the Euro gang dive into another busy weekend of action from across the continent. In La Liga, Real Madrid continued their sensational run of form to begin the season with their latest victory, a 2-0 win over Espanyol featuring two absolute golazo’s from Éder Militão and Kylian Mbappé. They maintained their two-point lead over Barcelona - who beat Getafe 3-0 - with Marcus Rashford starting on the bench due to his poor timekeeping… Over in France, we were made to wait for Le Classique with dramatic storms sweeping over the Cote d'Azur… don’t worry, Jules will give his reaction to *that* result next week! Thankfully, we were able to talk about a fiery Brittany derby and Monaco’s resurgent Ansu Fati. In Serie A, Juve were perhaps suffering from a UCL hangover as they were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw at Hellas Verona, while Lorenzo Pellegrini’s remarkable redemption arc at Roma continued as he scored the only goal in Roma’s first win ‘away’ to Lazio since 2016. And in the Bundesliga, you’ll never guess… Harry Kane is scoring goals! Three of them to be precise - taking his tally to 70 goals in 67 league matches. But he wasn’t the only British export bagging a dreierpack - with Oliver Burke getting three of his own in Union Berlin’s 4-3 victory at Frankfurt! Plus - we’ve got plenty of Ballon d’Or chat, loud helicopters and particularly cheeky Nandos… Produced by Lucy Oliva. RUNNING ORDER: • PART 1: Moments of the week & Ballon d’Or chat (00.40) • PART 2: La Liga review - Real keep winning with Madrid derby round the corner (20.55) • PART 3: Ligue 1 review - Emegha shows his commitment to Strasbourg (35.40) • PART 4: Serie A review - worrying times for Fiorentina, Lazio & Torino (44.35) • PART 5: Bundesliga review - goal machine Kane - and Burke! Juve 4-3 Inter, Barca hit six and the Champions League returns

The Euro crew are back as Jimbo, Pol Ballús, James Horncastle, Julien Laurens and Seb Stafford-Bloor (in person!) assemble for a bumper look ahead to Matchday 1 in the Champions League. Barcelona proved it’s a case of no Yamal, no stadium, no problem - routing Valencia 6-0 in front of less than 6,000 fans at the Johan Cruyff Stadium. But it’s Real who continue to set the early pace - reduced to 10-men but still able to get the better of Sociedad to maintain their perfect start to the season. The game of the weekend came in Serie A, where the Derby d'Italia certainly didn’t disappoint as the Thuram brothers took centre stage in a 4-3 thriller in Turin. Plus - Antonio Conte 2.0 shows he’s not as inflexible as everyone thinks - with his Napoli side coasting to a 3-1 win at Fiorentina to also make it three wins from three at the start of the campaign. Bayern warmed up for the visit of Chelsea with an emphatic 5-0 Bundesliga victory over Hamburg on Saturday, while Leverkusen got the post-ten Hag era off to a winning start in their 3-1 beating of Frankfurt - despite being reduced to nine men! PSG suffered injury blows aplenty in their 2-0 win over Lens which featured an emotional goodbye to one of their own - Presnel Kimpembe - after more than 20 years at the club. Plus, how equipped are Marseille to come away from the Bernabéu with a result in one of the most intriguing ties of the round? All that plus training ground cats, Charli xcx’s wedding, nights out in Monaco and a whole lot of innuendo (we can only apologise). Produced by Lucy Oliva. RUNNING ORDER: • PART 1: Moments of the week or fortnight or whenever - and a UCL tease (00.45) • PART 2: La Liga review - Barca win big while Madrid stay perfect (11.40) • PART 3: Serie A review - 4-3 thriller in Turin and a new look Conte (26.10) • PART 4: More Serie A - just for Jules! The latest on Lookman (50.45) • PART 5: Bundesliga review - Bayern looking ominous (57.50) • PART 6: Ligue 1 review - A late Mbappé winner and fury towards BlueCo (71.15) Hosted on Acast. Leverkusen call time on ten Hag as Vardy arrives in Serie A

Jimbo’s got James Horncastle, Seb Stafford-Bloor, Pol Ballús and Julien Laurens alongside him for a whole lot of European football chit-chat after an eventful transfer deadline day. We begin over in Italy, where Jamie Vardy’s now having a party in Cremona after his late move to newly-promoted Cremonense. Speaking of strikers - will the arrival of Rasmus Hojlund cement Napoli’s status as favourites for the Serie A title? Next stop - Ligue 1 - where it was goals galore on Saturday, as Lille put seven past Lorient in an extraordinary second half showing and Toulouse v PSG finished 3-6 with a Joao Neves masterclass… where he scored a hat-trick featuring two overhead kicks! Over in the Bundesliga, Erik ten Hag’s short and fraught spell as Bayer Leverkusen manager was brought to a swift end following their collapse against 10 men in Saturday’s 3-3 draw at Bremen. So where did it all go so wrong? And where do they turn next? And in La Liga, Barcelona felt the benefit of VAR going awry - but they could only draw with Rayo Vallecano as Real Madrid took advantage as they continued their perfect start to the campaign under Xavi Alonso. All that - plus the curse of being a former Manchester United manager, unsavoury scenes at the Leagues Cup final in Seattle - and the Sound of Music! Produced by Lucy Oliva. RUNNING ORDER: • PART 1: A deep dive into Salzburg - and some moments of the week! (00.45) • PART 2: Serie A review: Vardy's latest party and are we sleeping on Juve? (09.15) • PART 3: Ligue 1 review: Neves' perfect performance (24.20) • PART 4: Who'd be an ex-Man United boss? Plus chaos in Seattle (36.00) • PART 5: Bundesliga review: ten Hag's Leverkusen nightmare (41.20) • PART 6: La Liga review: Barca blink first as Antony returns a hero (59.50) Hosted on Acast. Liverpool’s super Sunday, Ten Hag sacked and a huge Hamburg Derby

As men’s football heads into its first international break of the season, Musa and Ryan chat about Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Arsenal at Anfield, thanks to an unbelievable Dominik Szoboszlai free-kick (04:57). With Alexander Isak and Marc Guéhi set to be announced as new signings too, it was a very super Sunday for Arne Slot and his team. They wrap up the rest of the Premier League, including wins for Brighton over Man City, Bournemouth's win at Spurs plus big wins for Palace and West Ham. It's then onto the Bundesliga, as Erik ten Tag was sacked by Bayer Leverkusen after just three games in charge (29:56). Ryan was also at St. Pauli's win in the Hamburg derby on Friday (37:13) and Dortmund’s win over Union on Sunday, so there’s a load of chat from the German top flight, before rounding up some other goings on in Ligue 1, Serie A, La Liga and more! Another Barca remontada & McTominay still leads the way at Napoli

Jimbo’s joined by Julien Laurens, Pol Ballús, Seb Stafford-Bloor and James Horncastle for your weekly dose of football chatter from across the continent. We begin in Germany, where Bayern Munich got their title defence underway in emphatic fashion with a 6-0 thrashing of RB Leipzig. Harry Kane picked up where he left off last season, scoring a 13-minute hat-trick to take him to a ludicrous 65 goals in 64 Bundesliga games. Not such good news for Erik ten Hag’s Leverkusen though - beaten 2-1 by Hoffenheim at the BayArena. In Ligue 1, despite the chaos off the field Marseille found some unity on it to beat Paris FC 5-2 at the Vélodrome, while PSG recorded another narrow 1-0 win as their underwhelming performances continued. Olivier Giroud stole the headlines with a 91st minute winner for Lille against Monaco - the 350th goal of his professional career! Over in La Liga, there was late drama as Barcelona fought back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at Levante. Meanwhile Real Madrid made it two wins from two themselves in far more comfortable circumstances at newly promoted Real Oviedo. And there were plenty of intriguing scorelines in the first week of Serie A - including Inter’s 5-0 rout of Torino, Max Allegri’s Milan beaten 2-1 by the promoted Cremonense - and KDB kicking off life at Napoli with a goal in their 2-0 victory at Sassuolo - but he'll have to go some way to take Scott's crown... Produced by Lucy Oliva. RUNNING ORDER: • PART 1: Unsatisfactory sausages & moments of the weekend (00.45) • PART 2: Bundesliga review - Kane just scores goals - and Leverkusen just look bad (11.35) • PART 3: Ligue 1 review - Marseille chaos continues as Giroud rolls back the years (24.55) • PART 4: La Liga review - Barca stage yet another comeback as Real start strong (35.05) • PART 5: Serie A review - Inter look angry while McTominay still wears the crown (48.05) Hosted on Acast.
